Smolarek just got a red card and Henry came in to replace Messi in 60 minute.
Now Deco is replacing Yaya Toure
Total domination Barcelona but 15 min. till the end and they had only one 100% chance, one dangerous free kick and one solid chance for Henry.
They really have problems in the last 1/3 of the field.
They played with 2 AMC's (Dinho+Messi) and Eto'o was a clear striker but after Henry replaced Messi now Henry is the target man while Eto'o took Messi's spot on the right side.
Eto'o looks lost in both positions.
Imo, the best for Barcelona would be if they play Messi and Dinho behind Henry.
Great pass Dinho to Henry who made a typical move for him, got free space, but he hits the post.
So far, only Dinho from the fantastic four deserves to be called "fantastic".

totally unimpressed by Barca have to say ... they will probably get better as the season progresses and the players get in shape but right now all the hype around them is just hot air and not much more.
Santander have had some very good chances themselves and they have been playing most of the 2nd half with 10 men after Smolarek got himself sent off after being probably less than 10 min on the field ... in all fairness, I am not sure the foul deserved a straight red but ....
Valdes is awful. He made a terrible clearance and he gave a 100% chance to Santander but they missed it. They could have won this in 91st minute, with player less.

Barcelona perhaps deserved to win this but Santander should get all the credits. They defended perfectly.
Eto'o was awful and so was Deco after he came in. Barcelona's defense was solid but far from perfect. They did miss Milito and Puyol though.
Midfield is very weak defensively. They were especially vulnerable after Toure was replaced.
Barcelona is playing some SWEET football atm and Abidal is really ripping up the left side. Seems attack is the best defense indeed. It's been all Barcelona this first half. They're never lacking a creative outlet, cuz pretty much each player is a wizard on the ball.

Barcelona given an invisible goal as a strike from Yaya Touré hits the crossbar and ricochets off the line. At first the goal wasn't given but then all of a sudden the referee says it's a goal and Barca's up 3-1. And now Marquez gets his second yellow card and is sent off. And then a guy brings down Dos Santos and gets a red card for his troubles. 10 v 10 now.
Sneijder seems to have settled in well for Madrid, i wonder if he could have done the business for us :dontkn:

How I would of loved him at Milan, he would of been the type of player to poach the goals for us.
Instead we can just dream and hang on to 1 - 1 draws.
Which are you talking about? Henry or Messi ?
