I joined at October 2000, but I think that I started reading in the forum on April 10, 1999. Yes, I remember that specific date, because that was the date I took a really huge test and after that, I went to a friend's house. He is a Milan fan too and he had Internet access, which was a big thing back then in China. now I wonder when this site was built? Could someone please answer me? maybe Debs? :)

Congrats Inferno. It's nice to see that a lot of members stay here for a long time and don't just run away after a year or so.
I started reading the forum back in 99 but I didn't have a computer of mine to register. So I registered 2 years later in 2001.

The birthday of the MM forum should be the day Debs joined. That sounds logical enough, right ? :)
So, it's March 12th 1999.

Actually, there was a site the pre-dated MM, but was also created by MM's creator Jan. That site was called Il Rossoneri and I found that one in July or August of 1998, when I was surfing for stuff on Maldini. I do not think it had forum, instead there was an email list we all used. I can't even guess how many people may have been on the list, seemed like alot and I did learn alot from it...but there were some very nasty and hot-headed members of the list who could turn anything into a flame war. Jan and I often took the same peace-keeping role and he must have contacted me off list at some point. He and I then moved our own convos to ICQ (an IM program) and it was in the fall of 98 that he told me he was creating a new site, what did I think of the name Milan Mania. I probably saw alot of his designs and early pages and I know I was one of the first people he asked to try registering at the brand new forum!!! March 12, 1999? Wow, I recall registering in January of 99 but maybe that was some sort of trial run for the forum software.

Anyway....that's the history of Milan Mania. Would you believe we actually ran for a year at least without any moderators?? Then Jan asked me if I'd mind helping him "keep an eye on things" and it all grew from there....
