Mods, you can decide if this stays here or you'll remove it to discussions.

Before Juve was relegated, many mean Juve and Inter fans were calling AC Milan - BBilan because Milan was relegated twice.
Milan fans were always pointing out how Juventus should have also been relegated from serie A in 1913 because they finished last, but they somehow saved themselves from being relegated.

My question is connected to that :

In 1913 there was no serie A and no serie B ( I know it sounds strange).
There were 6 divisions :
Piemonte division - Juventus, Pro Vercelli, Casale, Torino, Piemonte, Novara
Lombardia division - Milan, Genoa, Inter, Andrea Doria, Milanese, Libertas
Veneto/Emilia Romagna division - Verona, Vicenza, Venezia, Volontari, Bologna, Modena
Toscana division- Juventusque, Livorno, Firenze, Pisa
Lazio division - Lazio, Juventus Audax, Esperia, Roman, Pro Roma, Alba
Campania division - Naples, Internazionale Napoli

As you can see, there are only divisions, some of them consisted of 2 teams only, some 4 , some had 6.
Juventus ended last in Piemonte division, so many people thought Juve should have been relegated.
But the question is where ?
There were no other divisions where Juve would have been relegated. Last placed teams from 1912 , like Piemonte and Bologna, weren't relegated also, and as you can see above, they played again in their divisions in 1913.
( Juve was also last placed in 1911, but it's the similar case as above)

And now Inter.
1909 is an interesting year.
Why ?
Because there were also divisions. Inter played in Lombardian division, together with Milan and U.S Milanese, and Inter finished last placed in this division.
But Inter wasn't relegated to lower division. They were last placed and weren't relegated.
Why ? Because there were no lower divisions. That was it, those were the Italian clubs, and they couldn't get relegated.

Inter again.
In season 1921/22 Inter ended dead last in group B of Northern league. There were 12 teams in this league and they ended last placed. But they weren't relegated again, because , like before, there wasn't a place where they could have been relegated.

And now Milan.
There was a law in early 1900's, forbidding foreigners to play for Italian clubs.
Milan, Genoa and Torino fileded foreigners in season 1908 and they were banned from the league that season : They didn't participate at all in the league.
So, Milan wasn't last placed, but didn't participate in the league.

Until 1929/30 there was no serie A and serie B, so last placed teams couldn't be relegated to lower divisions.

So, my question is, should we concider Juventus for a team escaping relegation, as many concidered it to be, and should we call Inter - Binter, instead of calling them Perdenti :) , because they were last placed in season 1921/22

??????

I really have no answer on this, so i'd appreciate if you give us your thoughts !

Thanx

Well Tony29 as a philosopher of History as you are, the answer is quite simple. In fact, I believe you explained it already. Inter and Juve have never been relegated due to the fact that today's rule had not been in place back then.
In analogy should I think less of Aristotle because of the common practice of pederasty prevalent in Ancient Greece? It would be foolish of me to judge upon historical figures/events using my standard of values practiced today, lest I too be d@mned by my grandchildren for me driving a vehicle that may "pollute" the world they will live in years yet to come.
