Download From Youtube

[Vadim]

I've been searching for a while now and I think I've finally found a great tool if you want to download videos from youtube or other similar sites.

First off, you need Firefox, which you should use anyways. Its a much better than Internet Explorer.
http://www.getfirefox.com/

Then go to this site and install this add-on.
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/

Restart firefox, and you'll see an icon on the bottom left of your screen, it should be right above the time. Go to youtube, click on it and follow the instructions.

The annoying part of this is that the files are in .flv format (WTF), and to play them you need the FLV Player. Here is a link to get it.

http://www.flvplayer.com/

There is a program that lets you convert it to other formats, but I'm not sure if that's safe. If you're interested PM me and I might be able to convert it for you. Any questions about this, feel free to PM me. Enjoy!

It has been a problem for me for ages that I couldn't download those youtube-videos to my pc, so: thousand thanx for sharing this information :v408: :v408: :v408:
My problem now is that I downloaded a video (the first step is done) but I cannot even watch it because for some reason this flvplayer doesn't work for me. I have to add that I'm not a computer expert :pchate:
And of course I cannot convert it either....

Dude, it can be done a lot simpler than that.

Just go to http://keepvid.com and follow the instructions.
