View Full Version : hypothetical. just say we do get relegated, what should our transfers be?
If we do get relegated to serie B (the absolute worst that can happen to us) what should we do transfer wise.
We would still have around 20m to spend, as that seems our yearly transfer budget, the 30m from the sheva transfer would have to written off to cover the lack of money from other sources for the next 2 years. (as we would probably get thrown out of europe and be unable to qualify the next year)
the risk would be losing Kaka, other teams are so interested. Gattuso and Kaladze may go elsewhere aswell.
who would we have to sell, and who would we buy?
Sell nobody. why do we have to sell? we need buys. and not Torres. definitely.

really would like to keep Gattuso, pirlo, Nesta and Kaka and build a team arround them, if we did go down those 4 players are the ones which we should loan out and keep hold of..... if we did go down maybe aim for the likes of Barzagli, bovo.. use Brocchi + Foggia... Gilardino has already said he would play for Milan in seria B and even use pozzi and borriello? dont really want to be thinking about Seria B right now....
i think the majority of players would stay to be honest, especially the older ones like Serginho, Cafu, Maldini, Favalli, Inzaghi, etc.
It would be an option to loan out players to other clubs for a season if they didn't want to play in serie B, but then when you think about it ... are those the kind of players you want at the club anyway ? The kind that bail on you when you need them the most.
I think we'd be ok in Serie B and it would just be a case of aiming our sights alot lower. So Suazo or Lucarelli might be more apt to life in Serie B. The thing is we would want to get out of the league in one season and hopefully not stay there :D

***bye bye juve fan***
LOL @ Favorite Player: Stefano Farina & Gianluca Paparesta
coming from a Juve-fan ;)
Didn't Galliani say that all players should respect the contracts? :D So nobody is leaving. :D
Seriously, I feel that most Italians probably would stay, as it would be just one year after all. Like some of you here, I feel that Kaka' should be on top of the "leave us" list.
But I don't think we will go to B. :)
u guys are going to be he he he he BBILIAN, we (Juventus, the best team of the history of Italy) are going to stay in A, max. stay in B and be in A next year ;)
Welcome. (Sorry that it was the first time for me to read your post.) And bravo to your comments. Truly to the point. :haha:  Couldn't be truer. :eekani:
p.s. didn't see this dude was already banned. :D I will take back my welcome then. :rotfl:
he was a racist idiot only causing trouble ... people like him won't be tolerated here and it coincides with the new tougher laws being enforced now :ban: :rr30: :D
I suppose people like him won't be tolerated anywhere. :D
Very true Xudong

players do have contract but there is a term about that they should be released if they have the relegation cause in their contract . It mean that the player can go free if the club relegated. No $$ need to be paid by both party.
This should never happen but in that case, buy some players and send them on loan, I think we could say by by to Kaka and whoever wants to leave. Would be a perfect excuse to offload Rino and Pirlo would leave too. Nesta would maybe stay. In a nutshell, we would loose all of our top stars and would have to have faith in our experienced players to bring us upt to Serie A. Im working on compiling a team built around Masherano. Anyone know a top of the class left winger for 4-4-2? Except for Robben, Duff, Joe Cole and Reyes?
ill call up my secretary and ask for one, should be ready by friday
We should just re-unite our squad from 1998-1999 and get Zac back as coach. The players we had back then, Sala, Giunti, De Ascentis, Guly plus Zaccheroni as coach...and I thought we were serie b material back then, LOL!!!

if we are relegated dosnt that meen that half of europe will be reported to uefa because of clubs (chelsea) contacting players for transfers? but as Xudong said Galliani said that they have contracts to respect so they wont be going nowhere!
Galliani said that they have contracts to respect so they wont be going nowhere!
I'm also 100% sure your team won't get relegated, but you should know that in 99% of the cases, players are free to leave if the club falls in B ( it's a part of the deal when they're signing the contract).
Absolutely the same thing is with Juve, so i don't think it's any different with Milan. Players like Gigi, Zambrotta, Ibrahimovic and all the others are free to go ( not for free tho) if Juve falls, and it's the same with Kaka, Gila, Pirlo and all the others.
i guess loan these guys:--
-kaka
-pirlo
-gattuso
-nesta
-gila
the upside of this is gourcuff which he will really be connected to the team as he will say like i made milan go to seria a and would be a starter so he could really get a lot of experiance for a 20 year old. i so dont belive that milan will go to seria b cuz italy will win the world cup.

That`s true...plus in Seria B the limit of the salary is way more cheaper than in Seria A...so i dont expect to see salary reduction to all Milan players...because that`s the only way they can stay in Milan even if they want to stay...they cant because of there high salaries...so if we are going to be relegated than i expect loans and sell of our top players

Chris i think he means, even if we get relegated, why we be stopped from playing in CL next season.
I can answer u in this way: if juve get relegated, would u think its fair if they compete in CL (instead of Roma, who actually played their hearts out) while playing in B? The FIGC wud not allow it definitely. Just look how they took away the Italian ref a few weeks b4 the wc after they found out he might have been involved.
Well he clearly asks "why can't Milan qualify for Champions League after being promoted from Serie A"...
The only thing up for discussion in that sentence, is wether or not he meant going into the Champions League straight (the 2007/08 season), or using that very season to gain a top4 spot and thus play Champions League the 2008/09 season.

have you seen the way the relegation is implemented. we don't just go down, our position in serie A is re-classified as last place so we get relegated. You can't qualify for the CL if you officially finish in last place.
Hey guys, whats the chances of us actually getting relegated. I cant seem to make much sense of the 10 million reports about this whole thing. To be honest Iv been trying to enjoy the WC and not think about it too much, but with that coming to an end its starting to get rather worrying. So whats the latest??

one question i had is:
if we get relegated, can ac milan loan the player and get it back when the team are back in serie a w/o transfer fee?
Only if the players agree, they have the option of ripping up their contracts.
andres d'alessandro would be a great left winger i guess.. he's in portsmouth(epl) anyway.. i'd think he'd be glad to come to a great club like Milan coz we'd be back up in seria in just 1year(if we do go down) and be in europe after 2years/1year(if we win the coppa italia that is :P) its still way better than portsmouth the relegation battler..
too soon to go that far... let's keep our fingers crossed, and trust our managers (and lawyers)
so far, it seems like there is no evidence against Milan... the name has been mentioned because of conversations Galliani had with some of the ones involved...
but in his position it was inevitable... he had to talk to them...
Juve is in much more trouble than Lazio, Fiore, or Milan...

"Ripping up their contracts"???? That sounds to me like they can leave for free as they are out of contract, which I really don't think is the case. But anyway, all our stars would leave pretty cheap I believe...
I have read on a few other forums and message-boards that apparently we are lining up Pascal Cygan should we get relegated for our alleged role in the match-fixing scandal.
Apparently we'd move for him to replace some of the players that would be likely to leave and he'd be prepared to leave Arsenal for first team football.
He looks like he'd be a great player for us and he has a wealth of CL and Premiership experience.

I've done a bit of research on him:
Last season Arsenal won 11 of the 15 matches Cygan has played in and kept 9 clean sheets in the process; he was named in the Opta team of the week on January 9, 2006.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal_Cygan
On stats alone, Pascal Cygan was the best and most consistent left back in the Premiership last season.
He is experienced, he is a decent passer of the ball, he is strong in the tackle and commanding in the air. I think he's not the quickest of defenders but our leagues aren't as fast paced as the premiership most of the time.
If we go down to a lower league then he won't be coming up against big named strikers. I mean he trains with Bergkamp, Persie and Henry every day so he must know something about defending against good strikers.
I'm not saying he's ideal but the consequences of the match fixing scandal would mean we'd have to lower our sights - if just for a season. I can see why the club would be interested in signing him if (god forbidding) we do get relegated.
Proprio per quelle scelte io me ne andai.
A destra come a sinistra.
what does it mean ???
the title is Juve in B, MIlan -9 points.
Is this the verdict or a perdiction?
I think is a prediction :510: :510: :finger: :finger: :1old: :1old: :eekani: :eekani:

[FONT=Franklin Gothic Medium]Look... Minus 9 points is not as bad as getting relegated... So we should be happy... Does juve get stripped off its not so long established titles?
I wish to not be regalated, even with 10 points minus not only we will survive but we will definatelly win the title. Only Juve could fight for the champion with us, if Juve will be regalated and we will stay, we will win the champion and we will also buy players from Juve. Which will stop us Inter? :5inter:
I believe if we will get Buffon, we should sell Dida is in good shape and we can take a high wage which we should invest in other players. Our roster for Seri A is not bad but we need transfers to win finally CL. :p283: :3band:
Finally i believe that if the decision is possitive for us Berlusconi will anounce transfers immediately which now he cant because we wait for decision to get. One of them will be Ze Roberto with contract 2,5 million euro a year for two seasons a player who cant help as left back, left midfielder and defensive midfieldere.
Last night i was organizing my video tapes in some categories i found three tapes from final in Manchester, the speakers were saying: "After a couple of years the great team of Milan reach again the trophy, after the final in Athens, foe Seedorf is the third with different team i am frustrated the last years we reach the water and we cannot drink!!!! :5schal: :frustrat: : :rone: :rone: : :wallbang:
