View Full Version : Official: Marco Storari signs for Milan
According to news from Italy Milan are on the verge of signing Messina keeper Marco Storari (born in 1977). It seems that in the next days (if not hours) this news should be made official. Storari will be Milan's 2nd keeper till now since Kalac have never convinced Ancelotti and Milan managment, plus that there is also uncertaintly on Dida's future. Before Storari Milan's objective was Lazio's Matteo Sereni but the move seems to be complicated even because Milan are negotiating with Lazio for Oddo. Storari should be given a 3 year contract.

he is very good keeper so before you start with your sarcasm, you might actually wanna watch him first.
Also, no one's said he will be our first choice keeper in the years to come. With one of Kalac or Fiori, or maybe even both, gone at the end of the season, Storari will be used as back-up keeper to either Dida or whoever it is that we buy to replace him ... he would be a very good choice for a second GK, and is at a good age for that - 29.

Cool, I like this Guy..A good move by Milan Management.
P.S. My 1st post!
IMO He is very good GK! Not a world class but good enough to play for Milan! He can be our second GK, First may be Dida or...I don`t know, we`ll see in Summer!

Remember Ferdinando Coppola?
that guys we got cause he was available for free plus we didn't really need him to begin with.
I am sure we will be a little more "demanding" in choosing this keeper cause 1) we need a good GK asap and 2) this time, we will be paying for him :tong:

And I think Kalac is injured...?
Milan doctor Jean Pierre Meersseman takes a look at the injury situation: Dida has recovered and will be back to cover injured Kalac, Kakà will play Sunday, Ambro and Kala are next in line to come off the injured list
Milan’s head doctor, Jean Pierre Meersseman, summed up the current situation with the injuries:
KALAC: He was injured in the game against Reggina. He’s not sure when exactly the injury occurred, at halftime he said he was in a bit of pain but at the end of the game it seemed to have passed and there were no problems. However, the day after the pain returned. He pulled a ligament in his knee and he might be out for 30 to 60 days.
DIDA: He has recovered and he can play against Lazio.

Yep. Out for 1-2 months. You know, if the irony of this isn't freaky, then I don't know what is. :)

I would not mind to see Storari as first choice and Coppola as second, I know Storari is 30 but he can still play another few seasons. Coppola is a not bad back up.
Neither Coppolla or Storari are good enough to start for Milan, but Storari is a good 2nd keeper. Actually signed him in ISS PRO. IMO Fiori & Kalac should be sold in summer, with either Dida/Buffon as 1st choice, and a youth players as 3rd choice. Thank God we didn't get Sereni. Absolute muck keeper.
Storari has been officially signed till 2010. Welcome to Milan.
welcome Storari ....
Is he first choice or reserve in the team?

Milan have confirmed the capture of goalkeeper Marco Storari from Serie A strugglers Messina.
The Rossoneri made their move for the shot-stopper on Tuesday given that Zeljko Kalac is likely to be out for a month with injury.
Although Nelson Dida is being tipped to start against Lazio on Sunday after his knee problem, there are still doubts over his fitness.
As a precautionary measure, the Italian giants have increased their glove options with the acquisition of the 30-year-old.
Storari has signed a contract at the club until June 2010 even if no details of the fee paid to the Sicilian side have been released.
The goalkeeper has 82 Serie A games under his belt after also appearing for Perugia, Ancona and Napoli.
I see Ronaldo looks set to sign.
our team is going to the dogs.
Is there any chance we signed him in order to trade him for Amelia? Livorno said some time back that they would only sell Amelia if they got a keeper back as part of the deal. What do you think?

welcome to Storari. Not a bad signing at all, as he is a decent keeper and now that Dida is back, will make a good replacement for Kalac as our second keeper.

I am sure he hasn't come here to be a back up to Dida. He is in good form, perfect age and definitely wouldn't like that role. I wouldn't mind seeing him as a first GK too. He has done well and you guys might be knowing how much he frustrated us last time.
For the age of a GK, you can call Kalac and Pagliuca as back ups. Even Peruzzi doesn't fit into the role of a back up.

I suggest you start applying for a managing director in Ac Milan, Please dont judge some player you dont know. At least We have A WISE management , if we get wonderkids like you just said, we wont get serie a this season , so why to spend if you can qualify for championsleague and thats our only objective for 2007 then in 2008 i am sure you will see milan 1990-1991 .

Storari is one of the best keepers in Serie A, and costed us 2 millions.
One day we must name all the supposed talents manu MM members wanted to be signed by any means : Diego, Van der Vaart, D'Alessandro, Aimar..etc...all players that would have failed miserably at Milan
:respect: ^ How many ManU fans were mad @ fergie for booting out Beckham...and buying a little acne infested teenager named Christiano Ronaldo :1five:
