Maybe, at least if we're to believe Berlu:

Sheva will only be able to come if:
1. Pazik leaves him
2. Abramobitch leaves ski
3. Sheva's IQ suddenly shoots up.
Its all gas. Berlu is a show-man and this is just to cover up the dismal results. He might be having plans to revive the team by buying some new players but this sheva return is too unrealistic. Sheva must have called Berlu only to tell him that he got a new child and nothing else.
BTW good to have you back devoted_dm.
yeah, he said he liked the fact that tha fans still chanting his name, but that's just it.
btw he scored a goal too this evening against Watford
oops, i nearly forgot, the goal indeed is a beautiful one.
when was the last time our strikers do that?
i hate to say it but i'm kinda missing him now :p155:

Oh come on Mr.Sheva you first said to us "Im leaving because i have family problems and it will be better for my life and family to go"!We didn't believe you but you use this as an excuse!
So you live at london for 3 months and it is said that you want to come back????Thats the most stupid thing i ever heared! For what reason you want to come back???You left us because of family problems, why you want to come back????You want to make your life more badly if you come back??
I dont find the reason for that!
Its better from you to tell to the world that you lied milan fans, and you use a stupid excuse to leave from us!
--------------------------------------------------------------------
No matter the goals you had scored for us,at the end everyone remembers the character of a person!
And everyone will remember what you did to milan!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
You better stay there. You choose it! :5milan:
I ´ll believe it when I see it (Sheva on San Siro 2007).
Has Sheva responded?
Not gonna happen. Don't care. Milan is bigger. Sheva is a class(less) act.

If we would have to pay the same amount as we sold him for, then I think there are better options... The guy is past 30 now, and not playing well...

I d love to have Sheva back. He left because his wife wanted to leave, but he doesnt really feel comfortable here in London. He got used to italian life, to Milan...but most importantly he enjoed playing for AC Milan and he was a hero here, while there that is not the case. He might consider coing back. And although its is unlikely that he ll come back...still, if he does...we need to welcome him. Yes all of us are still offended at him, some of us are just simply pissed of at him, but the guy did so much for Milan. Can't we forgive him? He ve chosen what he thought would be best for his family and he has a right for it. Same as he has a right to make a mistake, and deserves a chance to fix it if he wants to.

Actually I just thought of something...Galliani said about a surprise in January transfers...could it possibly be Sheva? Oh please, please, please GOD! I d love to have him back..him and Kaka together can do magic things in attack...
He has done a lot for Milan? Have you forgotten what Milan has done for him? We have given him something no other club in the world could have given him. We gave him love, respect, we made him one of our own. Hell, we have him his career as a superstar. And all of it was GENUINE. So if he turns this down for whatever reason, family or not, then that's it. There is no way I'd welcome this classless man (although great player) back at Milan. We are bigger than any one player, and certainly have more class than this player.
I don't want him back, he could stay, trader... We can find better opportunity then he is..
Sheva is a immediate solution for Milan (may be to get to the CL zone) but really there is no long term future with that. I don't want that.
Supprise coming out of the Galliani's mouth could be something like Vieri, Favalli, or may be Recoba,... wait and see first.

We are bigger than one player??? We have more class? What class do you see now? I see that kind of class that can take us to Seria B. And when Sheva was in Milan we were not in such a danger. Milan did not make him a superstar...Milan gave him a ground to become one. Because if you are nothing and have no skills - it doesnt really matter where you play - you not going to become a superstar. And he did do a lot for Milan. As for his decision to leave - family should be on the first plays - always. Are you married? Seems like you not. And I m married and know what i am talking about. Football career is good, but its not for the whole life - and family is. So his choice is an understandable one. I was very upset too, I am still upset that he gone, but I would never say anything like you have just said.
And whatever your attitude to him now, whatever anger and sadness and whatever you feel else - but you should realize that if he comes back - he ll take us out of that sh** situation where we are now. Please do have some respect for those who made us win so many games, who did magic things etc.
Please do have some respect for those who made us win so many games, who did magic things etc.
I have a lot of respect for Shevchenko as a player but he probably earned to lose most of my (and perhaps our) respect by leaving Milan when he knows that he is one of the most indispensible players. As if not bad enough, he declared (on the official website) that he wanted to be like Maldini, a Milan legend, just a few months before he left. The amount of respect I have for him is hereby lost, forever. I respect him to be a great player, for all the magic things that he has done for Milan, and I share with you that he'll probably save Milan for now, but I sneered, mocked, and contempted his so-called loyalty to Milan that so many people believe in him.
_____
now, can we put him out of our mind? The mods have been closing down ALL THE THREADS on shevchenko already, and it still keeps coming, like his son's name. Do we need to keep a personal diary about him?
Go http://www.shevchenko.com/ and have fun. Please save us mod for this endless discussion on him. To be hoenst, I think more than 50% of the members here is not interseted in what he is doing now.
Sheva can stay where he is. He is not needed here. He can keep on hugging the Chelsea fans after he score all his goals for all I care. After all that we "the fans" did for him and after we made him our god, he had the nerves to lie to us that he is going to end his career in Milan. Nobody asked him to say that. Nobody made him say that. Why did he?
I wish him well as I still think he is the best and most complete forward in the world, but he is not needed back here.
Forza Milan forever!

What you're saying is so ridiculous that it doesnt deserve a comment. But I just cant resist, so here goes:
1) How long have you been following AC Milan? We have been one of the greatest clubs in Europe for a long long time---well before Sheva joined us. The success that Sheva brought us---one UCL, one Scudetto is NOTHING and I say NOTHING compared to the success this club has acheived overall. It's not like we were Chievo before Sheva joined and now we have become Real Madrid. As for Sheva's contribution to the club, there is no doubt he has contributed significantly, but compared to contributions of Rivera, Gullit, Van Basten, Rijkaard, Baresi, Maldini, Costacurta, etc---his contribution is a speck of sand in the desert. So you have no clue what you are talking about. AC Milan is infinitely bigger than any single one player, no matter who that player is.
2) Yes, I am married and have a young daughter. I haved lived across three continents over the last 12 years, so I know a thing or two about moving for "family reasons" Dont compare a rich footballer's career and family with that of a normal person. How long is a footballer's career? Max 33, 34, 35? That's it. So if you wanted to learn English in London or your wife wanted to shop in London with Abramovich's wife---you cant wait a few years until you retire from football? It's not like he'll be playing at Milan til he's 45 you know. So, if our symbol, our so-called legend couldnt tell his wife/family to hold on for another two or three years, or rather, couldnt sacrifice a few years of his playing career for our club, then for me, he doesnt deserve to be here. He has no class.
3) I would rather us finish in midtable than to have that scumbag back and finish in the top five. HONEST. There has to be more to loving our club than just the results. He wanted to leave and forced his move. So be it. We are not a hotel that will welcome such players back just to finish higher in the league for one season. Remember, we are not Lazio, we are AC Milan. One season in the doldrums is meaningless in the grand scheme of things. So Sheva can stay put, learn English, and finish his career hugging the Chelsea fans. I for one dont want to see him taint our shirt by wearing it.

couldn't have said it better myself. :5ok:

We will finish about 4th this season, ridicolous to mention serie B.
And when Sheva was in Milan we were not in such a danger.
Eh? The same danger we ain't in now.

No shiit.

In a healthy family life the other parts should not be the one deciding a important decision like this. You want to control the life if your future husband?
Football career is good, but its not for the whole life - and family is.
I am pretty sure his family would not disspaear over him playing in Milan for 4 more years. The same football career that brought them together.
but you should realize that if he comes back - he ll take us out of that sh** situation where we are now. Please do have some respect for those who made us win so many games, who did magic things etc.
Maybe, maybe not. I don't see him lighting up the London sky though.
pride comes before a crash. Are we soo proud that we rather crash into serieB before we take our hero back. people make mistakes. forgiveness is divine.
IMO there are STILL only three strikers who can do it all"
sheva ronaldo and henry. If we're getting the chance to have one of these shouldn't we sieze the opportunity?
Sheva can't come on January because we have signed Oliveira already, a non-EU player. Sheva is non-EU.

You probably didnt read my post carefully. I did not say that Sheva was the greatest in the whole history of Milan. But he definately was one of the greatest players of Milan. I was talking about the years that he have spent in Milan. I support Milan for a bit more than 4 years...yes it is not that long. But consider that before I hated football, I didnt understand it. When I first watched Milan match (because i had to watch it...there was nothing else I could do in the Sports Bar with my husband and his friends) I fell in love with this team, I started loving football in general. And that happend because of amazing play by Sheva and Maldini. I really enjoyed watching the match for the first time in my life. I m very gratful to them for that. Consider that I was supposed to support Lazio, as my husband is a true Lazio fan.
Sheva played with his soul for Milan and whatever reason he had for leaving Milan...we might not know the whole situation...it was a strong reason.
2) Yes, I am married and have a young daughter. How can you say that normal people's life cannot be compared to footballer's life? Aren't footballers normal people? We are talking about a human situation here. He had chosen his family comfort sacrifising his career in his favorite football club. Would you choose a job instead of your wife and daufghter's comfort or happiness? I would not. I know that if I asked my husband to move to live to Russia, he would agree, although he doesnt speak a word of Russian. He d do it for me, if I really asked him. I left my country for him, and moved to London, although, believe me, I didnt want to do it at all. But its about doing something to save your family or to make it comfortable. I realized that I d feel more comfortable in the UK than my husband in Russia. And I made my decision, leaving everything behind: my faily, my friends, my job, my dog and a lot more - my native city and my country. Do you think that my family or my friends now hate me for that? No, it would be absolutely ridiculous. They understand my reasons. And Sheva's situation is nothing different from this one. So why do you hate him? Sheva is a human being, he has his priorities and weaknesses.

You can feel whatever you want, you can have your opinions...But I ll always be gratful to Sheva and I ll always respect him. He deserves that.
Sorry to pick on you Oksana, but i feel like i'm at nursery school reading your posts. Why the big font?
I do however agree that given our current league position, we should at least think about relegation. To not even consider it smacks of outrageous arrogance.

NO NO NO... he wanted chelsea now he better stay there. I don't want him back now, and btw this news is bullocks invented by Silvio.
So why do you hate him? Sheva is a human being, he has his priorities and weaknesses.
Cant say i hate him, i am gratefull for what he did. But... why i and many others dont want him back? Just because he LIED to all us fans, without a shame. He changed the club when he was really needed. He kissed the chelsea shirt on his first match (fist english lesson learned maybe?).
He has priorities, he has weaknesses... - but hell, backstabbing is something i will not tolerate. He could be quiet about being like maldini, he could say earlier he wants to try out some new league, he could say he wants new challenge in his life after 7 years (understandable), he could give a hint he wants to learn english with natives (lol), he could say he wants some trophies after 3 years. But he didnt... instead he was promising a lot and then suddenly ran away and left us staring wide. No love for that kind of guy, sorry.
It may be good for Milan to get him back. But Muri wont let him anyway, and i believe we can get better younger players for less money (i know i know, we will prolly go after ronaldo, lol). Currently im just sad our management didnt swap him for drogba when they had a chance...

"Outrageously arrogant?" I'm sorry, but we have to be somewhat realistic here. This is November we are talking about, not April. Sure, we have had a string of bad results plus the minus eight that has put us in the bottom five, but to think that we will be relegated, in November, is in itself absolutely outrageous. Just like Inter or Palermo thinking that they will be crowned serie a champs for being number 1 this month.
The season's got a long way to go, Jim. You and I both know we are not going to be relegated. We have too much quality for that. THe only question is how much of the season we can salvage. Our objectives have changed quite quickly from Scudetto to Top four finish and now maybe a midtable finish. I'm still holding out for a top four finish and a CL spot for next year. All we need to do is put a good run of results together, 3-4 consecutive wins and we are out of trouble. And who knows, if we can move up the table swiftly by Christmas, we could also be in the running for the title---INter are destined to collapse, Palermo and Roma dont have enough quality. So who knows? I for one am still optimistic about this season.
I agree rt9. We are in trouble, and although we have problems, I think our problems are very "weird". I say 'weird' because the football that we play right now may not be perfect as I agree it can be a lot better, but it certainly deserves to be in the top quarter of the table. I believe that we will get out of this, and come January we will be running for the CL big time.
And then, with a healthy squad and a few reinforcements who knows what can happen. Let's keep faith.
Forza Milan!

I totally agree. I think we played a good game against Roma, but we were really unlucky. And sooner or later we will start winning again, hopefully as early as next weekend. We are bound to.
And honestly, I don't think we need Sheva. Let him rot in Chelsea. I was a Milanista when he came, and I was a Milanista when he left. In my eyes he was a great player for us, but not a symbol of Milan.
Sorry to pick on you Oksana, but i feel like i'm at nursery school reading your posts. Why the big font?

I think that to consider it is in the twillight zone. I find the prospect of me being kidnapped by aliens as a far more pressing concern.
I would love to have him back. The team is much more than any player. Thus is the right one for this specific situation.

Well, yes, i agree...Milan has many games to play, but if nothing changes within the team, if we do not get any new players in January...then we should really think about Serie B. Our present performance doesnt look like Milan performance anymore...coach in Total Club Manager would say: "You play like a bunch of ballerinas" or "You play like a pub team"...Its exaggeration, of course...but the truth is that Milan doesnt show that beautifull football anymore. We canot afford losing anymore matches, but I dont see anything that would make us win even the next one against Empoli, although I truly believe that we ll, I very much hope so.
I think in this situation, whether you like it or not, Sheva seems to be the only one who can help us and there are several reasons for that:
1. Sheva knows the team, he doesnt need time to addapt
2. Sheva knows all the teams in Seria A, all the players strengths and weaknesses
3. Sheva and Kaka played very well together, that is a fact
4. Sheva acould have his ups and downs, but he scored all the time (more or less goals, but he didnt have that long "0-goal" period)
If we bring a new player, especially from other countries, they ll have to adapt to the team first. Unlikly that they ll start scoring immidiately. They ll have to learn how other teams play, learn players weaknesses and strengths. It all takes time that we dont have. So in this angle, do you guys agree that Sheva would be the best choice for us in this situation?
So in this angle, do you guys agree that Sheva would be the best choice for us in this situation?
I agree "in this angle", those points u wrote are true. You just skipped some minuses in it. First of all, it would cost us alot of money, alot of money that was nowhere to be seen in transfer period (so in reaction, buying sheva would mean no defence solutions which would still suck). Second, we need to renovate our squad. We could even pull back others that left this summer, they are much needed. But there comes time when we need to change older players and start building our future on younger ones. We should do that step-by-step, but we waited too long with that and it was almost guaranteed it will hit us back someday.
So yes, buying sheva might even save this season... but on the long run it could only postpone it to the next year.
football is a business. fans of big teams with deep pockets get spoiled...how many great players has milan brought up through their own youth system?
it seems we bring in good players from smaller teams, by giving them the $$$. then by having a bunch of good players, and fielding superior teams, we can then offer the allure of tropheys.
players get offered more $$$ and they take it. big deal. thats business. it happens in every team sport across the globe. just be glad he didnt leave for inter or juve, or another italian team...heck, he moved to another country.
Players like maldini are very rare...thats why he is loved and respected as much as he is...i believe sheva is a good person at heart, i saw him actually crying in the stand at the san siro last year, he wanted to try something new, got paid a boat load of cash...
the players you dont want on your team are the ones that:
1) have troubles off the pitch - arrests, drugs, locker room killers..ect.
2) have big mouths that get them in trouble and help the opposition - saying such and such a player or such and such a team suck.
it is not like sheva left mid season...he actually left early in the transfer window, providing milan with ample opportunity to find a replacement, with many quality strikers on the market.
if he played poorly for a season and a half with only a couple non-significant goals, or no CL goals, i think we would be calling for his head :u56: (sorry couldnt help the reference)
if milan could get him back at 1/2 price, i would say it would be a fantastic deal. However, chelsea rarely gives up even decent players without a fight. i think they would sign every player in the world if they could...
I have said it before and I will say it again. We did well to cash in on him, we should have replaced him. Hopefully Oliveira will justify the enourmous fee we paid for him.

I agree "in this angle", those points u wrote are true. You just skipped some minuses in it. Yes, you are right as well. But in fact, we are not in the position for changes and renewals of our team, as we are in danger of not going to the CL next year, and as a consequence losing Kaka, maybe even going to Serie B. So that is not the best time to try something new. And what if it doesnt work...then we ll lose a lot more money, then just Sheva's price. So this is save and almost certain to succeed solution. I dont see any other to help us out of this situation.

Well, Sheva was quite expensive, so maybe they ll consider letting him back to get their money back. But I really do not believe that we can get him for half of a price.
And about the players we would not want to have in our team...we definately do not want Materazzi style players too...:)

Unfortunately for RO, he came to the team, which has a lot of problems at the moment. So it is harder for him to addapt, then if we were in our normal condition. So he might be not bad...but the whole situation in Milan, with his sister and that he rarely gets a chance to play - he might not show his full potential this year and just wil be rented by some club.

I did not say he will not show his potential..I said he might not be able to. But I also see very good improvements in his performance...considering the situation in Milan now, he is settling very well. He seems to be hungry for scoring...Hope this ll make him score.

He played another kind of football for half a year, things are not certain. But another pressing concern is that Sheva traditionally scored more goals in the first half of the season and generally don't score much at all in January/february. Its been pretty much like that every year he played in Milan, except the 2002/03 season when he had an injury and missed much of it. (although the same signs could be seen then, scoring before his injury and couldn't score in January/february).

There is no logic whatsoever in your statment? Are you saying he wil not be tired because he is out of form? You think he doesn't give 100% now? How will this lead to a difference in tradition?

I am saying that he is not using all his potential there at the moment, because of different reasons. He is not out of form, he is just not playing with his heart there. I saw several games and I can say that for sure. Meaning that is he come back, as he loves Milan a lot (maybe for you its not a fact, but for me it definately is) he ll be playing with his heart, and maybe even better than he used to. As the emotional part is very mportant too. Plus he is not going to be exhausted. Thats all I was trying to say.
I am not saying it WILL happen, just that it have happened before.

Even if Shevchenko did return, all Milan would be doing is "patching" a hole. When he retires Milan would be in the same position as they are now.
We can't look back, we need to focus on the future and RO and Gila are still young.
Yes, their skills aren't at Shevchenko's level but how many strikers are there with that skill who consistently score? The only name I can think of is Thierry Henry and he has committed his future to Arsenal.
RO has shown some glimpses of his potential, the bar just keeps getting in the way of his shots.
Are you, by any chance, a clairvoyant or a foreteller? If not, then how do you know what WILL happen and what WILL NOT?
What? I just said I don't know if it will happen and you quote that and say this? going by old material/statistics is the best we can do at this point. The best gauge we have at predicting how things will end up. "I think so", just doesn't cut it as an argument.

Chelsea prepare fresh bid for Spain striker VillaSoccernet
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is to replace £30million flop Andriy Shevchenko with Valencia striker David Villa in January, according to The Sun.
With former AC Milan striker Shevchenko struggling to adapt to life in the Premiership, Mourinho is looking to bolster his forward options and will make a fresh bid for Villa, who he sees as the man to fire the Blues to a third straight title.
The 24-year-old Spain international scored 25 goals in La Liga last season and was reportedly the subject of a failed £15million bid from Chelsea in the summer, but he remains a target and the Blues are preparing a £22million bid.
A Valencia source said: 'We've got to know Chelsea scout Juan Sol well as he has been to Valencia quite regularly to watch David Villa.
'But Chelsea have already been warned we don't want to sell.'
Dinamo Zagreb's Croatian striker Eduardo da Silva was also linked with Chelsea on Monday.

so if Chelsea want Villa why dont Milan try to get Sheva back even though he has 'betrayed' us he could be the missing piece to our puzzel but for how much would Chelsea want for him? is sheva another Crespo bad in the premiership on fire in Serie A
did you see the man u - chelsea game this weekend?
chelsea brought on j. cole to replace sheva around the 60th minute...
could ever see him as the first sub? as someone to replace to bolster an attack? it has to be killing him...
im not on any chelsea boards, but they got to be crucifing him...
I think our energy should be more wisely spent. :)
I don't believe it'll do him any good to come back. i'll ask him to 'BE A MAN'.
Sheva looks so bad in Chelsea that if he didn't have his name from Milan, then people would be laughing at the decision to put him on the field. I watched Chelsea-Man U. and Sheva kept tripping over the ball like he was just learning how to run with it. His passes weren't sharp and there was no speed in him. He looks horrible right now.

There's a story in the papers here today about Sheva's possible return to Milan. Apparently his wife hasn't adjusted well to life in London at all and wants to go back to Milan, while Sheva himself is struggling on the pitch. Chelsea are now reportedly considering loaning him to Milan for the rest of the season, but a permanent transfer seems unlikely, as Abramovich still believes in him and thinks he will play much better next season. And Milan have apparently agreed to pay his wages for the rest of the season as well.
Suddenly it seems that Berlu wasn't lying to us after all, but really... I don't know how to feel about this. First he betrays the fans and the club, and now he wants to come back? And what kind of welcome will he receive from his former teammates? And the Curva?
Yet, even though I remember how furious I was when he left, IF this happens (and that is a pretty big IF), maybe we should welcome him as in the Bible story where the father welcomes his prodigal son? I am not a religious man, but...
"It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found." (Luke 15:32)
I hope that doesn't happen. Let him stay there. He is a big boy and he can take care of his own problems. We are slowly getting out of our current situation and a couple more wins will put us ahead where we need to be. What does he think he is....god?? He can walk out and in whenever he wants to? No thanx!
Stay there and make your big money now while you trip on the ball and look like you are walking on the pitch for the first time in your life.

Thing is that we need a goal scorer, i think it would be fair if Borriello was loaned out or sold and we got Sheva back... but he cant expect to come back and automatically start... depending if we did get him back, i think we should still enter the market for a Torres/Suazo player.... I dont want galliani to say ah our strike force is fine and all of this...
But I like alot of fans arent that happy about this, i could have told Mrs sheva that life in london blows! :5roma:

Sheva set for Milan loan ?
Chelsea are ready to allow Andriy Shevchenko to rejoin Milan on loan in January, reports in England are suggesting.
The Ukrainian signed for the Stamford Bridge outfit in a £31m move this summer, but has not yet adjusted to his new reality.
He’s scored just three League goals this term and has been heavily criticised by the Press in recent weeks.
According to The Sun newspaper, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to send the striker back to the San Siro for personal reasons.
Not only is Shevchenko struggling to adjust to the change, but wife Kristin is also believed to be finding life tough in London with their two small children.
Milan would welcome Sheva back with open arms, especially given their attacking problems since he was sacrificed six months ago.
Should the former Dynamo Kiev man leave, Chelsea would ponder making a £21m move for Valencia man David Villa in January.
However, President Juan Soler has claimed that no firm bid has been made and any buyer would have to pay Villa’s £100m buy-out clause.
Shevchenko has been consistently associated with an imminent return to the Rossoneri, even if he has ruled out such a possibility on numerous occasions.

Tavano is another option, this really depends on who gos in the winter break... is the squad limit of 25 only in champ league?
isnt there that thing that players can break there contract if there over 30 or something?

"Sheva's switch to Milan in Jan
CHELSEA are considering allowing Andriy Shevchenko to go out on loan in January.
Sheva’s former club AC Milan is the most likely destination — but Blues boss Jose Mourinho will let the Ukrainian switch only after the club have secured a replacement for the £30million flop.
Mourinho has lost patience with Shevchenko, 30, who has bagged just three Premiership goals this term — costing £10m apiece.
Officials in Milan have indicated they would welcome Sheva back with open arms.
The Italian club would also be prepared to pay his salary for the six-month loan spell, which would be granted by Chelsea for ‘personal reasons.’
Sheva’s wife Kristin is said to be struggling to settle in England with their two small children and a return to Italy — where the Ukrainian spent seven years — would ease the pressure.
But a permanent move would not be on the table as Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is hopeful 68-cap Sheva will want to return next season and prove himself.
As SunSport revealed yesterday, Valencia’s David Villa would be Mourinho’s man to replace Sheva.
But the Spaniards are doing their best to warn Chelsea off.

"Shove over Shev
JOSE MOURINHO wants Spain striker David Villa to replace £30million flop Andriy Shevchenko.
The Chelsea boss has run out of patience with Sheva and will try to land £22m Valencia ace Villa in the January transfer window.
Mourinho has had Villa watched 10 TIMES this season. A source at the Spanish club said: “We’ve got to know Chelsea scout Juan Sol well as he has been to Valencia regularly to watch David Villa.
“But Chelsea have already been warned we don’t want to sell.”
Mourinho knows he has to act now after Shevchenko’s inept display in the 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Saturday.
Chelsea chief scout Frank Arnesen saw Villa in Champions League action last week, accompanied by the club’s Spanish scout, Sol.
Villa, 25 this Saturday, would be ineligible for Chelsea’s Champions League campaign.
But Mourinho is still desperate to land him to take the pressure off Didier Drogba and boost the club’s chances of landing a hat-trick of Premiership titles.
He tried to sign Villa last summer — but Valencia rejected a £15m offer.
The Valencia hero exploded out of nowhere last season to bag 25 goals in 35 La Liga appearances.
Villa — nicknamed El Guaje ‘The Kid’ — is now one of the most feared strikers in European football. "

Will see...because Sheva does not play well for Chelsea...he ll just end up on the sub bench. Which for Chelsea is not acceptable, because Sheva was quite expensive. Agree, winning a spot in de Champions Leaque or CL qualifications will help us keep Kaka at Milan.
And if Sheva does return in January or at the end of the season would make our season complete, despite the difficult phase we're in at the moment.
I'm just interested: What's the argument here that Kaka` will definitely leave weithout a CL Qualification next year? Although it sounds intuitive, I also don't see the logic behind, and here is one reason: If Real Madrid has been so wonderful, and their president has always made claims about buying Kaka` (and so many people actually believe that Milan will sell him after the Shevchenko's incident), why will Kaka` want to go to a team that has not won ANYTHING from CL for the past few years, AND have to readapt his whole life at RM, after having seen the so-far flop by Shevchenko in London? What's the logic?
And of course, if you are in RM, you are one of the many stars. In Milan, you are THE star.

well of course - sheva should return
I've jusr been on tgcom.it (Mediaset) website and says that Milan can't register another player outside the EU till June 2006 accoridng to new FIGC rules so this sheva thing is out of question.
I know we currently need the best sheva, but sorry I don't accept to take a player which is not ours so to bring him back in form and give him back to Chelsea. If he's not happy in london I don't care it was his decision to leave us to go to chelsea for his dammed family. With us he was a god with chelsea he's a substitute and I'm happy for his situation. Those who betray our glorious jersey should never have the previlege to wear it again. I don't care where we'll finish this season and what kaka does.... one thing is for sure next season we (I in the first place) will still be supporting Milan weather we wil be in the CL or in Serie B.
Our 4 strikers are Gilardino, Inzaghi, Oliverira and Borriello at the moment I trust only in those 4.... the others can go away.
i am curious, how has sheva betrayed milan?
he got a better deal and took it?
he tried it, and it is not working.
players are not fans!!! this is their life. so what if he wanted to try the epl?
if he had stayed, and played poorly for an entire year, most of the "fans" here would be calling for his replacement. the door swings both ways in sports.
if milan could get him in any aspect, i dont see any negatives, only positives.
1- he plays well w/ kaka
2- maybe olivera/gila will learn something, or at least pick up there games
3- he couldnt make our attack any worse...
4- he has a history of SCORING GOALS
5- he actual seems to get involved emotionally, and not an arrogant head case
i was upset when he left, who wasnt. but to hold a grudge against him i dont understand.
for petes sake, he was crying in the stands during that final game in which he didnt play.
he also left in plenty of time for us to find a replacement striker. which there were plenty to choose from at that time.
and there was all the scandle stuff going on...

I also thought that it is pretty strange that Kaka wants to go to RM..as they really did not take anything in Europe for quite some time. I also agree that in RM he ll be just one of the stars and Milan he is THE STAR. I read his answers on fan's questions...one of the questions was "Is it true that you wanted to go to RM this summer? ", he answered that "Its absolutely not true, I dont know where you got this information." Although the thing is that he might leave to another club, not necesserily to RM..and if we do not get to CL next year - that sounds very realistic.
i am curious, how has sheva betrayed milan?
he got a better deal and took it?
he tried it, and it is not working.

I've jusr been on tgcom.it (Mediaset) website and says that Milan can't register another player outside the EU .
It seems so ;
Loophole blocks Sheva return Wednesday 29 November, 2006
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Andriy Shevchenko cannot complete a loan comeback to Milan in January due to a legal loophole on non-EU players.
Newspapers in England are today insisting that the Chelsea star is so unhappy at Stamford Bridge that he is in negotiations for a shock return to San Siro mid-season.
However, the rules limiting the arrival of non-EU players from a foreign club would make this impossible, as the Rossoneri have already filled their quota with Ricardo Oliveira’s switch from Real Betis Sevilla.
If Shevchenko were to come back to Serie A, it would have to be in the summer, when another non-EU place opens up.
There is another alternative, one already used by Juventus when they brought in Adrian Mutu following his contract termination with Chelsea.
If another Serie A side with a free non-EU place signs the player, then turns him over to the larger club, this gets around the regulations.
Yet this would be very tricky to complete in a purely loan deal, so Chelsea would have to sell Shevchenko to another side in order to then send him forward to the Rossoneri.
The Ukrainian and former European Player of the Year moved to Chelsea for around £30m in the summer.

There were conversations that Milan wanted to loan Oliveira to some brazillian team in january, because of his family problems (so he could be closer to his family). So if this happens, can we then get Sheva on loan?

nope... even if we loan out Oliveira... we cannot get Shevchenko... unless as stated... he is sold to another team in Serie A & loaned to us...

So then it is possible only next year...too bad, as Sheva (in my opinion) was the only "light at the end of the tunnel". If we cant get him in January then I really doubt that we are going to finish in top 5 this season. Which is not only bad from the prospective of not getting into CL next year, but also puts us in danger of losing Kaka...

Fans where crying not him.... if he cried than he should have stayed. He left because he thought he and his family would live better in london. (money wise he's surely better off.
Anyway I'm not going to enter in the debate again I already expressed my feelings about this. Fortunetly this loan thing is not going to happen. Sheva is past, Kaka, Gilardino & Gourcuff the future.

Well, at least he didn't say anything bad about Milan lol~~~
Sheva, the Milan player, will always be in my memory... to me, he's in the past... in our history, along with all the big names like Altafini, Rivera, Van Basten, etc.
I don't want Andryi Shevchenko, the Chelsea player, transferred to our team...

What some of you write here is very sad... :broken:
I was just wondering...if Sheva DOES come to Milan in January or in summer transfer...what are you going to do? Whistle at him? Shout smth like "go back to Chelsea, thats where you really belong to"? or smth else like that?........I cannot understand that...
Gilardino is our future??? Oh please!!! With such future I see Milan in Serie B starting from next season...
Oksana, answering personally, I will not whistle, if he happens to be wearing the rossonero jersey again, I will support him because he will represent Milan...
but... what's broken can not be fixed, at least inside me...
and please don't go back to Gilardino... we all know what you think... we've seen enough of that...
sigh, I just wish we could just move on. If this goes down, I won't be flying over the moon nor will I be skeptical. Sheva's return, if it happens, will be like a movie sequel; it rarely lives up to the first movie.
I watched the Man U-Chelsea game and I didn't even recognize the guy in blue wearing #7. He looked hopelessly lost, like a bicyclist trying to keep up with the pace on the Autobahn. As a matter of fact it's been the case all season for him, so far. Sure Sheva's presence allows much room for Drogba, who at the moment is taking full advantage of this freedom. But eventually the Premiership sides will starting keying on Drogba more. How Sheva reacts to that will tell us whether this rumor will eventually become true. If Sheva starts scoring (which i know he'll do, he's too darn good) then we Milan fans can all finally get on with it.
Yepp that is many players, but according to channel4.com Galliani has told Ancelotti that there will be no new arrivals in january. Let's hope for something in between...
That isn't wrong, Sheva is not a new arrival, an old and known one if it were to happen.
"I want to be like Maldini and Baresi, I want to end my career here"
If that's not betrayal I don't know what is.

Yes, he wants to be back in Milan to become Maldini or Baresi, let's discuss a new deal for him, new wage, new shirt number and new terms.
Sheva, you'd better forget about BP 30m transfer fee, BP130K wage per week and number 7.

hmm, offer me the chance to get Sheva back a few weeks ago and I was prepared to put aside what happened in the last half year and accept him back. However, this was because at the time I felt he could offer an aspect to our game that we desperately needed.
However, since then I've changed my mind. I've changed my mind because I've seen a big improvement in our play and suddenly there finally seems to be a little light in the tunnel. Oliveira is finally looking like a player who'll actually play an important part in the team, and more importantly Gourcuff has added a massive spark to the play, which has improved our play greatly as others are starting to perform.
Personally, I'd rather not have Sheva back now, simply because he moved on and we need to move on too imo.

i think somebody has already said but if sheva came to MIlan again he would eventually have to go back to chelsea because abramovic wants him to go back and play better next season so imo we would be plugging a hole unless Gila,Pippo and Oleveira start scoring some goals.
From what I could understand today on la gazzetta and calciomercato is that sheva would be sent back to milan not as a non-EU player, and that is why the deal would go through. Could someone clear this up for me. It would be greatly appreciated. I think we could definitely use him at this moment. Oliveira has played well of late and so has gourcuff, but gilardino and inzaghi are not pulling their weight. Pippo is old now, and is really best served to be a super sub. Him starting one out of every 4 games and coming on as sub the last 20 mins or so, greatly increases his effectiveness. As for Gila, well that is the 25 million dollar question. He does some good work, moves pretty well without the goal, but he was bought to score and he hasn't played well since March, so questions have to be asked. He was supposed to be the best italian fwd to come onto the scene in quite a while, but he is turning into a Casiraghi, who was a useful player but not a fwd. Sheva has many fences to mend in Milan. Seems Gattuso and Maldini are pissed with him, in addition to Ancelotti, but he does have his supporters at the san siro. I believe that if he came back, he would be the best alternative out there. Looking back on it, I think sheva is one of those players whose mood you could tell by the way he played. If things were going well in his personal life, he was unstoppable, when they weren't (remember late 01-to early 03) he was below par. Weren't there rumors at the time that a woman was toying with his head? Same is happening here in London. He is not settled, his teammates didn't embrace him with open arms like in Milan, and being that he is not the strongest person mentally, he is suffering. Sorry for the whole psychologist talk :) but I honestly believe that he may be 30 but if he came in Jan, he could easily score 10 goals in serie A. He would be a massive addition. I also don't think that he would want to go back to Chelsea, and if things go well, we won't lose face again. We would keep up and pay Chelsea. Once he comes back to Milan, he won't leave. I just wonder now what number he would wear?

No Sheva Pls.. He leave for 4 $ or for his family or wat ever , leave us with his history with us. We just have to move on. I dont think that he will be still the same player when he back.
savage mau, you may be right in terms of him not being the same player, but he is better than any available alternative out there. I am sure he will rediscover his scoring form once back in milan. He nearly scored a 30 meter shot last night against Bolton, so with the right players around him, I am sure he can rediscover his scoring form. I can't really see better available fwds out there. Iaquinta? Suazo? Pandev? Ronaldo? Cassano?Budan?Palacios? Higuain? Some are younger but in my opinion sheva offers more guarantees than all of those mentioned. Now if you tell me that Samuel Etoo is available, then I would tell you to get him in a heartbeat, but he is not. Sheva's memories will live on no matter what. I was upset and angry when he left, but in some instances, everyone is better off when you forgive and forget.
ramo23, nice of you to point this out to us. you are right. Shevchenko spent 7 years in Milan and because of that (7 years working in Italy) he had the right to apply for Italian citizenship. If he did, he would be a citizen of both Italy and the Ukraine and as we all know, Italy is in the EU.....

Maldini and Gattuso are the ones rumoured to be against his comeback. Seedorf and Kaladze are said to be willing to welcome him back at Milan.
btw, not sure if this has been mentioned here, but there seems to be another way around that rule forbidding Sheva a return to Italy in January - I guess he was sold to Chelski as "assimilated communitario" and that would allow them to sell/loan him back to Milan as such in January.
It's mentioned on Gazzetta.

I think Oli would so kind to give him back his number 7...:)
After all he have done for Milan he deserves a chance to be forgiven...And I m sure even if several players are against him..Kaladze, Kaka and Seedorf would be happy to have Sheva back. The only guy who really wishes that Sheva will not come back is probably Gilardino...:)

He broke my heart when he went away, I cursed him then, I hated him for leaving the club where he said he wanted to remain forever just two months before his departure. I said back then I hoped I never saw him again and wished him bad luck in England. :irritate:
Now, if he changed his mind because he realised his error, every human makes mistakes and deserve another chance, I expect him to perform far better in the Milan jersey than he did/does in the Chelsea one. However he should be made clear that he hurt a lot of peoples feelings, fans, players and management when he left, so I wouldn't return his number 7, give him number 14 instead (temporarely, if he remains permanently then we can consider giving it back), and Gattuso has authorisation to wash his lips with detergent for kissing that Chelsea shirt before he's allowed on the pitch :sweeteye: .
All in all, I would be happy to have the lost son back, everyone deserves a second chance. (I know how it feels when you don't get one, so I don't wish that to anyone) :1whis:

Thats good!
Hmmmm, so you sold him to Chelsea, now after 4 months you're happy to have him back on loan, just for giving him back to Chelsea in June.
And you're even OK if he takes number 7 again for 5-6 months and than gives it back to RO.
Did you ask yourself how will RO feel about this ? Because he'll be here after June and Sheva will have to get back to London !
Or how will Gilardino and Inzaghi feel ??? They will have much less play time if Sheva comes, than they do now !
I know Sheva's the idol of most of you, but i can't help saying that if he comes back to Milan for 5-6 months and then flyes back to London .......... the word i'm looking for is : rent-a-car !
Even more ....... i'm not sure if Sheva's come back is really an option or it's just some journalist standing behind this.
Chelsea will lose all the respect they have ( if they have some at all) for making a record club transfer and then loaning him after 3-4 months. They will lose a striker needed for the CL and i don't know how can they replace him since all the other top strikers are cup tied.
Milan won't be able to use him in CL, and him comming back will cause unrest among many Milan players, especially the strikers !
On top of it, no Europe for Sheva anymore this year if he's loaned to Milan.
Yes, it's Chelsea we're talking about, but it still sounds so ilogical !
Who knows...maybe it'll happen !?!

by far the best reason to bring him back...

Tell me please when did Chelsea care about respect?...no, sory..lets say it other way: "When did Abramovic care about anything, but his needs and desires?".
If Sheva comes to us on loan, I dont think he goes back in June..i think then milan will just buy him back. Abramovic is a very rich man, but even he doesnt want to waste 30 million. Sheva doesnt play good in Chelsea, and I doubt very much that he ll ever play good for that team. What can Chelsea do with him? Bench a 30 million player? I dont think thats an option for them. What are their options? Sell Sheva back to Milan and buy someone else. I think thats what Abramovic wants..he wants a new player now. Sheva-toy was not interesting for him...he needs another toy now.
How will Gila feel...sorry I m not allowed to talk about it on this forum..
How will Inzaghi feel? Inzaghi will feel a lot more comfortable to play with Sheva then with Gila or RO.
How will RO feel? RO still has to prove himself..and this is going to be a good push to do so.
I dont see any negative sides of Sheva coming back...I see only bright sides. We all know that Sheva is good in Milan..and seems to me..in Milan only.

Oksana ( pretty name btw. I had one long time ago, but she was from Ukraine :) ) , it's a different question if Milan buys Sheva in June or July. That i find possibile.
But i can't see him making a comeback in January allready. If Sheva leaves Chelsea, then Chelsea will have only Drogba and that young Nigerian Mikel in attack for the CL. Imagine Drogba getting an injury .... do you think Mourinho will put himself in a position to have only Mikel for the champions league ????
And there's no top striker available on the market right now, i mean there's noone who's not cup tied and who can replace Sheva and Drogba .
And i read on Calciomercato today how Sheva says : Now i think about Chelsea only !!! ( and there's smthg about Maldini and Gattuso not wanting Sheva back. If 2 instrumental players, like Maldini and Gattuso don't want him back, if it's true, then i'm sure his comeback will harm Milan much more than do any good).

Thanks :). Oksana - is a Ukrainian name. I am Russian, but my mom just thought that its the only name that suites me, and I think she is right.
As for buying Sheva in June..I think we really should do it. Maybe not on loan in January...although we need some forse in attack..and the soooner we have it the better.
Whatever Sheva said now...is not important really, because almost every player lies, and you know that. Even our Saint Kaka.
Also I dont think that Maldini is a kind of person who d say smth behind Sheva's back. Maldini is a generous man, very kind and very smart - that is why everyone respects him. So even if he does have some problems with Sheva..he ll just disscuss it with him and they ll find a way out of this problem (because Sheva also is a very good person). Gattuso is very impulsive, so it might be just a feeling that he has at this particular moment, which can easily go in a short period of time. Gattuso is a capricorn..i know how capricorns behave, when they are offended (coz I m one myself). So if Sheva comes back and Gattuso really has smth against him, he ll make him pay in his own way and then will forgive :). I dont think that will affect their performance :)

We all know that Sheva is good in Milan..and seems to me..in Milan only.
hmm not sure I agree with Abramovich willing to let Sheva go. I am a businessman like Abromovic, and while he earns a bit more than me, its not good to let uhm a 'investment' go at the click of a finger at a huge loss. Maybe if he gets most of his 30 million back, he'd consider. Sheva is still to learn some English, the pace and get his leg fixed
Tony 29... you''re a gobbo but on this I agree 100% with you. Someone already posted an interview in this thread that saying that $hev is '''happy''' in london, even though personally I have a lot of doubts.
For all those wanting him back don't forget what happenned with Crespo 1 year ago, when we helped him to get his form, Abramovic wanted him to stay there even though Crespo wanted to stay in Milan. Plus that returns do not function at Milan I remember well the flops when men as Sacchi, Capello and Gullit returned after having their spell of success.
Sheva did a lot for Milan and he will be remember for ever but for the way he left personally I will NEVER put him along with Milan's greatest i.e. Rivera, Baresi, Maldini & Van Basten. Note that sheva is a professional he was paid millions with us so he just did his job well and was threated like a god by us me in the first place.

its not worth us giving 30mill back on a player who now is 30... that would be shooting ourselves in the foot.. yeah i agree franco, hes not in the same league of Basten and Rivera.... The money should be invested better!
Sheva got creedy and has bitten off more than he can chew, he has made his bed, and he has to sleep in it...

i honestly doubt that anyone at Milan would consider getting him back even for 2/3 of what Chelski paid us i.e. 30 mil.
Chances are, Galliani would try to see if he can hit another bargain with this deal - like getting Sheva on loan for the rest of this and maybe next year or if Milan could buy him back for say 15 mil or so. Either way, paying 30 mil for him is more or less out of the question, I think.

Well exactly..he does not want to lose money..that is why benching Sheva is not an option for him. If Sheva doesnt start playing well - Abramovic loses his 30 million. So I dont think that as a main goal Abramovic has to keep Sheva in Chelsea.
I agree with Maldini and Gattuso. :proud:

It depends upon which nuts you have got more. I have got more nuts on the top floor and that is I want Sheva on loan from Jan to the end of the season, so that he can help us and ease the pressure on Gila and RO.
$hevchenko has his own dignity. I am sure that he misses Milan like hell, as much as some Milan fans/players who miss him like hell too. It didn't take him long to realize that he needs Milan as much Milan needs him (tactically only though).
But $hevchenko simply won't return, if he is still a man. A 30-year-old man who makes his own decision and takes his own responsibilities. And he doesn't love Milan that much to completely throw away his dignity; if he did love Milan that much, he wouldn't leave in the first place; and he wouldn't/shouldn't have made up those kind of crap as excuses.
He should just go, saying nothing but begging for understanding. He didn't have to tell the truth, but he shouldn't lie either. It amazed me so much that out of so many choices/excuses he could have made, he managed to reach one that was among the lamest and crappiest, if not the only one.

It was a very difficult decision for him...he left, but it really doesnt mean that he doesnt love Milan. In fact, I think he does love Milan very much. He left because his wife wanted to leave. He ve chosen her comfort, sacrificing his own. But as the press writes now, his wife struggles to adapt in London. So if it is true, then his sacrifice was a waste.
Anyways, I think that time will show. If he comes, I m sure we all will welcome him as we all know that he can take us out of the hell staraight to the paradise. If he doesnt come, then some of us (at least me) will be sad, but will have to accept the fact that he is not going to be a Milan player ever again. The decision is not going to be taken by us, and we cannot affect anything. So whatever happens - happens. And the only thing we can do is live with it.
I never said he doesn't love Milan. I believe that he loved Milan very much and he still does so quite much.
I never said that wasn't a difficult decision either. It must be burning him.
and I agree with you that he left because his wife wanted him to leave. I regret that a Milan legend was ruined. (In my opinion, had he played in Milan for another 3 or 4 years consistently, he could have achieved even higher than van Basten, considering that the latter's career was cut short by injury and was only active for about 5 years top)
Maldini said, I quote (not literally though), "$hevchenko will still be remembered for what he had done for Milan; he had contributed greatly. Love stories end. Players come and go. Had he been honest, he would find the whole situation much easier for himself and for the others who love Milan. He shouldn't have lied".
Not to mention such a lame lie!!!

Which exactly lie Maldini was talking about? Seems like it really did hurt him...
That wasn't exactly what Maldini said. I was just quoting from memory. I don't specifically remember Maldini using the word "lie" (I might have fabricated the word a bit; :D but Maldini meant the same thing), but I do remember Maldini saying that had he handled this issue with honesty, the situation wouldn't have gone out of control.
The "lie" however was pretty obvious, wasn't it? I sometime even doubt that he wanted more money; probably it was simply his wife. Players come and go, which is only natural in this highly commercialized soccer world. But Rui Costa and Stam will leave behind only sweet memory and Milan fans' appreciation, because they were more mature (not just honest) thus they receive respect. Who would believe that he could use 'learning English' as one of his reasons? :stress:
It is a huge shame that an important figure who had done so much for Milan and would have come down into Milan's history book easily as one of the top 10 big names could let all these be destroyed. He has hurt Milan badly, he has hurt Milan fans badly, and he has hurt himself badly. I couldn't care less, but he is a 30-year-old, and he should just take the consequences of his own decisions. I am a few months older than him, (that makes me a 30-year-old too), so trust me, I fully understand what that means.
this is slightly off-topic: Gullit, Capello; they both left Milan in a bad/sour term, and their comeback didn't lead to any positivity, so I strongly doubt that Milan will have him back, as much he could have done to us tactically. We don't need him; the damage is too huge comparatively speaking. if we could, I would rather Milan go for Cassano. He is a locker-room bomb, but at least he is still a kid, and it is easier to discipline a real kid than a 30-year-old kid.

Yeah...that reason about learning English sounded stupid...However, i d be able to forgive him...maybe I m stupid...but I actually have forgiven him already. I think that he might be very useful for Milan this year, but who knows..maybe you are right and he would not do any good.
As for Cassano, he is a good player. Although this guy is very neurotic and ambitious - and that affects his play. We already have one mental striker..do we really need another one?

We all do not even have to forgive him in the first place, because he didn't do anything wrong. He did the right thing, in his perspective.
Again, no one ever here says we don't love him, or we hate him or whatever... stop making assumption. All people here are saying is that he does not deserve the kind of respect that he used to get in the past due to the incident. But he is still getting our respect. Period.

Sheva is a EU player.
http://www.soccernet.com/europe/news/2000/1204/20001204eushevchenko.html
This was six years ago. So I would think he's still one today.
The problem with him leaving is that he spat at the idea of going to Chelsea and made clear his intentions to stay with Milan for the rest of his career. You can't do that two months before going right back to the place you said you wouldn't go. I believe he did it for personal reasons. Milan fans, however, do have a right to be very angry for very personal reasons. It makes sense to be very angry at him, but if he did leave for personal reasons and he truly wants to come back he should be forgiven...As long as he is sincerely sorry- not for leaving- but for saying what he said just before he did leave. And coming back on loan isn't a good idea. That will really be heartbreaking. At least I think so.
And if he does come back then leave the #7 up to RO.

Yeah, if the Chelski fails make good use of the 30m Sheva they have tho find some way to recover it or some part of it. In any case they can forget about the price of 30m for sheva we are negotiating (if I may say so) on a different flatform now (we sold a glorious Sheva and now buying back an unsettled, out of form Shevchenko, Chelse bought a diamond and now wants to sell to us some pieces of glass that we hope to turn into crystal) and Sheva can for get about his wage of 130k per week as well as his No. 7.
Let forget about all the politics and talk about only money, I would get Galliani is willing to pay something like 15m, Sheva get 90k per week and number 37. That sounds logic.

Even if we get Sheva back, it would just be like finding a temporary plug for a permanent hole ;) ( I am not sure if there is a saying like this..:D). Personally, I wouldnt even pay 15 Mil for him although I'd still love to have him here at Milan. It's best that Shechenko comes back on loan basis for a season or so while we invest money in some younger strikers, building up for the future :). The best scenario would be Sheva becomes unsettled in England. He would then terminate his chelsea contract on mutual termination and come back to Milan as a free signing..:).

so, basically all the figures are smaller, except for the jersey number which will be (much) bigger? :coffee:
I don't think that he will return and I don't want him to return either. Just for the sake of argument, I think #77 is more likely than #37, or maybe #3+4?(like Zamoraro's #1+8). :ilol:

Why would Chelsea suddenly throw a king's ransom at a 33-year-old goalie with a bum knee, especially when no one knows what Dida's going to be like physically when he returns? Doesn't make sense.
I've been following this whole thing closely and the dollar amounts (in millions) keep fluctuating up and down in different articles that I don't know who to believe anymore. Heck, some sources have gone so far as to claim that he wants 6 mil a year. Bunk. If that were the case, Milan would basically tell him to take a hike.
There's more to this story than we'll ever find out. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes. All we've had for the most part is Galliani saying the same sound bites over and over about him renewing his deal. Too bad all this crap had to get underway during his lousy season last year. That's definitely playing a part nowadays.
And also just to mention it, they have no idea why Dida is delaying renewing his contract.....
I think I can answer this one for you... I believe this with my head and my gut...
"Buffon"
Dida is 5 years older than Gigi, injured... and has pretty much completed his cycle along with other veterans... like Serginho, Ambrosini...
players who have done enough to deserve a good way out...
I think in this case, Galliani-Braida, have made an "agreement" with Dida to handle this in such way, that it appears that despite much love from both parties, the contract negotiation didn't prosper... giving him a warm warefell, wishing him good in his future, returning to Brasil, or Man Utd. or Qatar...
instead of making it look like "he's old and shaky, let's not pay him, let's invest in Buffon who will be our keeper for the next 5-7 years, until the end of his carreer, like his uncle (Lorenzo Buffon)"

A white lie is when someone is lieing but for a good cause :)
"Adriano Galliani attended an awards ceremony at the headquarters of Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper in Milan on Monday morning to honour former Inter president Giacinto Facchetti.
As Galliani left, he answered questions on Milan's plans once the January transfer window opens. The chief executive said: 'Sheva will not return. The first thing Milan need to do is get the injured players fit. We don't need reinforcements apart from maybe someone in defence.'"

I hate him at the moment :sob: but if he comes back, he would again go on top of my all time favorite players list, where he was previously. He is the only striker is the world who is

I actually agree with you Sant. I've been thinking the same thing. Dida's contract negotiations haven't really gotten anywhere by the looks of it despite the odd comment of "we hope he signs soon".
I'm not going to say why I think we should sign Buffon, as I said already why he is one of my dream signings, but I do think it could be reality.
Looking at Buffon, we know he's the type who'd generally stay in Italy if he can. Secondly, he only has 3 clubs named to be after him, Chelsea, Inter and Milan. Chelsea I doubt would ever really consider it wise to get him as though Cech is out, he will obviously return and Cudicini is an excellent reserve, so having Buffon as well is more than likely going to result in problems for that goalkeeping role in the squad.
Another factor is Inter have already denied any links, but note how very quiet we've been on the matter. We already know Buffon was ready to join last summer, and had it not been for calciopolli, we'd have him as our first choice keeper.
Buffon has been very ambiguous regarding his future at Juve. There's no certainty he intends to stay beyond this season, and I personally think he'll leave. Reason I say I think he'll leave is because he stayed there simply because they got relegated and matters got complicated. He has also said he felt it's getting to a time to move on with his career, I think he mentioned something about new challenges or something, but either way, there are few reasons to believe he intends to stay with Juve.
Finally, his agent recently didn't state what Buffon's intentions are. Instead he stated the opposite and said he is unsure what Buffon wants, again, causing doubt to him staying at Juve.
I really do dream of seeing Buffon in our jersey, I hope that the speculation surrounding him to us comes true, even if it's at the expense of others like Amelia.

Boy, you are dreaming...I did not attack you at all. Look at your posts with loads of "!!!!!!" - that seems more like an attack. Dont you think?
About Sheva...as we all know Galliani with his lies, I would not be so sure...Even Galliani can be forced to leave the club - that is not impossible either. And then what happens..who knows?
"Adriano Galliani attended an awards ceremony at the headquarters of Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper in Milan on Monday morning to honour former Inter president Giacinto Facchetti.
As Galliani left, he answered questions on Milan's plans once the January transfer window opens. The chief executive said: 'Sheva will not return. The first thing Milan need to do is get the injured players fit. We don't need reinforcements apart from maybe someone in defence.'"

I think I can answer this one for you... I believe this with my head and my gut...
"Buffon"
Dida is 5 years older than Gigi, injured... and has pretty much completed his cycle along with other veterans... like Serginho, Ambrosini...
players who have done enough to deserve a good way out...
I think in this case, Galliani-Braida, have made an "agreement" with Dida to handle this in such way, that it appears that despite much love from both parties, the contract negotiation didn't prosper... giving him a warm warefell, wishing him good in his future, returning to Brasil, or Man Utd. or Qatar...

Buffon is loyal to Juve...he stayed and plays in Serie B now. I really dont think that he ll come to Milan, or to any other team.

It is official,he wont come!Just read it!
He is 30 years old!Chelsea paid for him 45Milion Euros!
Chelsea wont let him to go after that price they paid for him!And milan cant sign him for january because we are not allowed for another non-EU.And great clubs look the future and not the past!Think logically!
Finally, his agent recently didn't state what Buffon's intentions are. Instead he stated the opposite and said he is unsure what Buffon wants, again, causing doubt to him staying at Juve.
.
His agent said this because Buffon really doesn't knows what he wants.
He first said he'll help Juve this season and then everything is possibile ( meaning, he'll most probably leave)
But the latest thing he said was " Make Juve competitive again, and i'm staying here"
So, if you like Buffon, pray Juve won't buy top players :)
And what's this about Juve players. Since the summer i hear all of you : give me Buffon, give me Zambrotta, give me Zlatan, Trez, Cannavaro, Emerson...
Stop it now or i'll start "Kaka to Juve" campaign !!! I think he'll do good in Juve, and he'll be happy to see how the balls he provides the attackers with, go in, for a change :) :D
Seriously now , chances for Buffon to leave Juve are 50-50 imo. It depends on too many things. And the chances for him to go to Milan are even smaller than 50% i think. It depends on Juve's willingness to let him go to a rival, it depends on the money Berlu is ready to pay, and at the end, it depends on will Buffon chose Milan for his next club. So far i haven't heard him saying anything about Milan, unlike Zambrotta f.e, and every connection to Milan was just some journalists speculation !

Sheva is considered as an EU player...I think logically - that is why after so many official lies from Galliani I say: "Time will show"
Time will indeed tell, won't it? I'll keep my eyes open for Angelo being online and I'll (carefully of course) keep picking his brain for stuff he's heard and what he may know. I'm convinced that half the time the stuff posted on the official site is a smoke screen--just stuff to tell the fans while other stuff may be happening. We obviously need a scorer, we didn't prepare the way we should have for the loss of Sheva, but I can't even predict that one. The Buffon issue is mysterious b/c Juve keeps bobbling their statements about him and he keeps saying different things....again, could be a smoke screen. Egoistka said Gig is loyal to Juve, but to me he was even more loyal to Parma and he left there. We can only wait and see!!

Same as he has a right to make a mistake, and deserves a chance to fix it if he wants to.
can't we forgive him?
DAMN NO HE DON'T DESERVE THAT
People really need to chill about Shev. At one time, alot of you who are now being so cruel and rude about him absolutely idolized him. He's still the same person and I am 110% convinced we do not know why he left Milan. Yes, it was painful the way it happened, but it's not the first time nor will it be the last time a player pledged themselves to Milan only to have something happen, something come up. Blame the agent, that's what I say, b/c I think someone felt at THAT time that Milan might end up relegated b/c of caliopoli. We fans do not know the whole story nor do we know the actual turn of events that led to his departure.

I did not judge you at all. Sheva is my fav player as well...and I also felt horrible when read the news that he left to Chelsea. However, becuase he is my fav player, i am trying to understand him, I can forgive him. He still is my fav player, even though he is in Chelsea now. And I am still gratful for all the moments of happiness that he brought us, being a Milan player.
No one is trying to judge, just maybe talk some sense into people. This sort of blatant rudeness and cruelty has gone on FAR TOO LONG. I feel fairly certain after some of the comments Buffon made over the summer he was interested in Milan and prepared to go. Here's an old article... http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/aug23e.html
Also bear in mind that with Buffon Milan made no attempts to hide it, and outright stated they would attempt to get him (Braida being the one making the comments). The Livorno president also mentioned it too, saying Milan would most probably use Amelia as a bargaining chip to get Buffon.
Either way, Tony surely you expected people to want to get Juve players considering the club's situation. Unfortunately some rumours, especially ones surrounding Buffon won't stop seeing as we're talking about the world's best keeper not stating he wants to remain at Juve (Kaka states he's happy at Milan and we still have to put up with rumours).
As for Kaka to Juve campaign, bear in mind we're used to it with Calderon's idiocy :D
Anyway, we're guilty of going off topic, let's continue any further discussion regarding Buffon here....

Sorry to interrupt any intellectual discussion. Its pointless talking about Sheva. Chelski won't let him go. Some of our players wouldn't respect a return. I wouldn't want us paying 25 ~ 30 MN Euros for him.
If the Bendtner rumors are true I suggest we just go and grab him. He will cost at least 15 MN Euros but gourmet stuff always comes expensive. He is a tight lipped guy, close to cassano's attitude but I guess we can develop him into a good and obedient player under the guidance of our champions.

Quite confusing...seems to me that they dont know themselves what do they really want. It seems like chaos to me...too bad if that is really so, as it may end in losses for the club.

The Ukraine star, 30, has scored just three league goals since his £30.8m summer move and has been linked with a return to AC Milan.
"I feel at home and it's felt like my team for a long time but unfortunately my game doesn't suit Mourinho.
"Roman Abramovich is my friend but all he could do was insist on a loan deal instead of me being sold," he said.
Shevchenko, who scored his first European goal for Chelsea in Tuesday's 2-0 Champions League win over Levski Sofia, said he had not discussed his future with the club.
"But if it happens, I am ready to pack my bags," he said. "I'm a completely self-confident person. If I don't suit somebody then I'll go back to Italy and prove how good I can still be.
"I'm not finished as a player. On the other hand I have nothing to prove. Everybody knows what Andriy Shevchenko is capable of."
Chelsea owner Abramovich lured the forward to Stamford Bridge on a four-year contract in May in the belief that he would provide the goals to win the Champions League.
Shevchenko is still considered a hero by AC Milan fans after he helped them win European club football's greatest prize in 2003.
However, the former European Footballer of the Year has yet to find the dazzling form that persuaded Chelsea to break the British transfer record.

Good news eh? :grinser:
(This news is same as Helena's)
Why does he want to come back? Is it because he genuinely misses Milan or is it because here he was worshiped and idolised, guaranteed a starting position even if he had one leg and didn't have to fight hard for his place????
At Chelsea he isn't the fan's favourite, he's just one of many stars and he isn't always picked and is often subbed early in games. Here he plays all the time and even has the nerve to go against the coach just like Seedorf.
If he's coming here for the right reasons and can accept that the team needs to move forward meaning he won't always start or be first choice (due to other new players)then fine ... if he wants to move back because it's an easy ride and it's not so much hard work here then he can stay where he is.

totally agree, i would like him back as a third choice...
Maybe like Torres/Huntellaar, Gila, Suazo then him...
yeah right like ancelotti is gonna keep him as the third choice especially when we have a great deal of options to choose from (bieng sarcastic)... it's good if he comes back because if you see it the way i see it, we'll have his services so our stirker problem will be solved, and the 30 million that we spent on him will be considered an added bonus..
You got folks here that criticize our current striker but are so quick to put them ahead of Sheva. Just brilliant! Some of you must enjoy the taste of cough medicine. You folks like to keep the bitter taste in your mouths.

Tell me why he should be ahead of our strikers then? On his current form he's no better than them. Plus he ditched us remember, or are you too quick to forget that and want to welcome him back with loving arms. Maybe i do like bitter cough medicine, just like you seem to like the taste of Shevchenko's backside.

I find sheva to be playing a little better than Gila and Pippo at the mintue even though hes not playing to well he took his goal really well against sofia. Sheva must be sick of seeing Lampard shouting 10 times in one game now plus Ballack who has not found top form yet to work with them it must be hard. If he comes to milan he will settle in quick and am score he would find the net for us 10 or so times in serie a after January on loan would be a little pointless though i would welcome him with open arms less than 15mil
I'd be more than willing to give Sheva the chance b/c we all KNOW damned well what he can do, every one of you who is questioning him now used to support him to the fullest. :d55: Shameful how you're being such cutthroats and I'm sorry if you don't like my putting it in those words. How often do I have to tell you we fans DO NOT know the real story behind why he left us?
Put him ahead of the strikers we have now? Hell yes! Get him back with Pippo, let's make it work again. Problem is, thanks alot mangement et al, we've lost the midfielder who could probably do the appropriate feeding of balls but hey, that's the game ain't it?
An dyes, I do think Shev misses Milan--let's face it, the team got him to the level where he is, Westernized him, took care of him....this organization we have does treat it's people very well!!!
Of course i used to support him to the fullest, no doubt. But he was a Milan player then and he's not now. At this moment i prefer to support the strikers we do have and not one who thinks he can just waltz back in to boost his ego again. Does that make me a cutthroat for raising an eyebrow about his motives for coming back here, fine then i accept that.
Can those people who want him straight back in the team as though nothing had happened, for ditiching us and coming up with the excuse that it was about learning the English language accept being called sycophants?

i never critisise Gila, thats why i included him in the list, i put him ahead of Sheva because hes been loyal... Plus i think hes really unlucky this year, he needs a decent strike partner to play with.. Look at last year with Gila, being played with Inzaghi and selfish Oli isnt doing him any favours...

At the rate our strikers is scoring, the presence of sheva to spearhead our attack is a boost. We Milan fans know what he is capable of.
Anyway my head says, get he ass back at Milan but heart says the opposite.
We will not be having these problem if Milan can cope well with the crisis.
All I know is that, Sheva is not performing well in chelsea while Milan need him.

we wouldnt have this debate if Oli wasnt useless atm, this is the problem... The way his speech was written kinda gives you the idea its up to Mourinho to decide, if sheva doesnt fit his team.. The only way we can get him is if he does a Mutu and rips up his contract, or am i wrong?
Angelo had a few minutes to jump online today, so yes, I did try to pick his brain. Hopefully one of these days he'll have longer than just a few minutes!! Here's part of our convo:

Hardly encouraging.
I'll keep saying, Gallianis time is up now. But not as much for the transfer market as for whatever involvment he had in the scandal.

Gila's been loyal? He's been with us 2 seaons...he's still a newcomer in my books. :diablo:
Kris, I don't know if Galliani's time is up, or if it's matter of him and Berlo needing to sit down and get on the same page as far as the team and transfers and so on.

don't compare sheva whit mutu
remember how mutu leave chelsea: on the back door
sheva isn't that player to take drogs like mutu
I am saying his time is up because that is what I want now. He have been sitting there long and while I won't be as hard on his managment in general, I can't fogive him for the scandal thing. Not sure if this is true, but I heard that he knew about the Moggi cheating (was handed the transcripts), but he didn't do anything about it. Basically he let Juve continue to cheat.

don't you think that we talk a little too much about the Sheva's Return
we fill 17 page's whit that subject and we got no conclusion
how great was Sheva, how beautifull bla bla bla
belive it or not that's history now
I say it again: WE HAVE 4 GOOD STRYKER

Check this out: http://www.goal.com/en/articolo.aspx?contenutoid=185303
The Ukraine international has endured a difficult start to his Blues career, with rumours -denied by the player- suggesting that he could return to Milan.
"I feel at home at Chelsea and it’s felt like my team for a long time, but I admit I could leave – my game doesn’t suit the Coach" he was quoted as saying in the Daily Mirror.
"Everyone has been saying that I could be sent on loan to Milan, but I still haven’t discussed this with the management.
"I think they probably still haven’t decided themselves.
"However, if this were to happen then I’m ready to pack my bags. I’m a self-confident person, if I don’t suit somebody I’ll go back to Italy and prove how good I can still be.
"I don’t think I’m finished as a player and I don’t feel I have something to prove, everyone knows what Shevchenko is capable of.
"Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is a friend and completely on my side, but all he could do was insist on a loan deal instead of me being sold.
"I understand Mourinho – I’m not scoring as many goals as I would like to. Of course I would be sorry to leave London, firstly because of my family, who have already made a new life here.
"My wife Kristen was pleased with the move which allowed her to finally find herself in an English-speaking country. It’s clear that I will not move Kristen and our sons back to Milan."
I'd bet you his backside isnt as bitter as what ever you got on your taste buds. Yeah your bitterness is that bad dude. Get a dentist. Rather than being weak people whose feeeewings are hurt, try give me some better reasons to why Sheva SHOULDNT join us.
Geeeez! The lot and those that choose to be amongst them JIM is so idiotic I have to help them develope a d@mn legit argument. Here's one for you Sheva haters to use. I give you permission so it doesnt give the appearance of stealing my ideas:
The suspected deal is from what I hear is a loan agreement. We all know what Sheva can do and he knows this team better than he does Chelsea. So this loan deal if it ever goes through can potentially improve on our league campaign. That'll get you weekly b!tchers to shut to hell up after Milan didnt make up for you folks personal shortgivings in life. Now here's the crux of it all. With his return on loan, will it affect his potential buy back if he has a ressurection of the Sheva of past? The dilema is that if his return gives us success, his market value with definitely shoot back up to a price we may not want to buy him back. It's a short term fix but it BUYS US TIME.
Gosh that was too simple.
Another thing that just makes me laugh at is the fickleness of some of you. The lot of you all talk about this team should do this or that, get him, sell him, sign him, ditch him all for the sake of the future. YET you complain about yesterday, the week before that, and the months before that. I have more faith in those who have consistently worked hard to improve on and give us a legacy we claim to be proud of rather than the lot of you all! I'm speaking of the management folks! You all moan about the past when we have a proud legacy and have no idea of vision for the future. Milan to you lot only goes as far as the last layer of your epidermal structure. Its this "me, me, me, woe is me" moan I hear. I'm not to sure if I'm talking to folks with chronic menstruating syndrom or Neo-Castratis! This club is an entity for the ages and not your d@mn baby pacifier you all love to suck on.
(sorry kui, had to edit that one part....errr...PART!! LOL)
This is so unlike Sheva, wanting to quit? Anyway however the chips fall, I wish him all the best.

A good and fair assesment Rosso6. I'm glad you see the overall picture of him as a player and his contribution to this club and the entire game of football.
(sorry kui, had to edit that one part....errr...PART!! LOL)
LOL! That was bad huh? Do you understand the sentiment and point of it though?
I don't think I've seen these boards so divided over a player since Oliver Bierhoff's second season with us! :1ang:
I'm not quick to forget that Shev left us under very strange circumstances. The whole lot of you Sheva haters really needs to get over it however and get it thru your heads that we fans do not know the true circumstances. I know we don't know for certain and that we've been fed whatever Shev's handlers and our PR people decided to release to us. Having known Angelo since 1999, I can assure you that we fans only get about half of the story and know maybe that much of what actually goes on. But walking around hating a man you used to bow to and praise week in and week out is something I've found, in all my years surrounded by Milan fans, as being very hard to understand. Dare I use the word fickle? I shall since Kui already brought it up. I've been on this site since Day 1 and if someone asked me to describe Milan fans, especially those online, one word I'd employ is fickle--the lot of them turns against any given player in an instant.
Why the fetch are we so divided over this issue? Yeah, Shev hurt us. It really pains me that he left, but I can't hate him. Players are only pawns inthe great game that we all love and follow so ardently. Our great game is little more than a business, and sometimes that business is mishandled. This is one instance! Deep down I have a hunch that someone--a handler, an agent, someone--had gotten a tip that Milan was in grave danger of being demoted, so sell one of the players that so many teams lust after. OK, so it happened suddenly...hell's bells I was online with Angelo when the meeting was taking place, he just all of a suddn told me that Shev was there to meet with Galliani to discuss his future. Do any of us know what occurred in that office? No, we don't; we only know the outcome.
Milan wasn't prepared to lose its top striker, but how is that Shev's fault? Whoever agreed to the sale is totally at fault for not getting more $$ for him and then using that $$ to actually replace him. On top of that we lost Rui Costa, whom I know too many of you hated, but the man was a key part of our attack, you'll never convince me otherwise. Could he have fed this Gila person? I don't know, but the man had the smarts to feed alot of strikers in his career, maybe he could pulled it off.
In the end, our bickering isn't helping the team's situation one little bit. We're stuck with a striker who, I'm sorry but in my books, hasn't proven his worth. He's into his second season, he still hasn't found his groove. Usually you allow a player a year to settle in. We need a solution and we need it damned soon. At this point I don't care who or what the solution is--we're too close to relegation territory for any of us to feel comfy. Most other teams would have doen something a month or more ago and that somethign would have been a coaching switch. We're too stubborn to admit the problem in that area but I'm not. In any sport the coach is looked at as being the root of problems as he's the one who motivates. When a coach can't motivate any longer, then the team is in trouble. We are in TROUBLE!!
Kuster, I totally understood your sentiment, I just didn't want to see the convo dip to too LOW of a level....LOL! :5ok:

i really hated Sheva for what he did to us but iv come to relise that he went because of the fresh challenge and the club that was offering. you can deny that we have got problems scoring yes olveira is getting better. but we need sheva to get us back up the league just until we can spend the cash to gfet another striker thats anygood. hope the sheva haters will relise how much we need him and forgive him.
peace
