View Full Version : Young stars of A.C. Milan's future of S70 millions
I believe that in all the truth their is, A.C. Milan, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Barcelona are good teams. But their is a problem that we all know, Real, the reds and the catalyans have new blood in case their some of their old players transfer or retire. I think the former Prime Minister to Berlusconi should only use $70 mil. First off, I have watched the main professional leagues: Primera, Barclay's, Serie A, MLS and Rest of the World. First off I believe that A.C. milan should go for Rafael Palacio, Andres Guardado, Huntelaar, Brazil defenders and Argentina midifielders. I hope we get Kompany and Mertesacker(rumor from goal.com). I believe he is saving the money Ronaldinho. I've also heard Kanoute and Drogba might join because he believes and loves the history of Milan, Inter, and Juventus. I believe that Gourcoff needs to be in the line up.
Main goal: DEFENDERS, SECOND GOAL: MID, THIRD: Drogba, or ROnaldinho.
Somehow we need new blood for some competition. Maldini and Nesta will leave the club soon. Please post opinion.

I would say all of the above. Although if I can only pick one, it would be a tough pick between Huntlaar and Drogba. I am going to go with Huntlaar because he is younger while Drogba is already 30. Huntlaar is a true center forward who knows how to score the ball and that is exactly what we lack in our attacking force right now.
To me, this team needs a major overhaul. I would say 100 million is the price we need to pay to get this taken care of. Not only do we need depth at practically every single position there is and some new starters in certain positions, we also need another superstar in the lineup. A guy like Samuel Eto'o would be the perfect choice. I for one am sick and tired of watching second rate wannabes crowding our starting 11 and pretend that they are world class. The only world class player we have are Nesta, Pirlo and Kaka, nobody else is even close to being in that class.
As far as Gourcuff goes, this guy needs to get his head straight. There is this strange belief within Milan that as long as they wear a Milan jersey, they have to be respected, supported and loved by all. That is a bunch of crap. Players should earn their respect and playing time, not just by being on the team. That is precisely what the problem with Gourcuff is. He hasn't shown anything that says he deserves to start or even be a regular back up since he has been here. And yet he is always complaining about how he doesn't have any playing time. Look at what happened to Kaka. Rui Costa was the clear cut first choice at his position when Kaka came over. But Kaka worked hard and impressed the coach enough that he took over within a couple of months. You don't hear him constantly complaining and whining about how he needs more playing time to improve. Gourcuff needs to shut up and work his butt off day in and day out. He has a good environment and he has guys who can mentor him. It is up to him to work hard and improve himself. Nobody can force him to do that.

What Milan really needs is 5 new young player (forward, midfielder, 2 defender, gk), and we are done for the next 5 years again!
We do not have to forget that besides the experienced players we already have Pato, Gilardino, Kaka, Gourcuff, Di Gennaro, Bonera, Grimi, Darmian and Marzoratti, so our future doesn't look so bad at all:)
What we really need is 5 more players and we can relax again!
For the attack we are missing only one guy, a goalmachine because with him, Pato and Gilardino we are all set again! Forget Ronaldinho, he is way too expensive, and it's better to make a champion (like Kaka) than buy a champion (like Rivaldo)! I would rather have a Pato type player, who is fast and can dribble! For example Rossi, Giovinco, Huntelaar, Benzema...
I think we need one fast creative midfielder, because our midfield is lacking speed! Only 2 names came to my mind, who are really creative, fast players who can also shoot from outside the area, and can make the difference, Diego or Nasri or this Modric guy doesn't look bad at all!
The biggest problem I see in defence. I think we only need 2 players, one centre defender (Barzagli, Kompany etc.) and one who can play in LB and RB (Daniel Alves) positions.
And of course a new golkeeper (young italian) is necessary!

THIS JANUARY, with our 25 million euro budget, I expect two GOOD players. For starters, drogba is a great start, however my two best are CURRENTLY D.Alves and Diego, but by the end of next summer I'm expecting about 5 more players aswell, R10 or eto'o, drogba, Rossi, BUT DIEGO IS STILL A MUST-- and then if we can fit in a bit over 70 id throw in martins
I would like for Milan to go for the following players.
Goalkeeper: I think our best option would be Sebastien Frey.
Defence: I think we should try and get Marzoratti back and buy someone like Caini. Zambrotta would also be a good option.
Midfield: I would like Milan to try and get Montolivo. He would be able to be a back up for both Pirlo and Kaka, and eventually cement a place in the starting eleven. Also Donadel (does anyone know the situation with him? Is he still a Milan player loaned out?).
Attack: We need an out and out goal scorer someone in a similar mould to Eto. Not sure who would be the best option here and personally I'm prepared to wait to see how good Pato is.
Here's hoping!
Donadel was sold two years ago.

Diego as in Werder's Diego? He is a good player but similiar to players we alredy have like Seedorf, Gourcuff, Pirlo, etc. We need someone that can bring something different then the players we already have+improve our squad depth+allow us to change our style of play and up the tempo when we need to score goals. A would go for a player that is fast+cant take on players like wingers :)
Slifersd, I can't believe that Kaka, Pirlo and Nesta are the only players you consider world class at Milan. I must ask what you consider Gattuso, Seedorf, Inzaghi, Ronaldo and Jankulovski? As far as transfers go, I'd like to see the following players wearing a rossonero jersey:
Goalie: PLEASE BRING BACK ABBIATI, PLEASE!!!
Defense: We certainly need central defenders as Maldini and Nesta are not getting any younger and Kaladze and Bonera are definitely not starter material. So I was thinking of bringing in Barzagli and Gamberini for the CB roles. Also, we need to bring a good back up to Janku at LB since his back up Serghino is getting old and soon to retire. I was thinking that bringing in Grosso from Lyon would not only do that but it would also be a big slap in the face to Inter (which can never be done enough)
Midfield: This is our strongest area and probably one of the best midfields around. If anything, I would like to see guys like Nasri and Ribery just turn up the heat in our midfield and create a superteam.
Attack: With Pato ready to play in January, Ronaldo back from injury, Gila and Pippo finding their rhytm, I think we're fine. I hear a lot of people fussing about our attack but we were forgetting Pato and Ronaldo haven't played for us yet. In attack, I say we do nothing.

I think for the nearer future of Milan, it would be:
------------------------Boruc-----------------------------
-----Marcelo-------Bonera---------Kaladze------Grimi------
------------------Gattuso------Pirlo-----------------------
-------------Fernandinho-------------------Kaka----------
------------------------Palacios--------------------------
-----------------Huntelaar or Gilardino--------------------
Subs: Arenas, Marzoratti, Sidnei, Guardado, Gourcuff, Pato, Millan
Marcelo is a left back, and not that good either. I say bruing back our players on loan - Grimi, Marzoratti, Pozzi, Di Gennaro, and promote Offredi, Cosner, & one other youngster. Sign Frey, Banega, Kompany, Zambrotta, De Silvestri, Ronaldinho & Benezma. To go Fiori, Kalac, Paolo, Simic, Favalli, Serginho, Cafu, Ba, Emerson, & Ronaldo.
That would be a squad of about 28 players, several of them young and ready to learn from the masters during the season and eventually replace them.
Possible Line-up; Frey, Oddo, Nesta, Kaladze, Zambrotta, Pirlo, Rino, Gourcuff, Kaka, Pato, Gila.
Experience and youth well blended.
Coppa Italia team: Offredi, Cosner, Marzoratti, Darmian, Grimi, Brocchi, Seedorf, Janku, Di Gennaro, Pippo, Pozzi as an example.

I might come across as a jerk (and I'm really not trying to), but I think I disagree with every one of your points.
First, while I agree that Abbiati would be an improvement over Dida, I don't think he's the answer (nor do I have any suggestions on another replacement).
Second, while I agree that we need to think about the future at CB and I wouldn't mind Barzagli, I actually think Bonera will be fine as a starter. (Kaladze is a similar age to Nesta, so no comment on him.) A backup for Janku? You mean someone that Janku can backup, right?
So let me get this straight. You say our midfield is our strongest area and I agree with that. You mention Nasri and Ribery as welcome additions (I agree with that too), but then you say our attack is fine?!? Ronaldo is continuously injured and may never play again this season for all we know. Pato is unproven and I refuse to buy into all the hype until I actually see him play in Serie A. You've got to assume an 18 yr old, no matter how good he is, most likely won't make that much of an impact in his first season.
If we address anything, it would be the same things that should have been addressed in the summer. A LB to replace an ineffective, out-of-his-true-LM-role Janku, at least one striker that can play now and Ronaldinho :5drunk: ok that last part isn't necessary, but would be really cool...

guys ! i am sorry to go off point, but it is my point of view that we are bunch of dreamers who love milan and spend a lot of time speaking and debating on who is coming and who is leaving and many of us know for sure that these talks are pointless while others think that maybe galliani enter out forum and read our posts and do what we want.....!!!!! i am not saying that this posting isn't fun, but some people just are over reacting and ....!!! any way some local newspapers stated that ac milan has an egyptian goalkeeper in its youth programs ... something which looks very fictious but very nice so i am asking people who won't be mad from this post to check this up for me ( his name is mohammed el-ashram and he is 16/17 years old ) ... also folks who will not be mad ... since i will sit to the computer a lot i hope somebody could give me an easy free link to download the latest football manager , does it work on windows vista? , is it fun any way?... sorry again for going off point.... viva milano :5chore: :respect:

The new Milan players (in June) that can realistically join us in June are:
- Abbiati: he costs zero and he's at the same level of the other keepers you mentioned. Buffon is the only on another planet, or maybe Cech and a few others who are not on the market. So i'd call back Abbiati, considering the others offer no guarantee they are a class above what we already have.
- Zambrotta : he is the player we'll sign. Forget Alves and all the others. Milan history is not made of crazy signings in defence. The highest price i wold pay for a defender is 10-12 M.
- Manuel Vargas: it depends whether either Cafu and Serginho will leave. It's more likely that just one of them will leave.
- Amauri : he's a complete striker, and is the big guy we need upfront to open the closed lower table serie a defences.
- Ronaldinho: yes. Dinho can join us, because Berlusconi wants him and he will sign him. He will surely go away from Barcelona and i can't see any other team signing him.
