Roy Keane has done a remarkable job in turning Sunderland around.

I don't think anybody could have imagined it.

And to cap it off, we're now Champions. Fantastic! Who'd have thought it when we were 24th after a few games this season ...

Is it true Sunderland will be moving to Dublin to be renamed SundIreland? ;)

They'll certainly have a lot of new fans on that side of the Irish sea anyway :D Good ot see 2 of Fergie's pupils have made it back, i was hoping we could get a Wolves - WBA clash in the playoff final but unfortunately they'll meet in the semi now.

Albion should win that one, and most likely play Derby in what is certainly the biggest single domestic match in the world, worth £60m now!

Congrats Nammy, Roy Keane has done remarkable! Good luck in the Prem next season, looking forward to Man United-Sunderland.

And Steza, congratulations to you as well. I'd like to see what Mourinho comes up with next. And good luck in the FA Cup Final.

thanks mate :5ok:

glad its finally all over, im not particularly confident of either the midweek game or the cup final as Chelsea and their army of central midfielders tend to stifle Utd out of games. They've got a point to prove now too, Mourinho was desperate to win 3 in a row as only Fergie has done it, so its brilliantly ironic that it was Fergie who stopped him :)

Do you even understand what you write?

a few basic translations :D

Mackems - People from Sunderland/ Sunderland fans
Geordie - Person from Tyneside(Newcastle and surrounding area)/ Newcastle fan
Howay the lads - Something Geordies shout to encourage their team.

Americas first president was of Geordie descent though fortunately for you he probably wasnt quite as unintelligible as the ones who still live there. If he'd have tried to rally his troops by telling them 'Howay!, wim gannin ta Yorktoon ta hoy the English oot of wor country' then you'd probably still be under British rule now :D

Well I have to apologize to Doc, then. But talking like this is why you lost the revolution :D (No offense intended)

Yeah, seems like SAFC is becoming Irish - Irish maganer, chairman, investors, sponser (for next sesson). There were something like a couple thousand Irish supporters who travelled to one of our home games too. I think 9 of our 28 players are from Ireland too. But I'm not complaining! I look foward to next season, feeling more confident than the last time we went up - though it will be tough. I definetely be doign more travelling to.
I also thought I'd say that I'm not from Sunderland ... it's a long story but I moved around a lot as a kid (my dad is in the RAF) and I didn't really get into football. I was nicknamed 'Niall Quinn' because its similar to my real name (and I used to be tall), so I began to support Sunderland a few years ago. And I found out my Aunt's uncle played for them in the 1920s.
