I am greatly remiss in saying Happy Canada Day to all our Canadian members--that was on July 1!! Guess you guys all had Monday off and quaffed a few Molsons to celebrate, eh???
Tomorrow is our 4th of July holiday....and I get tomorrow, Thursday and Friday off of summer school. I was counting on just the one day, gave my class a choice--we could get out 2 or 3 days early at the end of summer school or we could have this Thursday and Friday like the summer school flier had said. They all voted for taking this Thursday and Friday off, darn it!
So anyway, we've had dummies inour neighborhood setting off fireworks since last Thursday night, and I'm talking the one night it was still going on after 11:15 PM! I'm as patriotic as the next Yank, but I don't understand these firecracker junkies. NO ONE else is settign them off, the neighborhood is dark, people are trying to sleep b/c people have to get up and go to work....and they're setting this junk off. My cat hates it, dogs in the neighborhood hate it. We have elderly people who ive aorudn here, why should they have to put up with it? And what about families with babies and young children? Set the stuff off, but be sensible and stop by dark, ya know???
