the manager of klose says that 16mil€ is enough for werder bremen to let klose go...

klose impressed uring the WC and arsenal has noticed it.the english club sees the german striker as an ideal replacement for dennis bergkamp. also milan has intresse in em, because sheva has left milan for chelsea.
klose scored 40goals for werder in 2years, the german club doenst want to sell klose

schutt, the manager of klose, has let us know that klase has the intresse of arsenal and so on... he thinks werder will let the player go for about 16mil€, klose still has a contract for 2 years

16 million euros ... hmmmm. I'm not sure if that's a good deal or not. We could do with another Bierhoff :D

Thats a good deal for both parties...Aside from last year, he's proven himself over and over and would come to milan to impress...Even though he's a trader to Poland...Expect results from Klose next season wherever he lands...

but our style now is very different from bierhoff's time. Heading is not that high up on our goal scoring style. of course i won't mind him at milan though.

If this were the UN and I had a veto, I'd use it against Klose. He might have skills he might score goals and all, but I simply disslike him all the way to New York and back! Please, anyone but him :)

How can anyone like Klose???? Am I being a Paris Hilton now? :)
Just trying to avpid responsibilyty if he comes and one day scores an important goal for us, but I am serious about this.

tevez would be a good replacement as well, i wasn't convinced that he would be that good... he is really amazing!

but tevez ~40mil€ cause chelsea bid for em last year i think around 36mil€ and they refused it...
corinthians with tevez and mascherano could do big business IMO could get 70mil€ for both of them...

close is good but to old 28 :| pffffff

Yea.. since when is 28 years too old.. Shev is 29-30 and everybody loves him. AND Klose has done a MUCH better job than Torres at WC. So why do people believe is Torres is better.. I have no clue.

I wish I could tell you why but I share the same opinion as you. It's probably because we are clueless and don't know anything about football. :grinser:

They just believe that if a player isn't younger than 25.. he can't be of use to us. No matter how badly Torres does, they'll continue making excuses for him. Tevez has done a better job than torres imo. But Klose has outshined them both. Even Podolski has done a better job but he is going to Bayern Munich I think. We'll see how he handles the Italian defense in the semifinal.

im talking for only 2 players of these national teams . Tevez and Torres :)

Klose doesn't has enough skill, he's much more a target striker than an all round multivalent forward... and what we are in real bad need is the second kind of footballer...

What I was sayin, is that Spain had easier opposition to play against. But anyway your opinion is yours.

If I were to decide among those three, my rank would probably look like this:

1) Tevez
2) Torres
3) Klose

There is a difference between quality players and average players who have a knack for having great tournaments. I will agree that Klose is having a fantastic tournament. The guy is absolutely red hot at the moment. But the question is if he has the quality to sustain that sort of form for an entire European season. I have seen quite a lot of him since the last world cup and am far from convinced. He reminds me of people like Schillaci who can have absolutely awesome tournaments and then fade when required to perform consistently over a season.

I dont know, i might be wrong, but I just dont think Klose has what it takes to replace Sheva. I rate all of our current strikers (with the exception of Amoroso) higher than him at present.

If we talk about now then Klose is clearly a better choice than Torres. He scored clearly more goals the two last seasons, played much better in the world cup and is much more refined. I would compare him with Henrik Larsson, great off the ball movement and his heading skills is mostly because of that movement.

Still, if I had a choice I would take Tevez.

I wish to say that I'm sorry I spoke badly about Klose. I saw him play with a lot of hart at the WC and that made me change my oppinion.

Everything said abou us already having a box striker is true I think, so i don't see if we need him. Maybe, a Klose Tevez or a Klose Suazo combo : :uhm:

Did someone watch Il Capitano Maldini sit just beside Bierhoff in Germany at the Semifinal match?? Don't we think that "something" being discussed between them? Maybe they also discussed about Klose...nobody knows.

IMHO to compare Klose to Sheva is still a bit too far...Henry would be nearer to be matched with Sheva...so sorry that he's still with Arsenal...maybe next year if not being too old at that time...

I'd go for Klose as a striker too. I haven't seen him in leagues but he's been consistent in scoring during the World Cups. Plus he'd have more experience than Torres and we've seen more of what he can do. It depends on what we wanna go for.

sorry but i cannot agree that Klose is good enough for Milan... you might as well mention Crouch if that is the case... Klose only had one match against a top defence & that is Italy... and he did nothin' worth mentionin' at all... Argentina may be a top side... but they are known better for their attack...

Despite all the World Cup (and every club game I have seen him play) I am still not sure Torres will be a success in Milan. I would prefer a Tevez to him.
None are really Sheva replacements in the sense of the way Sheva was a big match player, at his best during derbies, etc.

I don't want to be a smart ass here but what did Henry, Sheva do against the Italian defense, nothing and its the same when we say that some players didn't do good against Milan so because of that he´s no good but who have a good (Maradona against England kind of game) game against Milan?
When the Italy and Milan defense is playing to their full strength they are probably the best defense units in the world, no shame having a bad game against them
p.s. I don´t want to sound like a smartass If I do i´m sorry

i would gladly go for him, i think the good think about the sheva sale is that he seems to be less dangerous these last few months, klose is an exact copy of a shevchenko at 80% of his ability, with a team like milan he could be even better

Josh-Sheva

He is special... Top scorer on most competitions. Newcastle are also after him now...

Rando

based on the world cup only, klose is definitely the best striker by FAR, and he is topscorer too, so no question about it. he surprised me by his dribbling, vision and passing, i thought he is only good at heading!
i dont mind having him at milan, but suazo is better option i think, i doubt torres will be successful, tevez? he is good player but where will he fit in the squad? big name gone does not necesssarily mean need to be replaced by big name, besides big name doesnt guarantee success!

Dear everyone,

The administrative team has improved the barring system in order to make MM a more friendly place to visit.

We strongly advise you to click the following link to read our updated rules and systems (it won't take even more than a minute to finish reading them).

Thank you,

The Adminstrative Team

Why couldn't you have just posted that at the top of the forum, in a seperate thread or something (oh I see you might have done that already? :tong: ).
Bumping 10 or so threads just to post that isn't the way to do it imo :P

Bumping threads, so to put it, takes a lot of time and effort and Jeff did it namely because most people won't even care to look at the message if it were in one single thread at the top of the forum.
Thanks Jeff :5drunk:

Hehe I appreciate the effort put in, dont get me wrong ;)
It's just kinda annoying :(

Wouldn't it be possible to put the text itself at the top (well, almost at the top) of the page itself? ( http://www.milanmania.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=5 <--that one)
People should notice it then, seeing as the whole page layout would be changed...
