View Full Version : Inter system? / The new Juve

I was going to put this in the calciopoli thread but it might be worth opening a new one up.

After last night, can anyone actually say Inter are not getting "favours" from referees?

Theres a interesting story on tgcom.it about this..

Ive always though the calciopoli was part of a bigger thing. Realistically Inter would never be able to win the scudetto when Juve and Milan are on form. And the only way to win would be to get both teams punished.

I agree mate but what do we know the FIGC sorted this out *cough*backhandersfrommoratti*cough*. just seems weird how 3 years ago they goofed up and blew it and now the same as Juve are dominant in Italy but fail in europe because they dont get the favoured refs. is this what your getting at?

Graeme C

yeah thats it, decisions just seem to always go for them. And not alot goes against them.
With part of Inters management dealing with the phones thing, you wonder if they have dirt on refs and FIGC members and hold them to ransom in return for favours..

Following the yet again generous calls that aided Inter's win against Parma, mainstream footie talk here in Italy has officially labelled Inter as the New Juve.

Even if in Italian I believe you lot recall all the incidents

I think alot of the time people just see what they want to see. I'm sure you could probably make up a list of incidents that make Milan look 'dodgy' too.

1 thing Italy should do is introduce a video panel so they can ban cheats like Mutu! What a dive for the 2nd so called penalty, he's an absolute disgrace and should recieve at least a 3 game ban for that.

at least Mutu went down at the right time Jim unlike Gila against Celtic last year, remember?

Mutu went clear past his man and then fell over, yet somehow got a 2nd penalty. I wouldn't really call that the right time.

I'd rather not remember Gilardino against Celtic thanks!

I suppose it is Inter's turn to be favored by refs now. Looking a few years back, Juventus and sometimes Milan were heavily favored by refrees on a consistent basis, while Inter got screwed all the time. And now it is Inter's turn to be on top. I guess it all evens each other out.

I don't think inter stealled parma in that game, even couto admited it was handball, plus the second goal from parma comes from a dive from corradi....

Kaka1899

Couto admitted the ball brushed his hand after he had headed it away, that imo is Parma been screwed by the ref, i can bet as well if Ibra missed his PK it would have been retaken.

It's a more relaxed atmosphere here than in Inter and Juve forums, so I guess I will spend some time here more :D

There are dodgy dcisions in any game, but there are the ones that stand out though, and that Couto incident is important because the outcome of the game changed almost immedietly, but the guy said it brushed his hands and I do believe it's a penalty

My point is, what Inter are being accused of is worse than what milan got penalised for. if things seem to good to be true, its prob because it isnt. Milan got done because Meani asked for a ref that wasnt influenced by Moggi, and its too fishy that Inter are hardly getting penalties against them.

I cant claim Milans innocence, but i am aware that we never got anything this blatant going our way.

I think alot of Juve fans are calling for a investigation, well there has to be.

Collina also said that it wasn't a penalty and it was a bad call by the ref. Inter fans are the only ones who think it was a penalty.

The Italian public started complaining with a good reason. The foul over Kaka in Inter-Milan, Cordoba's foul over Del Piero in Juve-Inter, the foul over Corradi on Sunday and few more clear fouls in Inter's box didn't result with a penalty, but everytime an Inter player falls just like that in the box the refs give penalties. The penalty against Lazio, against Siena and against Parma were more than funny and yet given.

Not that i care, inter would most prolly win it anyway this year and i expected this even before the season started. Its just funny to me how, like Tony said, interistas (and some exceptions) are the only one claimin couto said it brushed his hand and the penalty is clear. Yeeez, people can look replays for the whole day and most of them cant be sure about handling the ball... one thing is certain, the ball was cleared with head and on the way out it was marginally touched with a hand. No change of direction, nothing you could see from a SLOW, ZOOMED replay. And there is no penalty if ref dont know for sure... This one was really sure, he gave it as soon as a couple of inter players raise their hands.

And seeing so many people talk about this (again, almost everyone except interistas) sure aint just for fun. Where is a smoke there's a fire... it really reminded me on the seasons before all hell broke loose with juve. Who's wire-tapping this time?

In my mind, Collina is just being political in this view :rollani:

I don't know but it's way too early to say anything near the scale of Juve's calciopoli

That's the scary part.
So early after Calciopoli, when we all hoped that everything will be fair, we see the same things happening all over again.

And it makes you wonder if Calciopoli's purpose was to clear Italian football or to get rid of the powerful people so they could be replaced by new people who'll do the same things as the old guard.

I dont know why you (Interistas) are trying to magnify Juve's Calciopoli, Juve has nothing to do with your bad performance in these 2 seasons, and even among the last season before calciopoli you were so much assisted by referees even in some very crucial games like the derby when you get a funny penalty against Nesta and scored the opening goal or against Roma in 3 – 2 defeat when Roma were actually playing against you and the refe and despite this, they won!

What does Juve has to do with this? I dont know? Inter is a team that could not win the league for 16 years and among these 16 years teams like Napoli, Sampdoria, Roma, Lazio, Milan, Roma, Juventus won the Scudetto while Inter did not, were they all involved in the Calciopoli? Inter fans, management and players all has lost faith in Inter ability to win the league on the *****, and the only way was balme another factor ( the referees ) and make them responsible for you continuous failure in all front, and adding a paper Scudetto and and another one on the ***** with out true competition in fact were a must to regain the lost confidence, and who does not lose confidence after 16 years of continuous failure, believe Kariem its a matter of time before Inter starts to struggle again but till then please plaease stop talking like if you were the victims while you are stealling others.

BTW Its a matter of time before you starts to talk about Europoli and how harsh to play and lose because of the refe and may be about giving the ballon d'ore to Kaka and not to the player that deseaves it (Ibrahimvic).

Chill, he doesnt talk like they are victims, this time at least ;)

I too think its way too early for another mess in italian football, but people will be extra carefull after this week and it may quickly get worse if refs do more mistakes (the pressure is on and a mistake now wont be just a mistake...). Inter got calls even before like hany said (milan did too anyway), they were just so pathetic noone cared much about it.

There won't be one in next few years and probably in the next decade.

Honestly, i don't think all this drama as of late is due to everyone being convinsed that another "Moggi system" is happening. Apart from this last match against Parma, Inter completely deserved every point they got and the refs weren't the ones who gave them the points.
Yeah, there have been calls that favoured Inter, but those calls weren't something to make drama out of it and every single big club was getting these small favours from the refs.

My personal opinion is that everything that's happening now is just Roma, Juve and Milan putting pressure on Inter and especially on the refs. Tuttosport, Il Romanista, Corriere, papers close to Berlusconi made everyone think that Inter are the new Juve but i really doubt they are doing that because they really think so.
Inter have been playing without any presure in last 2 years. Now they have press silence and no matter how much they try they aren't robots not to be influenced by what's happening. New situation for Inter players and the hope of the other teams is that Inter will be negatively influenced by what's happening.
Referees are probably scared like hell now. After Calciopoli and many of their collegues being suspended, they will probably think not twice but 3 times now before they give a 50-50 call to Inter.

Tonight Inter were given a red card against Juventus in 8th minute. I think the plan started working :nasty:

Well, I had a bit of a feeling that the fix was in at the beggining of last season when in one of the first matches (it might have been the first match) our friendly cousins got something like five minutes of added extra time so they could tie it up. That is nothing new, since referees are only human and feel the same way about sentiment and (perhaps) a little something extra in their pocket as do all of us. But if a couple of years of local success (interesting how CL refs are so stone-hearted when it comes to sentiment) with a bunch of foreigners wearing their shirts will make up for twenty years or more of the biggest victim complex ever seen in Europe, I think we should all just shut-up and let them enjoy their time in the sun...as FIAT will be back in effect next season anyway.

Inter didnt get a single important ( IMPORTANT ) cal against them during the whole season. Both these red cards were deserved. If somone punishes you with red card you deserved it is not refereeing against you, its a normal call.

On the other hand, refs were extremly agains Juve and Milan. No doubt in here. Juve got robbed so many times, Milan too, especially in the first half of the season. Even now against Genova the refs were ridiculous.

Calls go in Inter's favour, Im sure about it tony. But the story is the same again: " the refs are only human, they make mistakes..." Like in the last 10 years, but now said by the other people. And "the saint " Collina in sitting in his chair doing...nothing.

Against us second goal was just after Cambiasso fouled i think Andrea, it happened just infront of the ref about 5 meters from him and it was obvious he pulled Andrea's shorts then he took the ball and scored
