It's Sampdoria - Milan and we lost last year 2-1, I expect the same result or let's be bold, a glorious 0-0 this year as we will rest our best players for the CL match just 3 days later.

hey guys........iam sorry for asking this...i kind of feel stupid..but wat does number 17 reprsent?
The 17 Scudetto (Serie A) titles we have won.
Scoring is a must. I hope oliveira and pippo will really start. There's no more "we didnt have time to get our play together" excuse anymore. I expect pippo and oliveira both to score!
Pirlo is not playing so i guess we'll see Gattuso and Ambro in midfield again which is not so creative and we'll struggle to get a goal again, but i hope they prove me wrong
i think the lineup will be:
Dida
Cafu - Nesta - Kaladze - Jankulovski
Gattuso - Ambrosini - Kaka - Seedorf
Oliveira - Pippo
i think this it will be the team
Dida
Cafu Nesta Kaladze Janku
Gattuso Brocchi Seedorf
Kaka
Gila Inzaghi

I only want to say one thing ahead of this match, especially after reading this forum lately. We haven't been scoring, we haven't been winning, but I believe in this team, I believe in every single player, every single coach, every single member of our management. Finally, I believe in us, the fans, to support the team and move forward.
This season isn't over, it's just begun, and we should continue our fight until the end, success comes from effort and suffering, so we must be willing to go through hell to succeed, so let's do it! We're not alone, we're Milan, a family of thousands throughout the globe and I will do whatever I have to to support my family, I hope you will follow me as we move forward and suffer, to eventual success.
FORZA MILAN!!!!

first of all thank you for informing me about number 17....second of all i agree wit u word for word....the season has jus begun and we must bieleve in our team the coaches and ourseleves cuz i know we will score we had the most goals in the serie A last year and who cares if sheva left we got people who are more then ready to replace him and iam sure they will not let us down FORZA MILANO!!
I hope Brocchi will play in Pirlo's role becouse if we play Ambro-Gattuso we will not win this one. Sampdoria is a good team and it will be extremly hard today. We need to play both Cafu and Marek on flanks so we can dominate in posession, that is the right way to win this one.

so milan is playing with
dida,cafu,janku,nesta,maldini,broghi,gattuso,kaka,seedorf,Gila,Pipo!
If you type "ac milan" into yahoo, milanmania is second in the result pages :D
The official site is first.
Inzaghi Inzaghi gets into the area but his shot from a tight angle is straight at the keeper.
Alberto Gilardino Gilardino can't reach a loose ball in the area.
Dida gathers easily from Zenoni's effort and then takes a Peri cross.
Inzaghi races into the area but Zenoni gets back to make a challenge.
Kaka goes close with a dangerous cross, but it's back out with Seedorf on the left after Inzaghi can't connect, he goes to Kaka again AND A GREAT CROSS INTO GILARDINO WITH THE HEADER BUT IT FLASHES WIDE OF INZAGHI AT THE FAR POST!!
A mistake in the sampdoria defence gives Inzaghi a one on one, but the keeper saves :stress:
Samp's front two (Bonazzoli and Quagliarella) look lively.
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 11:27
Quagliarella is playing very good!
Milan stars playing good and more attacking....
just over 25 mins gone and we've played over 100 passes compared to Samp's 30 odd.
Inzaghi flagged offside ....
Meanwhile in the Belgium league, Frutos has scored twice in the first 30 mins for Anderlecht.
We'll have to watch him closely next week in the CL.
Dida saves from Bonazzoli, a comfortable take after some good positioning.
where are you watching the game Jim? how is Seedorf doing? Are we playing too slow again?
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 11:38
samptoria the chance............and dida save the heading!
Milan is playing far better then samptoria but without any good chanses just ball-possition.
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 11:41
**** so,so,so,so close a nice shoot from kaka!!!!
argh.. Inzaghi should have shot instead of looking for a penalty.
im seeing the game now. It was a clear penačty for us!!!! What the hell are the refs doing this season??
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 11:46
argh.. Inzaghi should have shot instead of looking for a penalty.
He should had made it goal and not diving!!! :dumpf:
it's a clear penalty~~~ really don't know how the referee can miss it.
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 11:52
**** samptoria had a good chance to open the score with a near heding!!!!!
COME ON WAKE UP AND MAKE CHANCHES NOT BALL-POSITIONING!
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 11:53
Half Time!0-0
we are again way to slow in attacking. No vertical passes, no fast transitions, actually im not sure what is the game plan today. Cafu is not going up so much, marek also. Gattuso and Brocchi are defensive as its their stile and Kaka, Seedorf, Pippo and Gila are the only players we are attacking with. And that is after we make 5-10 slow passes that let Samp to stay tight in defence.
kastriot
14-10-2006, 11:53
The ref didnt give us a penalty, a clear one,IMO the goalkeeper should have got a red card,And the ref didnt even bother. Dejavu.
We are playing very fast actually. i think we will win this one.
0-0 half time
seems a very open game, we've had some chances but it still just won't go in.
according to Eurosport stats, we've had about 200 short passes, but lost the ball 50 times!
A bit more focus and maybe some good fortune can see us gain 3 points here.
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 11:55
if the game will be on 60' still 0-0 gourgouf and oliveira must come in!
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 11:59
why doesnt pirlo play?
He is injured?
Something along those lines.. Gourcuff is also not in the squad.
the only attacking players we have on the bench are Oliveira and Boriello, the rest are defenders
Graeme C
14-10-2006, 12:14
this is going to be another 0-0 i bet....
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 12:15
the second started about 7 minutes ago!
Inzaghi heads straight at the keeper from a Kaka cross
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 12:19
a good chance from milan kaka cross great and find inzaghi who from the penalty area sends the ball direct to the keeper!
**** we are loosing again and agin chanses!
I dont want it but i think the game will be 0-0!I wish to be wron on the end of the game !
Oli in for Gila, hopefully him or Pippo will turn up something
the way we play is humiliating. im really sorry I watch Milan play this way.

14-10-2006, 12:29
1-0 we loose.
what are you saying i see the match direct and the game is still 0-0!Where di you see that?????
Graeme C
14-10-2006, 12:30
im giving up watching the game, were not going to come back from that, not with the current squad... some people were so naive about the transfers in the summer...
Arildonardo
14-10-2006, 12:31
1-0 Bonazzoli...
We're struggling. That was really bad defending from Nesta/Maldini in the box, you can't let Bonazzoli be alone like that.
The Greek sportcaster wonders why Achelotti makes rotation so early in the season leaving Pirlo out. He believes that we cannot be competent by so much rotation.
The match is live, the 1-0 is just a prediction as Samp just scored
Still plenty of time for us to draw, and pray, win.
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 12:32

**** maldini sucks!
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:33
Ah well...a goal down, but there is still time...tell me though, what was Maldini thinking?
Rosoneri unfortunately i got right!.
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:34
So sorry Gourcuff is out...we need him, especially when we dont have Pirlo.
EXCELLENT HEADER BY PIPPOO! Almost scores...great save!
Maldini is 37 years old, he is not a magician. and we are the only one in the europe that go to play hard away games with no tactics prepared. And no sprints made by our players.
Good heading from Inzaghi corner. Kaladge in i thing for Jankulovski.
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 12:36
it was stupid from ancelotti to start maldini and not Kaladze!
Nesta and Kaladze playes good together!
Maldini must retire he is bad for milan!
King tiger
14-10-2006, 12:36
**** maldini sucks!
you shouldnt said that,
kaladze in for Jankulovski, why not play marek in the LW and out with Gattuso or Brocchi???!!! what is this, some kind of a joke?

Rosoneri unfortunately i got right!.

whoopy another defensive player on for jankulovski... think Carlo is getting stupidier per game....
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:38
This is amazing. Carlo´s subing in defenders when we are losing...classic...
Graeme C
14-10-2006, 12:39
Bonera on for Cafu
Now that is a joke!
hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! what is this! fire him before the game ends! this is comedy managing...!
Bonera in , we should respect Maldini but he may start considering retirement, it is best for him most of all.
Maldini must retire he is bad for milan!
come on.... :v46:
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:41
Final passes in the attacking third, are what we are missing, while in the first half, it was composure in the box...I dunno...the more I see, the more I despair...
We just cant seem to score...we should be winning this match 3-1 by now
rosoneri_11
14-10-2006, 12:41
you shouldnt said that,
why i shouldn't tell that?I said the truth?
Maldini must retire and he playes very bad!
he was the best defender of the world in the past.
But know he is not needed to Milan.
Graeme C
14-10-2006, 12:41
its a joke billy is still in the side... taking up places that could be used for decent players....
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:42
Goal!!!!! Kaladze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
to play nice passing game and make dangerous crosses and passes you need to move right. Run, jump, sprint and so on....and we cant do that.
King tiger
14-10-2006, 12:43

Maybe u should blame ancelotti who plays Maldini instead of Kala.
Maldini has done enourmus things for milan in the past he deserved enourmus trust, you shouldn critisize our capitan like that.
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:43

14-10-2006, 12:43
Yes!!! 1-1 Kaladze!!!
1-1!!!!!!!!!!!! Kaladze!!!
now we see that Sheva's departure hurts us a lot
King tiger
14-10-2006, 12:45
Ancelotti is the best manager ever :D he makes confusing soubs so samp got confused and thought he is crazy but he tricked them :D
Warro, all of our bench was defenders apart from Boriello and Oliveira ... who else can he bring in? :googly:
its not about striker, midfield cant compete with the best anymore. Fullbacks are too slow, and coach is.....you know it.
hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! what is this! fire him before the game ends! this is comedy managing...!
You are right. We should respect Maldini but he may start thinking retirement.
We scored after 354 minutes! , Four minutes of extra time.
he is the luckiest manager
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:47
Good turn in the middle byu Kaka...Seedorf to Olivera...nice cross no one to meet it...its the same for me not enough aggression in the attsacking third..
Wonderful ... another defender scores. Last time a forward scored for us in a Serie A match was the very first one! Hope this changes soon.
why the hell is everyone having a go at Ancelotti?
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:48
We could still win this though...COME ON MILAN!!!! Lets convert from this set piece!!!
King tiger
14-10-2006, 12:49
Whats happening?
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:49
Penalty!!!!!
the thing that really goes on my nerves is that after all that rotation Cafu still cant play 90 minutes full tempo, and we dont buy new attacking fullback. While Kaka' plays every single moment becouse Carlo knows he can do it himself. Well, not always mr. Ancelotti!! Where is the rotation on Kaka'??? when he gets injured we will be gone. this is not right, do it right or dont do it!
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:49
CRAP...sorry...offside, or was it a penalty?

Didn't you read what i rote!
"Maldini was the best defender on the world"
But know he is not needed to milan!
He doesn't deserve to start the game!
Maldini and ancelotti are fault!
King tiger
14-10-2006, 12:50
fow who? ???
I am reffering to coaching not to sucking but we need refreshment, Sheva told in the press two weeks ago that he will never come back in Milan?. In the goal Kaladge used his arm, but the previous effort was penalty.
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:52
Good foul by Bonera on a possible breakaway by Samp...we definately are not having luck...cant fault Carlo...even though his subs surprised me...:dontkn:
We look set for another tie....wow...a glance at the table makes me glad some teams are on negative points still...:(
its not about the draw, im now just waiting for thius: " we did good, we are relaxed." " it was a penalty on inzaghi..bla,bla...." the tzruth is that we played like crap and we had no idea or tactical plan fot this game. No changing places, no vertical runs, no nothing.
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 12:54
All in all, a creditable performance...we were denied a clear penalty (or two?), and only Maldini´s mistake marred our overall defensive performance...very solid, but a depressing single point from a game that we should have won.
The Ref was abysmal, but not in the general flow of play, but in terms of the calls in the box that he did, or didnt make...
Carlo needed to change Gila long before he did, and needs to realise that that partnership isnt working.
All I can say is...its going to be a loooooooooong season.
Sheva told in the press two weeks ago that he will never come back in Milan?.
Win against Andelect in CL. See you.
Man, another draw for Milan, title race could be over even before the derby, but that's a long shot as we all know Inter and Roma, both get some bad hiccups, well at least Inter :D
we didn't play well. But I still can't accept we have had the 4th consecutive draw because of damn referees x(.
Warro Bantan
14-10-2006, 13:00

:rr30:
Though I am as disappointed as you are my amigo, I disagree with u there..we did play well, in large portions of the game...Carlo´s decision to start Maldini over Kala was for me the error in this game...
We were simply too static in the Samp box..wanting the ball to come to us, rather than going for it, and at other times, we were too elaborate...playing centrally, with two or more players open on the flank...
We didnt play like crap, we did have a tactical plan, we did change places, with Kaka running his heart out, as well as Brocci and Rino, a combo I wouldnt mind seeing more often in the middle. I will go as far as to say we dominated the home team, not easy to do as a visitor.
Vertical running? We got a large portion of the direct balls into the box in the first half, but didnt DO anything with them...
That for me isnt playing badly...that for me is lacking something, or someone, willing to take the responsibility of going to the ball, and shooting or passing with more decisiveness.
Hasan Rossonero

We were denied a penalty but we scored after a blatant handball.
Our problem is simple. Our strikers are not scoring. Sure Inzaghi was in good positions and had great shots but he did not score.
If our strikers don't click soon we are going to be in serious trouble.
I agree; our strikers have to score.

14-10-2006, 13:18
hey guys the game just ended bit dissapointing but just happy atleast we tied it by looks of things..and once again the blind refs cheated us again inzaghi beat the keeper and defenders and the keeper kocked him down and no penalty given i do not like the refs at all..its like they pick on milan but lets here yout thoughts

Gila made another embarasment game!
Our midfield needs some depth.. just Gourcuff is definitely not enough. We also need another support striker because Inzaghi - Gila just is not working.

Gila was again pathetic and I really cant see how much time are you willing to give him to finally bond in the team? Seedorf was very bad today. I cannot believe he is a professional player who has been playing football since I dont know when, and he couldn't even cross a fking corner right. What a disgrace! I promise you I could have done better than Seedorf in crossing those corners.
We deserved a draw this game. We played so bad its unbelievable really. Kaka was invisible, Gila no comment, Seedorf bad game, Brocchi simply not good enough, and Cafu's crosses were not up to standard. Pippo played really well, was always moving all over the pitch getting the ball and getting in position. But the only good note from today was Nesta's performance. Its been a while since ive seen him perform so well. What a game by him today. He underlined to the world that he is still the best defender in the world.
I have no idea what to expect from this Milan side who have not beaten teams like Livorno, Lille, Sampdoria and whoever that sh*t team we played last time. I dont know what Milan are really aiming for this year, because they absolutely have no desire to win. January transfer window will be our turning point of the season, all we can do now is just hope we can get a few good results and qualify for next round of CL. Milan must roar back in the transfer market and spend REALLY big because we have got no world-class strikers. We also need a player to sub Seedorf.
Graeme C
14-10-2006, 13:53
i completely agree with hitmannq8, the side is so static...
The main problem with Gila is that he isnt being played in the right position, he is being forced to play as another midfielder (second striker) to provide for inzaghi...
This is why i got so angry in the summer and many people here said "we have nothing to worry about we have a uber squad", and critised me for creating the "transfer disaster" thread ... Oliviera by far is biggest flop, really we could have done with keeping Vogels, he played pretty well last year filling in for Pirlo.. we got no new attacking options other than Gourcuff, and yet again our play is put on kaka.. more rubbish signings like Favalli... No attacking fullback cover for Cafu... joke!
Ancelloti in a way is stuck because he hasnt got different options to change the fate of a game... He should know this, but it would be more worrying if he is happy with the current squad and cant see any problems.
We havent been playing well since we lost the -points, at this rate we will struggle for a top 6 place, let alone top 4.. i cant see us competing with Chelsea and Barca in the champ league... they have lot more squad depth than us.... my 2 cents/

It was always going to be difficult playing in Samp but our stikers have to realize the current position of our team. Now there is no room for anti-torres members! We cannot simply depend on Oliviera or Gila.

He would have solved alot of problems that we now have! i just cannot see why Milan wanted to buy Oliviera... if we had suazo i dont think we would have the problems we are now facing... he is already a proven goal scored in Italy! Oliveira isnt!

Still waiting for a response from those anti-torres-pro-oliviera/anti-"big name" members!
We bought Oliveira to get at Ronaldinho, that's all.

14-10-2006, 14:08
At this rate with that stoner gilardino and our grandpa defense we wont even make it for next years champions league, i just sure hope milan uses some of there money and buys ronaldinho and good defenders and strikers.. they need a completely new formation and the players they have wotn get them anywhere apart from kaka, gattuso, kaladze and gourcuff.. Oliveira was also a complete waste :5dito: another thing most people critisise ronaldo because of his last few years of terrible form but if milan were to buy him id be content with it, i mean milan can just whip him back into shape .. i mean the main reason he stinks is cus of his weight cus he still scores for madrid and milan were nearly about to buy him to,.

We havent been playing well since we lost the -points, at this rate we will struggle for a top 6 place, let alone top 4.. i cant see us competing with Chelsea and Barca in the champ league... they have lot more squad depth than us.... my 2 cents/
I cmpletely agree however we have large amounts of cash from former champions leagues etc and i think were going to have a succesful jan transfer market since berlusconi wants ronaldinho desperately.. plus u can tell berlusconi was paying close attention to there last tie to see what was missing so lets hope he makes the right descisions

We also need a player to sub Seedorf.
i wouldnt critize kaka,.. if u were the only one out of 1 or 2 other players who were actually moving ud perform the same.. and besides he was the only one sending quality crosses in..

We bought Oliveira to get at Ronaldinho, that's all.
i agree, i just cant believe how delusioned Belusconi is, Ronaldinho is a dream... I just cant believe he will sacifice this year and next years trophies in order to get Ronaldinho in 2008... that just seems to stupid to be real!

we need world class left and right back!
we need one world class striker
one world class center back
one world class goalkeeper
and one world class midfielder to stop all that bad results and to never talk about our grandy-players!
Its simple guys if you spend big money you will had a great team(barca, chelsea). If you don't you allways should be dreaming to have a great team!

we are the only one from the world class teams that we had for so many years the same player to the same team! And the most of them are in the first 11 for any game!
You really can't blame Ancelotti for this. He did the best with the players at his disposal.

Saw the game. Here are my thoughts:
1) We were WAY too slow, way too static. I thought Seedorf had a good game. His passing range is fantastic and he created quite a few chances for our strikers with his long balls. However, he lacks speed. Ancelotti played a straight 4-4-2 with Brocchi and Gattuso in the middle and Kaka and Seedorf on the right and left flanks respectively. Cafu and Janku were the fullbacks. On the right hand, Cafu clearly does not have the SPEED to make high impact runs. The only person with genuine pace on the right was Kaka and with Cafu operating at half his speed, could only do so much. Our problems were even more on the left flank. Janku IMO was subpar. Did not make significant runs and more importantly did not try and take people on. He kept making the simple pass to Seedorf who would then lose it. Why have an attacking left back if he isnt willing to take people on and make crosses? On top of that, we had Seedorf on the left, who clearly lacked speed. OUr entire attacks would slow down once he had the ball. Guys, just imagine if we had two pacey wingers on each flank (i.e. Robben, C. Ronaldo, Robinho) with two genuine attacking wing backs---we'd be winning games like these easily.
2) We are clearly missing $hevchenko. HOw many times has he single-handedly rescued us from situations like these? It's not the amount of goals he scored, it is the importance of his goals---$heva has always scored important, match winning goals. He wanted to leave, so we let him go---good riddance. The problem though is that we never replaced him. It is unrealistic to expect Oliveira, who has never played in serie a and just recovered from serious knee injury to come right in and start scoring goals. We needed to replace $heva with an equally high caliber, proven striker---Toni, Ibrahimovic, Trezeguet-----plenty to choose from, but we never made a serious effort. And now, we are paying the price, and it looks like a heavy price---3 points out of a possible 9 while starting the season with an 8 point deficit.
Another problem---our strikers are NOT scoring goals. Last three games---two goals scored--both by left backs Janku and Kaladze. It doesnt look like goals will be coming from midfield either. Our setpieces thus far have been quite woeful.
Just thinking of this makes me angry. We lose our top striker over the summer and CHOOSE to not adequately replace him. What were we expecting? Take $heva out of last year's team and we wouldnt have even made it out of the CL Group stages. If we lost Inzaghi or Gila, then sure, gamble of Oliveira, but jeeez not when you lose a guy like $hevchenko, and certainly not when we have a point deficit to overcome.

We don't neccessarily need new players. Our attitude needs to change. We are far too casual against our opposition.
Now come on Milan!!!! Get your act together! No excuses!
Seedorf is very disappointing to say the least; I don't blame Gila and Inzaghi. They don't even have the chance to score, let alone scoring it. How many times have the ball reached Inzaghi and Gilardino in the first place? And when Inzaghi has the chance, he missed it.
When the team concede a goal, everyone needs to take responsbility; when the team doens' score, everyone also needs to take responsbility. Look at how slow Seedorf is, look at the lack of pace in our attack.
You really can't blame Ancelotti for this. He did the best with the players at his disposal.
Defifinitely no when his sub. actually scored a goal and Janku started to make silly mistakes. The attack on the left flank was a lot more threatening with Kahka coming in.

Gilardino dropped from national side & Italy won both games by 2 goals each... Gilardino hangin' around in Milan & we have to content with four draws in a row... nothin' else to add... everythin' has been said & repeated too many times...

humanTORCH, he is not pathetic because he is not scoring, but he is PATHETIC because he does not even play a good game. He is never in position and never causing any danger AT ALL. Always sticks to the defender and goes for the dive. The only godo game he had this season was the Ascoli game. He came back alot and really impressed me but that was only 1 of a handful of games that he played well in ALL his time at Milan.

Milan need sheva ... we need sheva back ... or get some strong and super striker ... cause i dont think oliviera is going to do justice ... he's good dont get me wrong but ... we need someone whom is great and got class
Graeme C
15-10-2006, 06:35
yet again i feel i have to say last season Gila had alot more chances, playing with Sheva took the preasure off him... Defenders were more worried about marking sheva than him.... and Sheva set up most of his goals... thus getting more chances... i watched (tried to on the stream) the game yesterday, i wouldnt say Gila was not in the wrong places, it was like he was in the right places and inzaghi pushed infront of him to get the ball... Now he is expected to do all the things that sheva did, which is completely wrong... Oliveira was supposed to be a direct replacement, not another squad player.. this is whats gone wrong... Gila was dropped because of this which isnt entirely his fault, hes not a george weah, he cant run the whole width of the field with the ball.. and thats the kinda striker we need!
One other thing is that this season the side is so predictable, if kaka is man marked we yet again cant create anything.. Cafu doesnt run as much as he useto, Bonera is really a Center back and is being forced to play RB.. Jankulovski hasnt really impressed me that much (another injured player we bought), neither has Cafu this season... we really could have done with zambrotta and Oddo...
really simple, fullbacks are too slow and Cafu plays alibi football. Seedorf is too slow, we cant play with 2 same forwards. 4 things are wrong, and the 5th is Carlo Ancelotti. When yoiu loose a player like Sheva you cant expect that Oliveira who never played in serie a and was injured for a year to replace him. So with slow transition and kaka' man marked, and when we cant play on the flanks as our fullbacks cant win in 1 on 1's, we are dead slow. And since when the best solution against teams that are defending is to play down the middle????? Seedorf---> Gourcuff, change Cafu for Oddo and Give Jankulovski more time, and you'll already see the difference in the game. For a possesion football you need to RUN, to make space for through balls you need to - RUN. To create extra man on the wide areas you need to - RUN. Without running we cant play football.
This year we have to admit that we're not going to do anything. Our transfer market was a disaster and to add to this Ancelotti should have in June 2005. IMO if we haven't conceeded that goal we wouldn't have scored. It's true we had a cristal clear penalty but I'm fed up to search for excuses. Gilardino & Inzaghi are too similar to be 2 starters, at least when Oliveira went in our attack was a bit more lively.
This isn't an excuse and i'm sure most of you have thought of this, but it's just something to think about. Had we not had our 8 point penalty we'd be joint top of the league right now. We strive for perfection and as arrogant fans we demand it as often as possible, but would some of you really be as damming as you are now if we were at the top?
Calm down fans, Scudetto is ours. Don't panic just now. :3band:
Well for get that Ukrainian we need Jon Dahl Tomasson back. U guys remember he played extremely well with Pippo Inzaghi and Kaka. He could make the difference. :devs:
humanTORCH says Gila is pathetic, but actually its Ricardo Olivera who is the the real pathetic one :d33:
I thought you'd be attacking the team mzk57, you always attack other teams when they don't win. Yet here Milan don't win against 3 lowly second rate teams and you don't say a word, how surprising :rollani:
I don't think Ron Dull Vomitson would help us out much right now.

i know what you mean, but its the fact that against the last 3 small teams we have not had the players who want to kill the game off... without sheva we have lost our killer assassin who scored goals that can won us games.. we havent played palermo, Inter or Roma yet, and im really worried!

back to it,
I am shocked that how Gila didnt score 2 goals in this march. Anyway let me remind u guys that
Gila would score 2 goals in his next Champions League match
U guys can bet ur pocket money on it, believe u will win :bri:

Man u lie alot.:dumpf:
When did I disrespected u???:bri:
I always say what I feel ;)
if we didnt have the -8 punishment, we would be at top, yes. but we dont play well, its obvious, and we cant be pleased with that. Any real fan cant be pleased with the way Milan is playing. We will still support out team of course, but this doesnt look good.
do you think i'm not a real fan mrki or are you talking generally about 'real' milan fans?
I'm not happy with how we've played lately, but the lack of speed and over reliance on 1 or 2 players is nothing new. I've noticed this for quite a few seasons, yet because we've been winning it's been glossed over almost. However, i won't bash players just because we've dropped points and i think a better time to judge everything is at the half way stage (i.e. January).
Man u lie alot.
When did I disrespected u???
I lie? Don't you dare call me a liar. You come here and can't even string a sentence together let alone sustain an argument. All you do is talk about Lampard and Chelsea, check your own posts and you'll see for yourself.
You call teams, players and coaches all sorts of disrespectful names yet when someone does it to a player you like you can't take it. If you don't like it then i suggest you stop doing it to others!
I have just looked the highlights from the match.i have a question-
where was maldini and nesta when bonazoli scored???
it seems he was alone in the box!!!dont you think!
this is not a new thing, but we need a brand new defenders for all places-CBs,RB,LB...
just dont know how we can pass the 1/8finals in the CL,and how we can be more than second or 3rd in SeriaA

Jim and mzk, please calm down. I don't think I need to say any more, I'm sure you both know where this will lead to if things continue.
I wasn't planning to comment on this match, but might as well now that I'm posting. Basically, we weren't great, but we could have done worse. Clear fatigue and lack of pace was shown in the side.
Essentially, I felt Jankulovski had a terrible game, and was one key player we really needed to perform down the left. Also, on the goal Samp scored, I've noticed Maldini getting some blame, but imho I think he did the right thing, which was to instruct Marek to mark Bonazzoli (look at Maldini's hand gesture before the cross was made) and Maldini went to take up the near post, as Nesta was drawn out to the right. Had Maldini not done what he did and picked up the striker, the near post would be left completely expose, which is defensively a terrible mistake to make.
Seedorf was another player to disappoint. He needs to press forward more, as right now he seems content staying too deep. I noticed he was trying to aid Rino and Brocchi with Pirlo's duties, but he cannot stay as deep, as Kaka's getting isolated otherwise.
Cafu was disappointing, as he didn't push forward enough and charge down the wing as we know he can. Very much a performance similar to his WC. The lack of width in this match made defending pretty simple for Sampdoria.
The Gila-Pippo pairing still isn't working imo. They both get into very similar positions and often get in each other's way. If this partnership is to succeed, they need to start working in tandem more, meaning they have to look to compliment each other's play (if Pippo is looking to run of the last man, Gila must be willing to drop deep and support the build up).
Finally, there was a real lack of movement when moving forward. Basically, the players were very static most of the time and again, Sampdoria will find this easy to deal with.
However, on the plus side, we finally scored! Now, as negative as I have sounded in the rest of this post, I'm actually VERY optimistic for Tuesday, as I feel that the goal will just provide a little spark the team needed to get back into life. As I said before the match, the season has just begun, let's not give in yet!
FORZA MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why noone is talking about our goal, what do you think was it a hand ball or not i personally think it was a clear hand but because we weren't given a penalty in the first half the referee had to repay us somehow, so he let the goal stand, one mistake on both sides
There is no point making ourselves feel better thinking that we would be joint top had we not had an eight point deduction. THe fact is we knew BEFORE the season began that we would be playing with a points deduction. We knew that we needed to win all of our games against smaller opposition, and most of the games against our direct rivals to overcome the deficit and make a serious push for the title. We knew even BEFORE the WC began that we would lose $heva for this season. And what do we do? We continue playing Cafu at right back, Seedorf in midfield, and play both Inzaghi and Gilardino up front. I'm sorry but if we couldnt win the Scudetto last year, how can we do it again with a points deduction and an inferior squad? The least we should have done was to seriously strengthen the squad---imagine Mascherano in midfield, Oddo or Cicinho at right back, Sneijder giving Seedorf competition in midfield, and a genuine pacy forward up front. I'm not saying to buy all of them, but a few genuine reinforcements would have strenghtened the team significantly and we wouldnt be having the problems we are currently having.

It was a handball, but considering the number of decisions against us lately (even in that match), it's about time something went our way

The ref will make certain "adjustments" to his calls during the course of the game, especially when he makes/doesnt make calls that impact the game´s outcome..so he didnt give us a blatant penalty, but in turn, gave us a "hand ball" goal.
IMO, he overcompensated, though there were shouts for a Samp penalty in the 1st half, when Maldini literally pulled down a player during a set piece.
Rt9..good points, nice dissection of the game, agree with most, if not all of ur points...
I do feel forced to add though, after all the negative posts re our performance, that I thought we played well, controlled the game, and just didnt put it together in the final third...whether from poor play in the box, or poor final passes into the box.
I look forward to a big improvement vs Anderlecht.
