Impossible, absolutely impossible to have this draw fixed..
I saw this forum/link the moment the draw was made and honestly I was in total shock.
I know Platini has made it clear that he doesn't like the English teams but this is a joke. Maybe he had a say in the draw that was made earlier on in the season? I don't know.

I respect your opinion hitmannq8 but the leaked fixtures came out about 10:00 am, approx 2 hours before the actual draw.
Now why did the bookies stop taking odds after the moment the fixtures got leaked?

I think certain people simply did not LIKE this draw. And they decided to cast the blame on something that did not exist.

Conspiracy throeries are often just that, theories. And beyond that two things must be explained...
-Where is the actual benefit in it for the people doing the fixing? Throwing a game is one thing but a fixer needing us to play Arsenal (only as an example) is far fetched in my opinion.
-The second thing goes back to giving credit to the people doing it. Like a political conspiracy, far too many people must be involved to make it work and it takes a lot of smarts and good fortune to keep the conspiracy (not after the fact leak) secret...its often impossible.

its a fact that somebody said he knew the draw and posted it on a forum 2 whole hours before the actual draw took place!
What were the odds on that? Something like 1/119?
I personally feel the draw was rigged, Chelsea and United get another by into the Semi's.
How can it be rigged? If it was this 4 cold ball 4 hot ball nonsense, how do you know which cold/hot ball your supposed to pick?

he dosnt know which to pick but as long as a hot ball and a cold ball go together it stops chelsea getting barca say and it stops arsenal getting man u etc
surprising isnt it that roma met man u in the cl last year the groups this year and again now in the quatrers

Do people know about the fixture before the draw? If there is any source that posts "AFC vs. LFC" and "ManUtd vs. Roma" etc. with clear cut prediction BEFORE the draw, then it's highly to be rigged because there is no way you can be ThAT accurate...

I would say anything IS possible. Serie A has had its problems, refs in America get caught fixing games, players cheat so on and so forth.

Jeff well that is exactly what happened, in the link Kaka1899 gave it clearly states which opposition will play each other and the time is 10.30.
There was a lot of this talk yesterday too, I've been hearing the initial fixtures were out yday and bookies stopped taking bets yday aswell as today.

There was a rumour that Shevchenko and Dudek had secret trainings and they trained the shot and the perfect (almost impossible) save.
This explains Sheva's miss in 120th minute of the match. If Sheva scored Milan would have won, but they fixed it Dudek to make a one in a million save and Liverpool won the CL after a shameless fixing.
But there is another thing we need to have in mind and that's : Milan-Liverpool 2:1 was also fixed. if UEFA are fixing the CL draw and the CL finals then everything is fixed and Milan's success in last 5 years was maybe fixed by UEFA.

^ the evil juventino speaks truth. Istanbul NEVER went down well with me. As much as I love Milan we should love the truth more than anything else.........On the whole I have a suspicion (not a belief simply a suspicion that I always try to keep suppressed) look at recent footballing results....the are always tending to be towards an economic giant or the under dog getting the result:
Greece (beating spain, portugal etc etc )
Brazil's winning WC 2002 had enormous financial repurcussions....yet an EVEN STRONGER TEAM MAGICALLY SUFFERS FROM UNMOTIVATED PLAYERS and gets beat by FRANCE (Again...I mean it's the result that almost everyone thought would have never happened)

England had the easiest Group by far no GErmany,Italy,Spain,France,Holland,Portugal to bother them and they still mess up from there own doing
could England have drawn the "easier teams" as a almost certain way of qualifacation?
Look at Italy drawing France,Ukraine and the upstarts that were scotland taking us all the way for us then to re draw France,Holland and Romania (who won there group)?
now look at the CL draw the english sides getting the better of the draws

there is only the all english tie that goes against it but then again that would have ment

or vice versa, but that would have looked too dodgy as well Chelsea gaining Barca again with Man u getting roma again! and then Arsenal getting almost a free ticket through, they had to put the all english tie in there to take away suspicion i feel.

I don't know what to say about this draws....everyone know that FIFA and UEFA are corupted and that many matches, not only club even NT matches are fixed..but we can't do nothing...they are destroying football...
Let me ask you this. If a football match is fixed do you enjoy it less?
Actually, there are 2 possibilities with what we are supposed to know (normally, all is controlled, there are jurists, the balls are exactly the same, etc):
- they lie, there is something different on the balls or other things allowing to fix the draw ... that could explain why Italy and France play each other in Euro again (Netherlands and Romania, and there is another Euro group with teams having played each other in the qualifying turn), why we had Chelsea-Barça games, AS Roma-MU now, etc. The goal would just be to build good "feuds" between these clubs to make more and more money.
- the other possibility is simple: they don't lie, it's a totally random draw. Each team gets a probability being 1/7 to play against any of the other teams
Probability example: Roma plays again - MU (1/7), Chelsea (1/7), Arsenal (1/7), Fenerbahçe (1/7), Schalke 04 (1/7), Barcelona (1/7) and Liverpool (1/7). So it's totally random in this way.
From my point of view, the best draw allowing UEFA to get the most money would have been:
Schalke 04-MU vs AS Roma-Fenerbahçe (the goal would be to have AS Roma and MU qualified to have a "big match")
Chelsea-Barça vs Liverpool-Arsenal (you're sure to have 3 matchs with rivals playing each other, no matter the teams qualifying for the semi-finals)

Roma lost against MU. what a pitty for Italian football i guess. the big teams were beaten in their home. Milan, Merda, and the last was Roma. goal from C.Ronaldo and Rooney made the only Italian left might have difficult to comeback considering they'll play the 2nd leg in Old Trafford.
but Barcelona still have the possibility to going to the next round with one goal by young gun, Bojan :) the goal was a brilliant assist by Henry. and tonight will the battle between Arsenal vs Loserpool in Emirates. Arsenal has good record in CL at their home against Loserpool by won 41 times and tied 29 times while Loserpool won 24 times.
