If you haven't guessed from the title, today is our very own Hawaiian god of thunder's birthday ... that's Kui to you and me :grinser:

Oh my am I gettin older! If mums had me and my twin James (YES... I have a twin!) two days earlier, we'd be like only 8 and 1/2 yrs old. That's if '74 was a leap year. Believe it or not, I dont celebrate birthdays. LOL! Today will be a normal day of work and errands. Still staying away from the markets. ZERO trades til Monday. Wait... that's another thread isnt it? Just in case people were wondering what all the mumbo jumbo was, it is a song of birth given to me from long ago. In ancient times chiefs (ali'i) were given privy to "Mele Ma'i" or birth chants. Counts for nothing really these days as times of Kings, chiefs and nobility is quite archaic in my opinion. Its quite pagan of course yet accepted by the LDS as "cultural value". Anyways a quick translation line by line as shown in Hawaiian previously.
He comes, Ku'i comes, from the East.

They are inquiring of you
The gods above
What are the names of the gods above?
The Dark Cloud of the Sky
The Yellowish Cloud, the Reddish Cloud

LOL! A miniscule correction here Jim. It would be Hau 'Oli Lā Hānau. The "kahako" above the letter a. shift+alt and some code I forgot already. But your greeting of HAU`OLI LA HANAU, wouldnt be an incorrect one. When you say the words out loud, can't really tell the difference.
Anyway I shall thank you first and foremost for wishing me a happy birthday!
