View Full Version : Trofeo TIM: Milan, Inter, Juventus... 8/31/2006
Tomorrow night (thursday 31st.), in San Siro...
the first game is Milan vs. Inter... then the loser of the derby plays Juventus,
then the winner of the derby plays Juventus...
these are the Milan players for these 45min. mini games...
Goalkeepers: Fiori (29), Kalac (16)
Defenders: Bonera (25), Costacurta (5), Favalli (19), Maldini (3), Nesta (13), Simic (17).
Midfielders: Brocchi (32), Kaką (22), Seedorf (10), Lunati (34), Bottini(30), Caraglia (31), Orlandi (36)
Strikers: Amoroso (37), Borriello (12), Aubameyang W. (33), Aubameyang P. (35)
and of course the first question is... who are 34, 30, 31, 36, 33 and 35?
33, Willy Aubameyang did well last season in the Primavera team... but I had not seen the other guys even in other categories...
Willy is a miedfielder or a striker?
my understanding is that he's attacking midfielder... but here he's listed as striker...
and who is P. Aubameyang?
I'm glad we are playing (hopefully playing) alot of our youngsters.
Is Dida injured ? If not how is Kaka playing and Dida isn't considering the Brazil v Argentina friendly on Sunday?
The tournament will be shown on Canale 5, which you can find on http://www.streamerone.com/. It should be labelled as 'Test 2'.
maybe Dida will not be in the game because Buffon will play one game with Juve, and the next one with Milan (as somebody else already posted yesterday)
Or maybe Dida might be going to Corinthians ... they did want him afterall :lala:

They will play for the Trofeo TIM. Juventus is also in the mini-tournament. Each match lasts 45 minutes.
There is already a thread about Trofeo TIM...

Haha
sorry guys, the only one I know is what NAMMY suggested - streamerOne ... that's what I would try actually.
Hey guys what time is the game? My timezone is PST (San Francisco)
maybe Dida will not be in the game because Buffon will play one game with Juve, and the next one with Milan (as somebody else already posted yesterday)
Eh, it would be great, but Buffon won't play for noone tonight. He's with the national team.
I found that Juve will probably have this starting 11 :
Mirante;Birindelli, Giannichedda, Urbano, Balzaretti; Camoranesi, Paro, Zanetti, Nedved; Zalayeta, Del Piero.
And Inter line up is unknown yet, but players like Maicon, J.Zanetti, Figo, Solari, Cambiasso, Adriano and Crespo are expected to play tonight.
Inter bought today Mariano Gonzalez from Palermo. Is he good, because i can't remember who he was ??
The match starts in half an hour !

The tournament will be shown on Canale 5, which you can find on http://www.streamerone.com/. It should be labelled as 'Test 2'.
OK, I just tried NAMMY's advise and it's working pretty well :)
just go to the link above, download the latest version - streamerOne v0.31 Beta (I think), unzip the file, and install the .exe file.
after that, just click the icon that will appear on your desktop. Once you do so, StreamerOne will load in a browser window with an imbedded player and a list of channels on the left - choose/click twice on "Test 2 [160kbps]", this is Canale 5, and give it some time to load.
Thanks NAMMY :devf:
Note: One thing though - I made Internet Explorer to be my default browser (need to allow ActiveX plug-ins to run). I ususally use Firefox but inside Firefox, I had to install some unsigned plug-ins in order to make it run, and this is something I avoid doing ;)

the P2P program will probbaly not work if you have 56k modem ... fast DSL or cable internet is needed for it to work
when you double click the channel, does the channel name - Test 2 [160 kbps] appear ontop of the imbedded player? If it does, then it's not any missing plug-ins or anything like that but most probably the connection ... but keep trying - even for me it DOES take some time before it loads the picture

TIM TROPHY: MILAN 2-1 INTER
8/31/2006
MILAN - Milan defeated Inter 2-1 in the first leg of the triangular tournament. Inter went in front on 19 minutes, Julio Cruz got free of Paolo Maldinis marking at the back post to fire home a low shot. Guiseppe Favalli equalised on 32 minutes when Clarence Seedorf slipped the ball inside the defence and the full-back placed his shot in at the near post. The Rossoneri then went in front on 36 minutes when Borrielo turned in the area and swept a left-footed shot in off the post. Carlo Ancelotti's men will now sit out the next 45 minutes at the San Siro as Inter take on Juventus and the Rossoneri will then play the Bianconeri.

And it does looks so. Juventus even got a red card against Inter. 1 red card and 1 penalty against them. They weren't getting this much in entire season :devf:
1-3, Seedorf again. Good work by Kaka. Fulltime. Yay.

Excellent game by Milan! Excellent tournament by Milan, despite us not signing half the world and his mother.
Wonder how the doom and gloom crew feel now?
Yeah i'll say again its just a worthless cup.
(i would be glad if they keep the game on the same lvl when it starts to matter. And no early goal concedings please...)
what was our line up for the second match ?
TIM TROPHY: MILAN 3-1 JUVENTUS
8/31/2006
MILAN - Milan lifted the TIM Trophy after a 3-1 win over Juventus. Juve took the lead on five minutes when Zalayeta ran through on a long pass to drive the ball into the roof of the net. Borriello then drove a shot against the inside of the post but on 26 minutes Clarence Seedorf crashed a drive in off the underside of the bar to bring the Rossoneri level. Ricky Kaką put Milan ahead from the penalty spot after the Brazilian star was upended in the penalty area. Seedorf then made the result safe with another powerful effort from inside the area after good work in the area by Borriello.
Thank god we kept boriello. I think we might need him badly before january.

Bonera Simic Nesta Costacurta
Bottini Brocchi Seedorf Favalli

Borriello
No It was Costscurta in the Pirlo role for both games, Seedorf ans Kaka were exchangeing places, favalli was helping in the left flank a lot but billy, he was playing a playmaker, one more think we could add to his resume.
Seedorf has played excelent
What a great player
I hope we will not have any problems with our defensive this year

ACMilan.com shows a nice team photo with the trophy from last night's win. Does anyone recognize the 4 guys to the right of Simic? :sweeteye:
Sorry, I though maybe you were the one who was uploading highlights - I guess you just got them off acmilanclub.com!

I watched the TIM trophy last night. Milan lacked a little composure for the first 15 mins in both games and tellingly, that is when they conceeded against inter and juve. However once they went a goal behind they were very good! I was impressed by the team play and Seedorf was on fire. He set up two and scored two goals. How Donkey Piero got the vote ahaead of him is beyond me, aside froma free kick and a penalty, DP was average!
Forza seedorf, if he keeps this up, we will have a very strong midfield!
Also worth noting is Boriello's performance. Scored a good goal, hit the post in another, had a hand in milan's 3rd against juve, all in all, he should be given a lot fo copa italia exposure, and if we top our CL group, he should be allowed to start the remaining games for some CL exposure.
I was hoping to see Gourcoff, but I think he was called up to the U21 team]
Forza milan
p.s. Galliani was in the stands with Oliveria, he was very subdued whenever milan scored a goal, he was almost like the british queen, just a gentle applause! LOL!

well, based on last nights performance ... and that of the past 4-5 years, I wouldn't be surprised if for Inter's next game, Curva Nord had banner that would read "Moratti out, Galliani in"
P.S. Thanks a lot for the links, ZiZu :diablo:
hmmm so now who was those that want seedorf to be replaced by Diarra? :ilol:
And who was those that want to see milan lose just to prove their point? Milan is going to win the treble this season. :rone:

thanks for the highlights. My goodness, kaka is pretty amazing with his side flicks, his vision is now at least 9/10 when taking into account recent matches. With seedorf and kaka, we are going to terrorise our opponents this season. boriello performance doesn't come as a suprise to me, if you guys remember his games for us a few seasons back, i always thought he is a very skillful player but he lack the scoring touch so whether he have really improve on his scoring remain to be seen. I do hope he get more games and get some scoring tips from inzaghi.
seedorf many doubted him, if he plays like this im sure alot of ppl shall be speechless
Fully agree with you SupremeMilan.
here is only a few player like Seedorf when he is in form...a full attacking midfielder.
Just count how many goals he had scored for Milan since his arrival.... and some of the goals were very crucial for Milan's victory.
We should keep him till he decides to retire....if he stay with Milan he could at least "teach" our younger midfielders how to play the best football like he does so far....
Seedorf is a weird case: sometimes he plays just sooooo amazingly well that you won't believe it. You simply CAN"T get the ball away from him. But when he is crap, well.. crappy....

he always seems to start the season so well and then fade. here's hoping the extra responsibilty he'll have being number 10 and the fact we've lost a few stars will keep him motivated until the end.
I've never been 100% convinced of seedorf, but he was one of our most defiant players this year, always saying positive things so I want him to do well.
