Hi guys, this 22nd of May i'm off with a friend of mine to Goteborg (Sweden) for a five days trip. We'll visit a friend of us who's there for a university exchange programme.

I'd like to ask our Swedish friends on here if they have any sort of tips about what to do there, general infos, costs for living, and climate by the end of May. I'm sure my friend there will know, but i'd like to hear your opinion.

I've already booked a session at the solarium LOL
No seriously, i'm naturally midly dark, but losing this studentish paleness wouldn't be bad at all. :sun:

Pictures for sure, i must buy a new camera. I lost my other one after the Derby Milan- Inter of the last season.

Currently we have full summer weather in southern Sweden with 20+ degrees. There is no real reason it shouldn't be as warm then, but you never know. With some unluck you can get around 15 instead.

Gothenburg is my favourite city in Sweden for taking a stroll, is a nice summer city. As for what to do there and what nightclubs to find, I am sure your friend have more information than me about that. I have not been out there since like 8 years ago.

Costs for living isn't the most pleasant thing ;) unless you have some nice alternative to a regular hotel or don't care about spending some money.

My younger sister goes out there sometimes, but I am not worried since I know you are a man of god that lives in celibacy. :w221:

Have fun Gio!

I will lodge at my friend's. We take an inflatable bed from Italy LOL, and put it into the luggage LOL.
:dcool:
So, more financies for the spare time.

I'm sure you're sister would be in pretty good hands with me :horny: and of course she could undertake a spiritual conversion under the guide of Padre Gio. :dcool:

Hello guys, i came back yesterday.
Well, i have to say Sweden is a very nice place. It's a clean, safe, and well organised country. Everyone is very polite. You can ask people an info and everyone is willing to help.
One thing i noticed is how relaxed is the people. In Italy everything is rushed, we have cars everywhere and people is always screaming LOL. In Sweden everything is so polished (?correct word?) and relaxed.
Sweden is a safe place: i guess the worst crime committed in the days we were there is someone who stole an apple at the supermarket :D .

The girls are amazing. I mean, Sweden must have the highest birds per meter ratio in the world. Unluckily they won't pay much attention to anyone, if not for a quick sight.

I've attended a few parties: the first one on thursday, in a nice club were they alternate disco and live music (mainly rock..not my cup of tea but it was cool ); on Friday we attended a barbecue open air party with all the foreign students of the University lodges. And on Sat we went to a sort of rave party in the forest, but this was a Swedish rave party, so there were no drugs or badarses (thank God for that), but only birds everywhere and at worst a few alcoholics. In this last party i took the art of queue jumping to the naive country of Swedes :D . When the beer arrived in late night, all the guys queued up to get one...while i passed from the jungle to arrive right in front of the desk :sun: . Luckily there was few light and noone noticed. :D

I've attended the game Sweden- Slovenia at Ullevi stadium. Around the stadium, there was a beer party with all beers and food for free. I couldn't believe everything was gratis! I even got my face painted with their blue and yellow flag by a nice girl, all this for free. I think in Italy you pay even for the air you breathe. :sun:

Goteborg is a sea city, but just outside the metropolitan area, you find amazing nature. We went to a lake inside a big park, and at one moment we were just in the middle of a golf tournament. We stopped there, because our track crossed the golf pitch. There was this guy who was preparing his strike for a good 10 minutes. A girl gave us a sign (that we misunderstood) and we went on to cross the pitch, but the strike wasn't over, so the player had to wait us crossing the pitch and then strike. He choked it and we disappeared :uhm:

But after having a go at my country and saying how Sweden was cool, i must also point out that my dna commands living in the noise and perennial disorganisation of Italy. Without the good old queue jumping i would be lost :D .

Let's just say that you didn't try hard enough... otherwise it'd be like admiting that you're losing the charm. :bri:
