I know there are a few members here that are good at photoshop and such so my question is it be possible to create some Milan folder icons? to replace all the plain and boring standard icons. You could use them where you store all of your Milan related stuff. If its also available does anybody have a website where cursors could be downloaded?.

do you have some picture editing software? Photoshop is the best thing to use.

what kind of icons are you looking for? Photos of players (i.e. realistic looking) or some pixel graphic ones?

just sum of club badge (realistic) just to replace the normal folder icons with all my Milan stuff in to make it more personal and different. But a dont know where to start or what to do.

Right, first of all you didn't say if you had photoshop or not. I assume you do, though if you have illustrator though that might be even better.

I did a quick search and found some links that should help you, they explain things in a much better way than i could and it'll give you the majority of the background info you need to know to make them.

Ok, first link: Link 1 (http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art23070.asp)

This will tell you the basics of what you need to do to make folder icons and gives you links to icon generators (you need to take your picture and use it to convert to a specific file type).

Second link: Link 2 (http://tutorials20.com/design/how-to-make-a-folder-icon/)

Here is a link to a tutorial on how to make a nice looking folder icon. Now i know you want to make milan ones, but you should go through this tutorial to see the kind of quality you can produce.

Third link: Link 3 (http://www.iconarchive.com/category/sport/world-cup-2006-icons-by-fasticon.html)

This is a site with some 2006 World Cup icons on it. I thought this might give you some ideas. You can download these and probably alter them in photoshop. Plus it'll give you a good indication of the size your icons need to be. This is very important, they need to be a set size, usually a square (i.e. 32 pixels by 32 pixels .... 48 x 48 ... etc) so pay attention to the ones you like and use them as a reference for the size you want to make your own.

Fourth link: Link 4 a (http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,7028-order,1-page,1-c,alldownloads/description.html) and Link 4 b (http://www.camtech2000.net/Pages/IcoFolder.html)

These two are two programs that you can download that convert your pictures into icons and then set them to the specific folders. Least that's what i think they do, you'll have to have a bit of a read and have a go.

So there you are, plenty of stuff to delve into and get your head round. Plus there's enough on the web to keep you going for weeks if you search for something like "folder icon tutorials" on yahoo or google.
