Facchetti dead

[Franco6]

I know he was an Inter legend and President, but I never hated this guy and I think that he merits a thread in here. I don't remember him as a player but he was world class and always clean in this tackles. Like Maldini he was one of the best left backs the Italians ever had.
As a President he didn't made prisco like comments and respected everyone.
RIP

Helenio Herrera, widely perceived as the innovator of catenaccio, always underlined the importance of Herrera in his team

Without the foraging full-back nothing would function.

RIP good man.

RIP and condolences to his loved ones

Can't believe it :(

Karim, sorry about this big loss for Inter fans, and football fans in general...

despite the rivalry, there is nothing bad to say about Facchetti, on the contrary, as Franco posted above, a great player first, and great football executive until the last day...

first image that comes to my mind, is the comment in the Maldini DVD from 2 years, when he was asked, in his opinnion, what was the defect he found in Maldini...
the two of them being the greatest left backs in Italian history, he said that probably the only thing was that as a kid, Maldini chose to play for Milan instead of Inter...

[Reza]

RIP
Classy and important player for Inter and the NT. Read a long article about him many years ago, I will try to find it.

he was the captain of Italy during the 1970 WC... they lost the final to Pele's Brazil...
