considering that over the past few years videos on the web have become increasingly popular, especially with websites like youtube, I thought it might be worth having a thread where people can post some of their favourite videos.

I'll start off with two videos of a passion of mine, Wing Chun Kung Fu. These aren't random videos either, but actually of my master (sifu), Sifu Samuel Kwok. Well, to be more precise the first two videos are of him.

To begin, this video clip shows part of sifu Kwok's lineage in Wing Chun, showing his two masters, Grandmasters Ip Chun and Ip Ching, the sons of Ip Man (Bruce Lee's master). It also shows some little demonstrations. For those wondering what the rolling of the hands stuff is, it's a training technique called Chi Sau, in method used to train reflexes, sensitivity to movement and techniques in an unrehearsed (or random) manner. Definately one of the most effective training methods I've have done.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtJFh0cbLQA

The second video is more of sifu Kwok. This time you get to see him demonstrating some different techniques of Chi Sau, his speed and control and also a fairly close view of his arms, which are solid like metal poles. Couple of things to note too, such as those he's training with are no mugs, but masters themselves, and also the wood breaking demo is done with solid wood, not breaking wood as often used (I've seen him do it in real life). The fact the wood is hanging and it's done from a few inches (he normally does it from 1 inch) never ceases to amaze me.

Finally, I happened to find a clip of a sparring match from a Wing Chun practitioner and a kickboxer. It shows some of the ways Wing Chun is used in self defence.

I'll have to wait until i'm back at college to see those videos, no broadband at home.

However, following nicely on from Dev's choices is this little clip. I'm sure most of you have seen it and who knows if it is real or not ( i really hope it is real ) but it makes me laugh so i thought i'd share it.

Martial Arts Auditions (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgUvqKuE1Ag)

Also if you're a console fan and like video games, type in Chad Warden in youtube and see his two videos. It's a guy (probably with no friends) trying to pass himself off as a gangsta and it just makes you laugh because he's such a try hard :D His videos have swearing in though, so go careful kids. Also have a look at some of the replies to his videos, a couple are quite funny.

Yeah, he's funny. I like the other one who falls over and then gets up and tries to act all cool 'yeah, i'm good, i meant to do that' :D

The guy who tries to break the wood is brilliant too.

I recently saw a few vids which I thought were pretty interesting.

The first is about mentos mixed with diet coke, which reacts and causes the drink to fizz/explode.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKoB0MHVBvM&mode=related&search=

The second is an advert for Carlsberg (watch after the first vid to get an idea of what's going on ;) ) .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAcc8CPhlO4

The last I found pretty inspiring and beautiful, the whole moment is simply brilliant. It's about an average British guy who works in a mobile phone shop but decides to go on a singing competition. Personally, if you only watch one vid in this post, I think this should be it. Fans of Italian football (thus all of you I hope ;) ) will know the song too..

Edit: more of the singing man. Magnificent...

Today i saw the video of Ronaldo (not ours) running against the Bugatti Veyron. What a joke that is! It's so badly done, 1 minute they start level and the next Ronaldo is miles ahead ... they then have to go back again so the Veyron has to reverse!

All the papers & Nike now say he's quicker than the car, it's almost as embaressing as when Habanna ran against that Cheetah :rollani:

Martial arts- the perfection : Yuan Wen Qing (Wushu)

This guy has been the best martial artist in China for a decade, from '80s to late '90...He's still one of the best around and a master, but look at his older videos, when he was at his peak.

Commercial of Breil, with the divine Charlize Theron http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ROlGtWKmh4&feature=related ....she's a Botticelli like beauty..i adore her, she's so sensual and beautiful. She fits perfectly the sensuality of the song.

The superb song comes from Patty Pravo, one of italian best artists ever. She's the female version of David Bowie, and even 30 years later she kicks arses. She was so modern and sharp, considering the next video is from 1978. Those times rocked, really. Once we had class, now we have just sylicone and fake lips. Class ? Not anymore.

Patty Pravo- Pensiero Stupendo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_w19Hg-ZRAM&feature=related ..... She's awesome. In the '70s Italy a woman comes out with such divine attitude and sing a song which talks about lesbian sex. Just out of this world. She was so modern and sexy. A true artist, who is born to perform onto a stage.

Another video i found:

Marcha Real- Spanish National Himn : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S19dt7JWQs ...... the best national himn in the world, IMO
