im not sure if they will go to america, the players are prob preparing for the world cup. Didnt Man U turn down betandwin.com as a sponcer the other week?

If the sponsor will be betandwin.com the shirts will look like the attached image, its not my work, its pa7uel's.

BTW Giovanni, do you know for sure if Milan is coming to the states again? I went last year and it was unforgettable, especially the trainin session. Standing in 15 cms of rainwater just to get close to the Milan players and get a few autographs!

IT'S OFFICIAL BETANDWIN.COM WILL BE OUR SPONSOR. WE WUDN'T HAVE SISNED THEM UNLESS THEY PAID US SH!T LOAD OF MONEY. HERE IS THE CONFIRMATION:

It's a lot of money compared to Opel's deal - 15 mil - but still can't believe that there weren't any more reputable companies than them. Now we are equal to what Real M is getting from their deal with BenQ but still behind Juve's deal with Tamoil or whatever that name was. Still, I would rather see a betting company on our shirts than regimist oil company's logo.
I guess, in the end of the day, it's all about money, it always is :(

i think we got screwed on the sponsors. Aswell as playing in front of about 60,000 more people than Juve at home, we have been able to guarantee international coverage because we have made the last 8 or better in the last 4 CLs. I personally think we should be making more than any team in the world.

Having a website on our shirt looks tacky in my opinion, I certainly won't be buying one.

Graeme C

if its just bet and win without the .com it looks ok...

rahul.acm
19-04-2006, 10:31
Yeah its a very cheap sponsor! It won't look good on our stylish jersey. we shud get loads of money from them, more than that of juve...I'm not sure what will be Maldini's reaction. Opel looked classy but the time has come for a change. ok its 10mn pounds a year for 4 years! WTF zebras get 15 mn pounds!! sh!t we shud have got a better one. coz betandwin is gonna bring our image down as well the amount ain't that big!

mk18
19-04-2006, 11:51
i think it can look cool with their black and yellow colours on our shirt...

im buying the shirt no matter what... i dont care whos name is on it, atleast i know that at the end of the day the money goes to milan

SANT
19-04-2006, 14:00
it is now listed on www.acmilan.com

so we will have to live with it for at least 4 years... I don't see anything wrong with having betandwin on the jersey...

I liked having Opel (Chevrolet) but I also liked Mediolanum during the Sacchi days... so it's time to move on...

I think betandwin looks good on our shirts without the ".com" part ofcourse and they'll give us more money so i think it's a good deal

devoted_dm
19-04-2006, 14:33
I think this is cool. They'll probably make the betandwin logo look nice on our shirts, and anyway I hope this can be the sign of a new era starting at Milan, a changing of the old guards, so to speak. New and younger players, new shirt sponsor.

SANT
19-04-2006, 14:35
we will probably have to wear the .com

it is part of the logo...

K77SH_C, in that case, you have a good reason for your decision... but you can always find the shirts without the sponsor... I have not seen Milan's in a while, but other teams offer with and without sponsor, specially when the new shirt is just being introduced...

rahul.acm
19-04-2006, 14:47
I think we did not consider the deal with religious, moral and ethical perspectives. Also we are not getting gr8 deal of money too, its just 10 mn pound for 1 year ie, 40mn pounds in all!

zebras get 15 mn pounds. man u are planning to set a new record for the highest amt of sponsorship money. really, with our uefa rankings and amount of time we are on tv, we should be be getting lot more! also i dont think betandwin.com will do any good to our image!

devoted_dm
19-04-2006, 14:56
True, Juve are getting more money from their sponsorship deal than us. But from what I remember, our income was higher than theirs last season, and we also have a very rich man investing a lot of money in the club. We are richer than Juve even with their new sponsorship deal, no doubt about it.

We get more Money in the fan attendance as their stadium remain empty most time and even less that 20 000 attedance in Champion league group matchs. Milan also have the owner who is the richest in Italy. But then Juve spend more compare Milan almost every season.

I dont think those shirts are original, the sponsor wouldnt pay that much money and allow shirts with out their name on to be sold. I suppose I could always get an old shirt wih motta or medilanum(spelling?) on. They look pretty cool.

If you are thinking about transfers, then we spent more than they did last summer. At least according to this statistic I saw a while ago.

I understand that some people are anti-gambling, but i would buy the shirt no matter who our sponsor is. Nothing gets in the way of my love for the club. Until we sign a sponsorship deal with Al Qaeda, i will be buying as usual

guys, I was thinking about Milan uniforms...

the 3rd uniform is almost never used by Milan... there are teams like Roma, who use like 5 different kits in the season, like 3 of them in serie A, but different styles for Coppa Italia and European competitions (Uefa or Champions).

The silver shirt from 3 seasons ago was used 1 time in serie A (visiting Reggina?)

The golden shirt from last year was used only 1 time (in a friendly, preseason)

Our white away uniform (supposed to be the lucky one) has been used in several ugly loses, like Istambul or Barcelona, Supercopa, Intercontinental... I think we should let that plain, all white, REAL MADRID cursed style uniform, like Arsenal did to their BRIGHT RED, WHITE SLEEVES shirt... and see their results ;)

Besides that ugly Yellow Shirt worn in a UEFA cup (I think) in the mid 90's, I don't remember Milan using a uniform that was not RED, BLACK, WHITE based...

I'd like to see a different one... is there an old uniform (retro) we can bring back?

And I have a suggestion, and I know we have some members who are good drawing and designing (attention Pa7uel, hehe)

Since our logo is RED/BLACK stripes on the left side of the emblem... and the other half is a RED CROSS (like England's flag) why don't we use that?

Something like the Parma traditional jersey (from this year too) only not centered but to the side... and just so we don't look like RED CROSS Utd., we could have like black sleeves, or a black line running on the side...

That, with white shorts, socks and shoes would look elegant, I think.

Warro Bantan
01-05-2006, 09:01
You kno SANT, I have had similar thoughts along those lines for some time now...and yes, a change to the shirts that we wore for our centennary year would be something I could go for, with a lace (shoe lace, not victorian lace) :D instead of a button up collar....really retro!

And the cross is a good idea as well...off centre...just have to decide on the background colour...ie white, black or red...hmmmm

SANT
01-05-2006, 11:45
it would still have to be predominently white, as the purpose is to make it different from the dark shirt our rival could be wearing... we couldn't wear a black kit to go play against Barcelona, or Reggina, etc.

Pa7uel and I are drawing an example... will post here soon...

1.- did anyone think it reminds of the Juve red jersery?

2.- would the horizontal line of the shirt make the players look wider (fat)?

This pic by MadeMashin is the same as the one used at the start of this thread...again..there is no proof, and it looks very much like one from the late 90s, early 2Ks...(Actually, its not at the start of this thread, but in one of the threads here at MM...saw it somewhere else, cant remember where exactly)

At this point, its a pic of a Milan top, in a store. Nothing more. (IMO)

Plus, I am still hoping that Galliani, Berlu, and Adidas decide to use SANT and Payuel´s(spelling?) design...for the away kit at any rate...It rocks

And why not use the same kit this year for the home jersey? Its quite nice, and even though we prob wont win anything in it, I think I will still get it.

SANT
08-05-2006, 17:51
you know what? that maybe not be a crazy idea... I mean, I like fashion but I have no clue about design... Patu is studying graphic design, so is better putting the ideas on paper, but for instance, Italy's WC clothing is being designed by Neil Barrett (for Puma)

wouldn't it be nice to have (maybe not necesarily Armani, or D&G) someone like that do our kits... if they already do the travel wardrobe...

I don't like when uniforms designed by a firm (in this case Adidas) are al generic, then just made in the colors of each team (like all Nike teams using those horrible 2 tone socks)

Nice pics pa7uel and SANT! Your designs kinda remind me of an England shirt, and also of Parma's shirts. Also, having 'desgner' shirts would be interesting, and maybe quite unique.
At the moment, as perhaps others are, I'm unsure who to get on the back of next season's shirt - Kaka or Inzaghi (I already have Sheva and Maldini for the last two)?

Oh boy, those white lines are really hideous!! Take that shirt and add the "bet and win" logo, and we've got one ugly shirt. I too hope this is not our shirt for next year, but the design theme does look very similar to the current adidas world cup theme, i.e. compare this to the argentina home jersey---they're quite similar. Yeah, and i also hope that we start using our 3rd kit more often. I have a nice collection of Gold and Black shirts from the last couple of seasons, which I havent had the privilege of seeing our team wear--except in the damn TIM trophy of course!! :)

I just hate their sponser "bwin" on Milan's front. This betting , I feel, is casts a bad image for Milan society. Word is that it's going to change soon, and Audi will be next.

I got this info from my brother, who is a true Milan fan too.
Did anyone hear about this?
(Sorry-I don't mean to start rumors...)

Audi is now Milan's sponsor... we couldn't have Opel and Audi at the same time since they compete in the same industry... but my understanding is that Betandwin (BWIN) acquired the right to sponsor the jersey for 4 years...

I was talking about the design itself... let me find you guys the links...

Well, I'm not really an expert ...
I bought my shirt a while ago, so I can't exactly remember the seller. Unfortunately none of my favourite sellers are selling these shirts at the moment. I ordered mine from Asia, was £18/$35 including p&p.
I found a couple you may like which are from Thailand and end soon - 1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/New-AC-MILAN-Home-Soccer-Jersey-06-07-3-MALDINI-Cal-XL_W0QQitemZ190076030634QQihZ009QQcategoryZ137007QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item190076030634) + 2 (http://cgi.ebay.com/New-AC-MILAN-Home-Soccer-Jersey-06-07-3-MALDINI-Cal-XL_W0QQitemZ190076862238QQihZ009QQcategoryZ137007QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item190076862238) .
They usually take a couple of weeks to arrive, but are real/good quality. Sometimes the seller doesn't respond to questions, or take ages to to respond.
You could wait a while for new items to be listed, sometimes I've seen the shirt and shorts are sold together. Or wait for the 07/08 kit!

the thing is with all these new shirts is Adidas,Nike,Puma and Lotto all have a set design for that season and then adapt it for each club colours if you look at Palermo's shirt and Ukraine's shirt made by Lotto, Look at Tottenham's,Switzerlands,Ghana, italys shirts same design different colours made by Puma look at Chelsea, Liverpool,Milan,Bayern same shirts different design again and it goes on no club as any identity anymore whn it comes to kits there all the same just different colours.

There is very little individuality in strip design these days. Its just the same designs in different colours as kaka1899 says.It seems the only clubs who have different designs are the clubs who have very different and traditional strips like Brescia.I do also like the Udinese design which is a little bit different.Of course the best for me is FC Fossombrone.I would just like to see a bit more variety but of course that wont happen. We willlikely have the sme design as Newcastle,Argentina and other Adidas striped teams!
Im afraid its all about money.Im not sure Lotto would be able to promote the gear in the way Milan would like it promoted.Probably only Adidas,Nike and Puma could do that so we are stuck with one of the big three i think.

Two shirts two different teams same design just changing the colours around.

Nike has got a white colar this season Man U ahs got it as have Inter and Southend! just stripes for Inter

We have got the same colar and design apart from our red and black stripes take away the stripes its like Liverpools

Puma have got the coulered stripe across the back Italys is blue,Switzerlands is white, Tottenhams is blue and ghanas is green just a slight coulour change for Puma but its the same design and thats what i am tryin to say as long as we have a manufacturer it wont matter it will be that seasons style apart from it will be adapted for us by having Red and Black stripes on it.

i guess part of it is sponsorship details, if the clubs don't know 100% who their sponsors might be next season or if the sponsors want a slightly bigger/different logo on the shirt ... it all has to be corrected before they can be produced.

Some clubs are always later in releasing their kits.

and liverpool have not lost to a team wearing white in the final. they maintained that record in 2005 when we chose to play in white.

but i dont think the colour of the shirt will matter in this final. i think all our players will just want it more.

yellow - as worn in the 1995 European Super Cup victory against Arsenal :)

The worst away kit was the all blue kit (Baggio era) and the second worst was the all red away kit.

If we win the UCL, maybe Gold? Or maybe it should be a special commemorative shirt with 7 trophies, or just be like one of our special (heritage/cententary) shirts. Thats what Liverpool did last time ...
I don't mind black that much, except that we hardly wear our third kit (and find it a bit pointless).

Nammy, could you imagine Seedorf in GOLD? Methinks it'll clash horribly with his delicate skin tones. :grinser: Or did you mean the Gold/Bronze-ish kit we once wore in...2004 was it?

I'm a fan of the black kits, because I think we look really cool and dangerous in them. And what about that gray kit, which was the official 3rd jersey for the 03-04 season?

Yeah, or we could try Silver. I'm sure Seedorf wouldn't mind though. Pity this thread has gone a bit off topic ...

When people are saying 'gold, silver or bronze' for shirts, are you on about the actual shiny materials or flat colours? What i mean to say is, are you expecting to see a whole shirt in the shiny material that we had our gold name/numbers in?

Wouldn't it seem a little arrogant to have a whole gold shirt? Though thinking about a deep gold shirt with black name/numbers ... black trim, etc ... does seem quite cool.

Jim_UK
06-05-2007, 05:35
i had a quick go at a gold shirt for the third kit, but it's not very good ... gold is one of the hardest colours to replicate because of its illuminosity.

On a side note, i saw the new shirt Werder Bremen (i think it was them at least) and it had 'WeWin' as the sponsor. It was in the same font as our 'bwin' so i presume it's part of the same company. You don't think ours will become the same do you? 'WeWin' would be even worse than 'bwin'.

NAMMY
06-05-2007, 05:56
Those pics are okay, and I'm pretty sure we'll have 'Bwin' again. I was thinking of a completely gold shirt, though just shiny highlights would be cool.

true, the contract expires after next season (I mentioned that previously in this thread)... I like the brand, it's just some of their designs that I don't like...

If that is...then I don't have a problem with it. I like the Milan crest in the center like that.

Milan seem to be sensitive about any HUGE OVERHAULS in the design. The stripes are tradition, very strong tradition. And even though vertical lines are slimming, it's not fashionable enough for a girl to wear frequently...hey, I love the team and the colours, but I can't deny the strange looks I get when I'm repping my stripes on the subway. Maybe it's jealousy. Ah, well it's all part of the experience. :D

The away jersey of 05 was simple and nice. Adidas can take a cue from that:

Don't bother posting the 3rd jersey. None of them are real, and these same shirts have appeared on eBay. Why would it be released for the first time in Denmark if it's an Italian team jersey?

Unless they're officially unveiled to the public by Adidas or Milan, any shirt appearing beforehand is bogus.

Doesn't matter. The actual jerseys for next season are not going to be prematurely floating around on eBay before being modeled by the team and then officially hitting the market.

It's like selling a CD or book in stores before the official release date, which is a HUGE no-no in the book/multimedia retail industry. I'd think the same would apply here.
