please, not Iaquinta, and certainly not for 10mil pounds!!! we could have done a west ham and brought Tevez over on loan for a year and then if he is good enough in serie a, buy him!
I just dont think Iaquinta is worth near that kind of money!

I am happy about this transfer. Naturally he wont score as many as $heva, but I am very optimistic about his pace and athletisism being added to our lineup. Something we needed. Good luck to him for our sake!!

31-08-2006, 05:14
Iaquinta maybe at this moment is the only striker available for transfer
We have to wait another year to actually replace Sheva

K77SH C
31-08-2006, 05:26
Id rather sign no striker and if we get absolutely desperate play Kaka as a forward and put some trust in Gourcuff to play behind the front two. He has alot of speed which will help him alot. If e can torment Lyon's defence which is something none of our senio players can do surely he is a better option than someone like Iaquinta.

ok Jim... no problem... i'll inform Ancelotti to only play Oliveira in Serie A... and let the others play in the CL & Coppa Italia... that way... Gilardino will finally get to score in the CL... Inzaghi would be fit to start CL games... Iaquinta will get chances in Coppa Italia... and hopefully Oliveira will be gettin' at least 24 goals in the league... but the ultimate prize is that we get to see you havin' his kids... dressed in maternity wear... and hopefully a picture/video of you durin' your "pregnancy"... and maybe breast feedin'... LOLZ...

Sheva scored 19 last season and i cant see why one wouldnt get 20 and more. Depends on his fitness and playing minutes ofcourse. We'll see soon enough what to expect, but judging from his previous goalscoring stats we can expect much from him.

Tas
31-08-2006, 07:21
Welcome Oliveira!

PS. Our game isn't going to change much, Sheva or Oliveira, but can see it get better because now Gila is the attacking primadona and he will have O to support him. It was funny to ask Andry to play for Gila ;)

And we have two Rikis now.

Rick
31-08-2006, 07:30
Haha. What a conversation! Well Sheva had seasons where he scored 17, 13 and even a mere 5 in Serie A. I don't think any of those figures are unreachable for Oliveira. :diablo:

Anyway, I'm thrilled that they finally got this saga over with. I agree with Carlo that Oliveira is exactly the right sort of striker to pair with Gila/Pippo. He may not be Sheva, but few have ever been. I think he has a terrific future ahead of him at Milan. :p017:

Oliveira might not score as Shevcenko did, but he can give as options in the atack, his a good and pace dribler, his tall so Im guessing his good in the air, his explosiv too. IMO kind a like Eto but, not as fast and explosiv but better finisher, and Oliveira has great long shot too.

And he was the top scorer in La liga, why cant he be also in Seria A, In fact we dont need him to be top scorer. 18 from him and 25 pippo and gila combined thats enough, we are now a strong group not depended on one individual.

Welcome Ricardo, you see We have Ricardo`s up front now, hope you`lle be as good as the first one

And I'll pay for Jim's sex operation ;)

Seriously though, I believe he'll be a good secunda punta, the one that link midfield to our strikeforce. And it seems he is also a long-range strikers, it does add more option to our attacks.

Weaknesess though, he's a bit on the skinny side isn't he? I just hope he won't be able to have too much problem in defending-style Serie A. Then again, Pippo *is* on the skinny side, and he did just fine.

Granted Oliveira's agent is Ronaldinho's agent & brother. But can some kind soul explain to me how getting Oliveira is supposed to 'pave the way' for us to get Ronaldinho next summer ?

Is it just because we have constant access now to his agent via Oliveira or something? The press have been full of it the last few days and i just fail to see what advantage having Oliveira has in our alleged future obtainment of Ronaldinho.

It helps because of these reasons:
1. Ronaldinho's brother is more than a brother and his agent to him, almost a father and is very influential when taking decisions.
2. Now he experienced Milan, Milan Lab and their management, and was very impressed.
3. Even with Milan's reaction infront of a such difficult person, when dealing Oliveira, the man praised Braida a lot.

WOW, i am very impressed with him. His pace is simply out of this world, like martins but with superb control of the ball. He just lift his leg and brought the ball down in one fluid motion even when running at full speed. and more than once, he put the ball thru a defender or goalkeeper leg when shooting for goal. He is a player that would bring something different to our team. If martins is worth 10M then this guy is surely worth more than the 15M we paid.

I haven't seen this one yet, but did you see the links I posted a few pages back of Oliveira? One has a bunch of his goals, but it's the short clip that's really impressive as he works his way through the Barcelona defense in Maradonaesque style for a goal.

the thing is that he was present together with galiani, but interesting or odd is that we scored 5 goals and won 2 games which ment a trophy for us, and Oliveira didnt show not single emotion, at all ,he wasnt moving at all, like he came to watch some kids playing a not his team,In several occasion the camera cought him doing smth with his mobile while Galiani was jumping all over the place from happines. I dont say its wrong but if shevchenko kissed the Chelsea jersey to impress the fans in the first game at least he could have smiled for instance.

I know what you mean but I think galliani wasn't any dif either. Unlike other times, he looked pretty composed himself and the only time I saw him jump from his place was when the blew the final whistle of the game vs Juve ... initially I thought he was celebrating the 3rd goal vs Juve, but then I realised that the game had simply ended and he was getting ready to leave his seat.

Anyways, emotion or not, at least he aint a faker - if you don't fake it right in front of your new boss, then when?

I know what you mean but I think galliani wasn't any dif either. Unlike other times, he looked pretty composed himself and the only time I saw him jump from his place was when the blew the final whistle of the game vs Juve ... initially I thought he was celebrating the 3rd goal vs Juve, but then I realised that the game had simply ended and he was getting ready to leave his seat.

Anyways, emotion or not, at least he aint a faker - if you don't fake it right in front of your new boss, then when?

yes you`re right,I never saw it in that way.

thanks for the video daniel

kastriot I think maybe he was just a little nervous, I mean he was sitting next to Galli (that would make me nervous). I agree with zlat if he was celebrating I think it would be a little fake.

Now that makes me sicks :angf:
Who we got at the end.................Mr.Ricardo Olivera :v46: .......thats total rubbish :pom:
I can't believe we didn't try 2 sign Kyut, Tevez, Ronaldo, Milan Baros, Crespo, Makaay etc only for this brazilian :1ang: . That really makes me furious.
Come on we are AC MILAN :p283: , we need class players not RICARDO OLIVERA. I hope we get rid of him in next January and bring some big name-beautiful class player :angf: :wallbang:

ROFL.
Kuyt?Ronaldo?Milan Baros?Makaay?

You really are a succes supporter aren't you?
Only big names can be good players?
Do you think Sheva was a big name when he came to Milan?

Be serious please.

Let's give Oliveira a chance to prove himself first , before throwing any insults at him.

And since when does a player have to be Mister World to be able to play for us?

I agree, Oliviera has been written off here before he's even played a game for the club  I've seen plenty of Spanish football and Oliviera is a decent player, hopefully he will seize this chance to move to one of the elite clubs by raising his game to a new level.

I'd rather see Milan sign a talented, young and hungry player than spend far more on a guy who has nothing left to prove like Ronaldo, or waste money on Milan Baros (mzk for someone who hates the Prem how can you possibly rate Baros! ) Crespo and Makaay are past their best now too.

Aren't they the players you want to sit at home and enjoy late hours at night watching them playing for ur favorite team AC Milan in Champions League???? :510: I prefare these class acts in RED & BLACK than players like Olivera :5hoest: any time

You really are a succes supporter aren't you?

Yes................I want AC Milan to win every time becoz I like them :p283: :5att:

Only big names can be good players?

ofcourse.............Deigo Maradona, the greatest player ever, was the best even at the age of 16 :p283:

mzk57, if you sign a player in the summer you can't get rid of them in January. It's against transfer rules & regulations. You have to wait until the summer afterwards.

*I am not talking abt Milan baros of Aston Villa, I am talking abt the Milan Baros who plays along side great players like Pavel Nedved and Thomas Rosicky in the Czech RP team. Plus his name is also MILAN :bri:
*Crespo and Makaay are old not dead. They are still 20 goals/season striker for atleaset 3 more years :5ok:
*Ronaldo need a fresh start and Milan is the ideals stage for him, bcoz its not a team of teenagers, its the team gentlemen ;)
*If u doubt abt Ronaldo's finsihing abilities than u actually dislike him as a person and we can't discuss ur personal view on a player here :bri:
*What level u are talking abt???? Olivera is simply not good ebough :v46:

Vieri was disppointing for us (did play okay sometimes, mainly with good passes), did poorly for Monaco, left Sampdoria a month after signing and is now back at Atalanta! I wanted him to do well for Milan, but it wasn't to be.

Not sure what went on but it certainly can't hurt, at least puts us in very good relations for further transactions

*I am not talking abt Milan baros of Aston Villa, I am talking abt the Milan Baros who plays along side great players like Pavel Nedved and Thomas Rosicky in the Czech RP team. Plus his name is also MILAN

Are they not the same guy? are they twins, with the Czech national side keeping theirs locked in a basement so he doesnt get injured, while his less talented twin lives the good life in England on 50k a week? :dielaugh:

Seriously, if you base your opinions on purely international football then you'll find strange anomolies, Baros being good is one, Crouch being a supreme goal machine (8 caps in 12 goals remember) being another ;)

EDIT: Crouch has 10 in 13 now and surely Milan must consider him too :dielaugh:

*Crespo and Makaay are old not dead. They are still 20 goals/season striker for atleaset 3 more years

Maybe they can get that many if they are very lucky with form and injuries, but they are both on the decline and i certainly wouldnt want Milan building the side around them, a top side can maybe carry one aging striker, Pippo is ours and i wouldnt want to see anymore added.

*Ronaldo need a fresh start and Milan is the ideals stage for him, bcoz its not a team of teenagers, its the team gentlemen

If he cant get motivated for a world cup campaign representing his own country then i doubt he can to play for Milan. Maybe Capello will be able to get him fit and keep him clear of injuries but im far happier with that being Reals problem than i would be if he came here with a £20m price on his head.

*If u doubt abt Ronaldo's finsihing abilities than u actually dislike him as a person and we can't discuss ur personal view on a player here

I dont doubt his finishing abilities, i doubt his fitness, it has nothing to do with personal dislikes (i leave the irrational hatred to you ;) ) and everything to do with watching him play for the last decade. I remember the Ronaldo of PSV and Barca and i remember his knee troubles and weight problems. These have hurt the latter stages of his career immensely but his price tag would still be high and i dont see it as a gamble worth taking.

*What level u are talking abt???? Olivera is simply not good ebough

How do you know that until he is given the chance to prove himself  He has scored goals at a decent rate for every club he has played for and i dont see why he cant do that for Milan too?

well... to start off... Baggio was way better lookin' than Zidane... i know i sound like mzk57 here... lolz... second... i'm not a supporter of French football... even tho i do admit Zidane is top-class... lastly... all my fave players are not hot-headed primadonas... they have class... =)

I think that RO will do very very well with us this coming season, barring of course any serious injuries. With him, Kaka, Gila and/or Inzaghi up there, there are some who might not appreciate the potential and lethal firepower here.

AC Milan's Oliveira warns Inter: I fear nothing
tribalfooball.com - September 03, 2006

Ricardo Oliveira says he has no fear about his move to AC Milan - and issued a warning to city rivals Inter.

The Brazilian striker declared: "I do not fear anything. I do not fear a shirt No: at Sao Paulo and Betis I had the 12, I was free here also to take the same with Milan, nevertheless I have taken the 7.

"I do not have fear of controversies: the tifosi may have waited for a bigger name, but it's no pressure on me.

"Pressure and expectation is everywhere: between Inter and Milan there is rivalry like between Barcelona and Real.

"Sure Inter have bought alot and are stronger, but Milan is a strong team and can match Inter."

Oliveira added: "It's good people haven't heard of me, they will soon see what sort of player I am. It's an advantage for me in games.

"Kaka told me there is nowhere else like Milan, from my short time here I can see he is right."

Kaka's statement says it all for me. Any doubt surrounding can be dismissed, as not only did he help a fellow Brazilian come, he stated Milan to be quite special.

Oliveira has made bold statements, I truly hope he now does what he was bought for.
