after fall down to bring crespo and ibra milan have seen the possibility ti sign david trezeguet from juve.

and if we bring him , i'll think that he is the worthy striker to replace sheva...

Come on Milan

Just wouldn't make sense. He's the type of point man that we don't really need. Besides, Juve isn't going to want to sell him unless they absolutely have to after losing Ibra.

I personally have nothing against Milan getting Trez. Apart from Inzaghi and Nistelrooy at his best, there is hardly a player that comes even close to the deadly finishing of the French. let's not forget that Pippo being 33 can't carry on forever, and now that Crespo is gone, Trez is one of the few strikers out there who would give us experience and deadly finishing up front.
It's true that we have Gila, and Huntelaar being Dutch means he will always be an option for us, but none of these guys has the experinece Trez would bring us. Plus he is still 28 - closing in on 29 - and that's excellent age for a striker - Pippo joined us when he was 28, i think.
And unlike Ibra, Trez has showed a lot of professionalism in the current situation Juve's in plus he has never been known for a trouble maker. So, provided that he is available at the right price 15-20 mil, I will be actually glad to see him at Milan.
And getting Trez dowsn't necessarily mean we won't go for a support striker, as the management has made it clear before that, after loosing Sheva, our main goal up front is signing exactly that type of player

I can understand that someone don't want Trezeguet because he's to similar to the strikers we already have, but is he old and overrated?

He's born on October 15th 1977, which makes him 28 - almost 29. A year younger than Shevchenko.

He scored 23 goals in Serie A last season and finished 2nd on that list after Toni, and four goals ahead of Shevchenko.

For Juventus:
Serie A: 151 matches, 95 goals
Champions League: 46 matches, 27 goals

For France:
56 matches, 34 goals
World Cup winner, European Championship winner

So... Not overrated if you ask me. But that doesn't mean he's my 1st choice striker. That is still Torres, and then Tevez...

Edit: I see now that my numbers aren't 100% correct, but almost. At least you can see he is a real goalscorer.

same thinking, i won't mind him being here for the right price even though we have a lot of target man. he is just like inzaghi, a good 1-1 replacement. but i seriously doubt there is any truth in this. Trez is willing to stay with juve and surely juve doesn't want to sell their best striker.

my words exactly.
He is not overrated as some say, but he is underrated. Trezeguet is all time best foreign scorer for Juventus with more than 120 goals in 6 seasons, and he is in top 10 Juventus scorers of all time. Look at his goal records from every season and you will see he always scores 20, 30 or more than 30 goals.
Zlatanov did good comparing him with Pippo and he even has one more advantage, and it's his headers.
But i will not get too over exited about this, because i don't want another disapointment as i had with Zambrotta , Cannavaro and Ibrahimovic.
He used to score much against us, so it will be good to buy him if we look from that perspective also. And he always scored against Inter :ilol: :3band:

"I can understand that someone don't want Trezeguet because he's to similar to the strikers we already have, but is he old and overrated?"
and
"But that doesn't mean he's my 1st choice striker. That is still Torres, and then Tevez..."

He is a good goal snatcher but there is a problem :wth:
Most of you guys might dont know that one of the qualities to become an AC Milan player is beauty or some uniqueness. example:-
Marco Van Basten-bauty
Frank Rijkarrd-unique hairs
Ruud Gullit-unique hairs
Paolo Maldini-beauty
Edgar Davids-unique hairs + glasses
Claerece Seedorf-unique hairs + that head band he used couple of years back
Jon Dahl Tomasson-beauty
Alessendro Nesta-beauty
Andrea Pirlo-beauty
Pippo Inzaghi-beauty
Alberto Gilladinhio-beauty
Kaka-beauty
Johann Vogel-beauty

So I am sorry to say that David Trezeguet is neither handsome/beautiful nor having some uniqueness like Edgar Davids so he can't be an AC Milan player and its as simple as that :o

Then he won't shoot the penalties and we don't have a problem
My friends, i can't believe many of you underestimate Trezeguet. He was Juve's Sheva and Inzaghi at the same time. He was their savour all the time. The player they call Trezuegoaaaal or Trezuegold. Won't it be superfantastic if we can take him from them
I respect many former and current Juve players, but when it's about Trezeguet, i love him as a player, not only respect.
You now remember the penalties he missed for France in WC final or for Juve in CL final (thank you for this Trezeguet :5schal: ), but you suddenly forgot the golden goal he scored for France in EURO 2000 final, all the goals he scored to Real Madrid, Bayern Munich,Arsenal and every other team Juventus played against in Champions league, the goal he scored against us last year at San Siro, and the all time Serie A record he holds for scoring in 9 matches in a row - he did this in past season.
Except for season 2004/2005, when he was injured most of the time, he was Juventus best scorer in 4 out of last 5 seasons. Juventus let all those classy players go but they are now offering him 6 M Euro per season, just so he will stay. They didn't try to keep Zambrotta or Cannavaro, but they are doing everything to keep Trezeguet.
Moggi was well known for his criminal activities, but he was also well known as a transfer guru. He never made mistakes when it was about transfers, and he was the one who insisted Inzaghi to be sold just so Trezeguet will get the chance to play in attack.
You will attack me, but for me Trezeguet is much better attacker than Inzaghi and Gilardino are, and i am more than sure he will score minimum 20 goals in Serie A and many more in Coppa or CL if we sign him.
Trez in Milan will be a dream come true for me, because he is simply unstoppable.

Look at his stats and think again if he's not good enough for us :

Juventus/France :
2005/06 matches39 , goals 30
2004/05 matches23 , goals 14
2003/04 matches35 , goals 28
2002/03 matches28 , goals 16
2001/02 matches37 , goals 33
2000/01 matches32 , goals 16

So, in last 6 seasons while he is in Juventus and played for France, he appeared in 194 matches and scored 137 goals, with many of them being decissive in important matches.
How can you not want him in Milan  :5schal:

yes... i agree with you Vonim... Trezeguet is better than both Gilardino & Inzaghi... however... i wouldn't want him in Milan unless we can offload Inzaghi... yes the Inzaghi that scored the sole goal against Red Star... even if we get Trezeguet... we still need to find a forward... and gettin' him will not end our search for a forward...

Juventus ain't even going to sell us their ball boys, they fell in love with the club who sent them to Serie B, Inter Milan, and his old board member Guido Rossi, now big FIGC boss and grand inquisitor of the calciopoli and they sell them all their players in the hope he will grant them mercy in appeal. In their dreams... or could it be? Buffon, Ibra, Viera for Serie A + penalisation? What do you think?

In their eyes, we are the devil (which we are of course, just look at our mascott)

Strange things tend to happen with senile old women's thoughts sometimes!

Vonim

Buffon, Ibra, Viera for Serie A + penalisation? What do you think?
!
I don't think they are so stupid to do this. UEFA told figc loud and clear how Juventus back in Serie A may mean a few years ban for all italian clubs, and will certanly mean at least 5 years ban for Juventus from all european competitions. That is why i am sure Juventus and Rossi aren't even thinking about back in A this year.
But what you are saying makes sence if the deal was done earlier. What i want to say is Juve was granted not to go in C (they deserved C minimum and found themselves in B), and even got -17 points deduction instead of -30.
-17 in Serie B was a great favour for Juventus, and now it's a pay back time.
It's just my theory, but i can't find something else to explain why Juve is selling to Inter and not to Milan.

Trezeguet eyes Juve exit Thursday 14 September, 2006
________________________________________
The current season may be David Trezeguet’s last one with Juventus, as he could leave the Bianconeri in 2007.

The French international is contracted to the Turin outfit until 2008, but a new FIFA rule could allow him to move one year ahead seeing as he is older than 28.

Trezeguet will make his Serie B debut on Saturday in the home match against Vicenza, as he begins his seventh season with the Turin club.

The striker made no secret of his desire to leave the demoted giants during the summer, but was not allowed to leave despite being the target of Real Madrid, Liverpool and French champions Lyon.

Juventus forced the player to stay after the summer departures of Fabio Cannavaro, Emerson, Gianluca Zambrotta, Lilian Thuram, Patrick Vieira and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

They even offered him an extension until 2010, albeit with a wage decrease.

Trezeguet, who is the club’s seventh highest scorer of all time thanks to his 125 goals, remains keen on leaving Turin though, and may do so in June by taking advantage of the FIFA rules.

Reports suggest that the striker, who missed the only spot kick in the penalty shoot-out defeat to Italy in the World Cup Final, intends to do his best to help Juve immediately regain their top-flight status before bowing out.

His new outfit would therefore have to pay only a compensation fee to Juventus, surely a much lower amount than the true value of the player.

Well..i know that the transfer window is close already but this is interesting new. All the player demand to leave except old Nedved n Del Piero. If we have the change to get Trez on lower price that he actual value i dont mind having him here..

Trezeguet isn't Milan material. Other than Oliveira and Borriello, every Milan striker is better than him. Also, we don't need such an established Juventino. Too weird (Pipo is an exception). We just won the CL, we can attract much better than Trezeguet. Also, what's with all this Emerson talk. Do people really want him at Milan and why? Aren't we satisfied with Seedorf. Easily the best player this season other than Kaka.

On the last part - Emerson has nothing to do with Seedorf. He'll take Amrosini's place if he joins Milan.

As for Trezeguet....if you don't want him as an established Juventino, then i can understand you.
But Trez not being Milan material ? If a player who averaged 21 goals per season while playing with Juve in serie A and CL ( 126 goals / 6 seasons) isn't Milan material then noone else in the world is Milan material.
And who is much better ( in terms of scoring goals) than Trezeguet out there ? Only Shevchenko who averaged 24 goals per season ( in 90 matches more than Trezeguet) and RVN with 30 goals per season in last 6 seasons ( on 95 matches more than Trez), have better record than the frenchman ( all european best leagues included).

You may doubt his quality and form in season 2006/07 , but he couldn't motivate himself in serie B and i wouldn't take this bad season so seriously (he still scored 14 goals eventhough without any motivation).
Wherever he plays next year, he'll be gold and best scorer of the team. Trez will be a top scorer even in another league (guys like Trez have no problems when changing leagues) , and if he stays in Italy and plays in serie A , i bet you he'll score +20 goals.
Too bad Inter is the team interested in Trezeguet !

Trez sucks and I just dont see how anyone in their right state of mind could want him at Milan.
:D
Fine. I'll have to use links to prove it :irritate:

David Trezeguet in Juventus :
2000/2001 : Matches:32 Goals :15
2001/2002 : Matches:46 Goals :33
2002/2003 : Matches:28 Goals :13
2003/2004 : Matches:34 Goals :22
2004/2005 : Matches:24 Goals :14
2005/2006 : Matches:42 Goals :29
Total : Matches:206 Goals :126
in 6 seasons he played 34 matches per season and scored 21 goals per season. 0.62 goals per match
http://www.juventus.com/uk/team/detailPlayer.aspx?lml_language_id=0&trs_id=1488000&ID=2408

Andriy Shevchenko in Milan :
1999/2000 : Matches:43 Goals :29
2000/2001 : Matches:51 Goals :34
2001/2002 : Matches:38 Goals :17
2002/2003 : Matches:39 Goals :10
2003/2004 : Matches:45 Goals :29
2004/2005 : Matches:40 Goals :26
2005/2006 : Matches:40 Goals :28
Total : Matches:296 Goals :173
In 7 seasons Sheva played 42 matches per season and scored 24.7 goals per season. 0.58 goals per match
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andriy_Shevchenko

Ruud Van Nistelrooy in ManUtd and Real Madrid:
2001/2002 : Matches:45 Goals :36
2002/2003 : Matches:50 Goals :44
2003/2004 : Matches:41 Goals :30
2004/2005 : Matches:26 Goals :16
2005/2006 : Matches:39 Goals :24
2006/2007 : Matches:41 Goals :31
Total : Matches:242 Goals :181

In 6 seasons RVN played 40 matches per season and scored 30 goals per season. 0.75 goals per match
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruud_van_Nistelrooy

I didn't count Trezeguet's season in serie B and Sheva's season with Chelsea because serie B won't give the true picture, just like Sheva's year in Chelsea won't give the true pic on Sheva's goalscoring abillities.
Also, Ronaldo beats them all but his long term injury makes it really hard to make statistics like the above ones.

As you can see Zlat, i was right about everything ( except the number of matches RVN played. I counted all the matches, including the ones he played in Dutch league).
Don't mess with the Statistics Man

you know what I think about all this, Tony ... besides that Trez is a useless and overrated player? ...
I think you need a new sarcasm detector :D

I got your sarcasm you silly.
But you gave me a chance to use statistics to prove a point and you know i'd never miss such a chance :grinser:

Oh , and Samuca.... Trez is solid also in Champions League. 28 goals in 44 matches ;)

IMO, Trezeguet is one of the most underrated strikers in the world. I really rate this player. As Tony correctly points out, his scoring rate is phenomenal. He has also been more crucial for France than Henry (ok he missed a penalty in the shoot-out last summer but he also won them Euro2000).

Great player who can adapt to any team. If Trez comes, he will come with experience and drive.

I fully agree ... in fact I have often said that would like to see him at Milan as we'll need an experienced and reliable target-man once Pippo retires.
Actually, before the CL final I was seeing this as Pippo's last season with us and wanted namely Trez to replace him but after those 2 goals va Pool, how do you get rid/retire a player like Inzaghi?!

i rather don't see 'em at milan. he is an amazing striker. but why should we buy him?
so juve could buy huntelaar?

let's focuse to our current strikers: ronaldo, gila, pipo (,borrielo, olviveira)
we should buy a young one, 1 that won't complain sitting on bench and a very good sub for our current 1s.

i can't say don't buy treze because he is amazing, but just not the player we are looking for.
we are IO looking for a fast striker (which he is) but with exelent dribling capacities(which he isn't)

You know how my work goes. 3-4 hours per day :)
And since the school year is over i have nothing to do but sit by the PC and wait for some lost soul to enter my office and ask me something about the exams.
And since noone's asking me anything i've got all the time in the world to spend on fan and betting forums .

And i don't think there's a chance Trezeguet to join Milan. Galliani ruled out the Gila-Trez swap deal option and i simply can't see Milan offering money for Trez, nor i can see Juve selling Trez to Milan.
If Trez is sold then it will be La Liga or EPL , i doubt it will be serie A (although, Secco could make some genious Trez-Samuel or even better, Trez-Burdisso swap :d55: )

for now, Tony, for now ... and I doubt Juve would agree to atraight swap either but if Gila doesn't show a significant improvement AG might give it a thought to send him to Juve with Trez and 5-6 mil going the other way.

On the last part - Emerson has nothing to do with Seedorf. He'll take Amrosini's place if he joins Milan.

It definitely has to do with Seedorf! We rarely play with the 4 central midfielders we did in the last several games in the CL and in the league. We will return to our typical 4-3-1-2 and Emerson will be put at LM and that would definitely lower the number of games Seedorf plays. Still, their is a chance we will pay with the new formation as we have been succesfull with it. In that case, we would have a slow-paced midfield that is very defense oriented with already having a player like Gattuso. Also, I'm not asking for a 20 year old but we do have a good aged midfield and let's not mess with that. If anything, let's focus on our defense. Our entire Left side is shaky with Jankulovski not being a true defender and Maldini consistently injured.

Seedorf is great but he is getting older. The fact that we are still going to have to qualify for the champions league, and play the additional tournaments because we won the champions league, may be to much for Seedorf to play all of that. With the fact that our midfielders are older this would give us insurance and allow us to rest them with a quality guy like trez. I am sure they have talked with Seedorf and the others about adding another great midfielder to the group.

Buddy, Trezeguet plays forward last time I checked. I was talking about Emerson being a threat to Seedorf's job.

Trezeguet is a great stricker and can useful for MIlan or any other team ,however, its almost impossiable that Juve will let him go he is their top forgien goal scorer(I think) and they did not let him go last year despite that he did not want to stay so there is no reason now to sell him

zlatanov

actually, it's almost 100% certain that Trez will leave Juve given that his contract expires in a year and he publically made a disrespecting gesture towards the current management after they had made, what is beleived, an unacceptable offer for contract renewal with not only not improving his salary but actually decreasing it compared to his current terms, whihc offended Trez.

It seems that the management has already decided the players future - away from Turin - and they simply made him an offer they knew there was no way he would accept ... they basically washed their hands with him and made it look as if he is the one who wants out and basically put all the blame on him should his replacement turn out to be flop and the fans start protesting.

So, Trez is virtually history for Juve, the question is would they consider selling him to milan, provided we want him at all, given that they already said categorically "no" to a possible move of his to Inter.

Tony29.

The categorical No is for all Italian clubs, Gigli made it clear. Check the Italian interview with him.
But i couldn't care less. I still can't get over Trez departure so i'll stay out from the Internet in next day or two until i calm down.

I really doubt Trez would come here just to be backup. Unless he's the *big striker* who we're planning to buy, which most likely he isn't. IMO our striker force next year will be: Ronaldo, Gila, Pippo, New striker. When Pippo retires we'll bring Pozzi back.

Trez would be a great option! He's proven, almost thirty (that's almost always the inclusion criteria for Milan these days :)), and needs a new challenge. The guy is virtually a guarantee for goals. Would be great if we could get rid of RO and get Trez instead.

As for Juve being able to dictate where he goes, there is only so much they can do. He's got a year left on his deal, if they dont sell him now, they will wind up with an unhappy, unmotivated player for a year, who then leaves on a free. It the end, it depends on teh player, if the player makes it clear that he will only consider options from such and such club, then I think Juve have no choice but to comply

I think you're wrong here.
According to Trezeguet's words, he wants to stay in Juve but the team wants him out (i still can't believe they are so stupid).
So, its not the same case as it was with Vieira and Ibrahimovic where Juve had no choice but to sell them to Inter.
This time Juve can chose where to sell him and eventhough it will have to be done with Trez's agreement, i don't think Trez will refuse to join an English, Spanish or French giant.
Juve's BOD were clear when they said Italian teams are not an option for Trez (although i think they may change their mind if an exchange deal with Gilardino or Adriano takes place) and according to Trezeguet's agent Barcelona and Arsenal are an option in case Henry or Eto'o leave while Valencia, Manchester United and Lyon are also after Trezeguet.

Trezeguet's says he wants to stay with Juve, and after 7 years with the team i don't think his choice will be Milan, or Inter. If he leaves it will be a Shevchenko like departure - going abroad !

First and foremost, I hate to say this but I have to touch my heart
and admit that Trez is the 2nd Best Foreign Goal Scorer this Decade
in Serie' A next to Sheva ( His goal scoring record for Juve says so! )

He would Undoubtedly put RO GILA Borrielo through Goal Scoring
School in the training Sessions IF he does come to Milan.
No doubt about that. But after more than Half a decade in Juve,
I seriously doubt he could ever play for another Serie'A Club. Hard to
say though ( I thought the same thing with Batistuta going Roma )

A player of his calibre will undoubtedly improve Milan as a squad but
I simply cant see him playing 2nd fiddle to the likes of the incompetent
Gila & Oliveira but he is more or less the finished article and may not
improve much ability wise except for consistency while RO & Gila have
a lot of undeveloped potential.

All said and done, I would really love to see him play for Milan Only IF
he wants to stay in Italy but IMHO, I can see him going to Arsenal due to
the French Connections at the Emirates Stadium

I hear you Tony, but last I heard, it was Trez that made a gesture to the Juve management after scoring what might be his final goal for Juve. As for who wants who out, well who knows? Trez claims that Juve are disrespecting him by not offering him a good contract, so he wants out. Juve may say that Trez does not honour wearing the Juve shirt and refused to sign the extension.

Either way, the point is if he does not sign an extension, then Juve would be stupid not to sell him. Where he goes to will not just depend on the club, but also on Trez. If Galliani, Braida, et al can work their magic on him and convince him that Milan is his best option, and Trez requests a transfer to Milan, then what choice does Juve have? If they dont let him go, he signs for Milan for free next year----it's all hypothetical of course.
