so after reading this article i thought it was funny, silvio thinks we are training to hard, maybe we are tired after every game because we are old and ancelotti doesnt know how to rotate a squad properly also fair enough he points out the cups we have won but we havent competed for a scudetto since 2004 and before you say 2005&06 ummm we cheated !

interesting to hear everyones thoughts.
Training method and hours is unlikely to be any part of the problem in my opinion. Of course he is right about Ronaldo and Pato giving more options but it remains to be seen if they will make the difference. Just because it helped last year (Ronaldo's arrival) is no guarantee it will again.

You guys remember how Galliani said our team's average was less than 30? Well I wanted to investigate myself, here's some stats for you guys:
Here's the squad and their ages:
Dida - 35
Kalac - 36
Fiori - 35
Average for GKs: 35.333
Number of GKs under 30: 0
Cafu - 37
Maldini 39
Kaladze - 30
Bonera - 26
Nesta - 31
Simic - 32
Jankulovski - 30
Favalli - 36
Oddo - 31
Serginho - 37
Average for Defenders: 32.9
Number of Defenders under 30: 1
Gattuso - 29
Pirlo - 28
Seedorf - 31
Gourcuff - 21
Ambrosini - 31
Brocchi - 32
Kaka - 25
Emerson - 34
Average for MFs: 28.875
Number of MFs under 30: 4
Ronaldo - 31
Inzaghi - 34
Gilardino - 25
Pato - 18
Average for forwards: 27
Number of forwards under 30: 2
The total average of the team is: 31.027
Lemme try to calculate the average of the starting line up in CL/Serie A and see:
Dida - 35
Oddo - 31
Nesta - 31
Kaladze - 30 (not counting maldini just to make the numbers look smaller)
Janku - 30
Pirlo - 28
Ambrosini - 31
Gattuso - 29
Seedorf - 31
Kaka - 25
Gila - 25 (no pippo for same reason as maldini)
Average is 29.6
If we count Maldini and Pippo/Ronaldo omg it will be around 32-33.
How could Berlu said that? Nowadays, professional footballers only train for a couple of hours a day. And most of the times they're playing a 6 to 6 game, or practising shoots, and things like that. That doesn't sound like tiring enough, especially when considering their wage

Personally, I believe that if you have nothing smart to say, don't say anything at all. And Milan directors should probably learn to be like that too. When Berlusconi and Galliani talk, it's like they have their heads so far up their asses that they are only seeing whatever brain cells they have left is producing. Maybe what they saw was a Milan team who is still kicking ass in every game they play. I mean Galliani actually asked the question of which player we would replace if we make new signings? I will make a list for you, Dida, Kaladze, Seedorf, Gilardino and whoever is pairing with him as our striker. The question and comments made by Galliani and Berlusconi are the type of crap you keep to yourself and never ever let anybody else besides your family and friends hear. It is one thing to show your support to the team but quite another when you flat out insult the intelligence of the fans. We don't need any new players because we are great. That is the kind of crap that put this team in this position in the first place and keep repeating it is not the way to solve the problem.

During the summer loads of the fans themselves were against signing new players because (we are the Champions) so dont blame the managment only but also we should blame our self as we were agreeing with them in the beginning of the problem.

hitmannq8, those average ages aren't particularly bad, or at least not anywhere near as bad as people make out, I don't think anyone can count Maldini or Pippo as regular first team players now anyway.
Anyway, back to Berlu's point, it may be beneficial to work in this way. Our squad could probably do with relaxing a little more, as the play right now isn't natural, but rather feels forced, so to approach training in a more relaxed manner may help the mental state of the players.

i think you will find that alot of fans like myself have been on about transfers for the last 2 years. The champ league win was lucky, anyway teams should naturally reinforce every season so they stay competive. That is something Milan has not done.

I know that you were with the sides that wants new blood :respect: and I guess I know exactly who were not, I just said this in my previous post because when I said after the CL final, that we need at least a new player in each line I faced huge diagreeing :argue: and I felt if I am stupid :hammer: because I want new players, and the same happened when I said we need new coash, I am curious to see what this side will say if Milan lost today :smileani: .

BTW when will the match start?
It's so obvious. All of our problems are down to lack of sleep. Not m,issing open goals, or being unable to catch a cold, or knowing how to close a player down.
Extra beds during the winter mercato, and will be sorted. Age is irrelevant if the players. Some comfort blankets may be needed for some players, but considering the average age of the team, maybe they just need their afternoon naps.
Damn whippersnappers.
hahaha tony, good one :dielaugh:
You can add one extra malta therapy during the winter and we should be good enough to finish 4th, only about 30 points behind inter.

Who exactly didn't want the team to sign new players? Other than a few guys who said something like "we don't necessarily have to have new players", pretty much everyone I have seen said we needed some huge signings. Only a vast minority of the fan base actually agreed with the management. I myself have been questioning the management's decisions for a few years now.
