View Full Version : Nice Restaurants and/or owned by players?! in Milan?!
Well ive been to milan loads of times but previously with my parents who used to bring me when i was younger and then more recently with the lads ... This time im bringing my girlfriend to the derby and staying in milan for four nights probably go to lake como for a day too! Anyway so instead of eating in first nice looking restaurant we see when hungry like i did previously want to bring her to somewhere extra nice one of the night anyway! Any suggestions?! Also does anyone know what restaurants/bars/clubs are owned by milan players as would like to give them a bit of 'business' and maybe bump into one of them! Was in club hollywood when the players were there in May 2004 last time we won the scudetto but they were in private section!

I used to think that Rinho and Brochi owned a restaurant, but the article says that they own a night club together with Abbiati.
Thanks for that! Anyone else any info please?!
Brocchi and Bobo Vieri do own a restaurant together... they're great friends... part of the reason they were both wearing #32 for a few years...
Kaladze's restaurant is also famous, but I can't remember it's name...

Thanks for that! :5ok:
brochi and vieri are not anymore milan players :P
Does Maldini still own or co-own the night club Lollapalooza? (I think I messed up the spelling!)
And does he co-own Hollywood still?
The only thing Maldini owns is an undeserved spot in our starting line-up and an overrated love in the hearts of the unpassionate Milanistas.

I'm not insulting him. I totally respect Maldini the legend who gave us 20+ consistent years and lead our team to a lot of glory. But I have 2 things against him:
1- If he really loved Milan he should have retired long ago. He has an undeserved guaranteed starting spot, and he costs at a lot of games. Also if he really cares he wouldn't have made Milan a retirement home for most of the players by setting an example and retiring after he gave all what he got.
2- I hate those girlie fans or whoever the hell who knows nothing about Milan nor football and they just go "Maldini rocks!" everywhere.
That was totally rude and uncalled for.

I take it you dont agree with the menu in his restaurant then.:diablo:
My favourite restaurant in Milan (in fact anywhere) is the Azurri Grill, which is about 5 minutes walk from Corso Buenos Aires, unfortunately I can't recall the exact location. It's been 7 or 8 years since I've been there but it was very basic, very busy, full of charachter, friendly and helpful owners and staff, and you got a great feed. We always made a point of going there, at least once, every time we went to Milan. Don't think it was owned by any players though.
If you get the chance it's well worth a visit.

I don't know Milanese restaurants, but if anyone is going to spend some time in the fashion capital, i suggest you to make a day trip to my region, Piedmont, in the souther territories of Cuneo and Langhe area. These places are just 1 h far from Milan.
The countriside is quite similar to Tuscany, with many medieval small towns on top of the hills, which are actually nice to have a walk and visit after lunch. This is one of the many culinary capitals in Italy (actually noone can claim to be the first). There are dozens of restaurants and small trattorie, and those old towns produce some of the best wines in the world, such as Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto.
The worldwide association "Slow Food" started here, and almost all the restaurants are under their rule (freshness, quality, products of the territory).
Be only aware of prices: some restaurants left the familiary administration and got more glamourised, but there are still many gems where you pay few money for great quality.

I can't believe that Debs didn't ban you for what rubbish things you said about the best ACM player apart from Kaka in the present squad :w209:

Oh don't worry, his comment didn't go unnoticed, nor has he ecaped our attention. Hoefully the same kindness will be uttered aobut the Beckham fans who show up.

If I should be banned for saying rubbish, then you should be sent to jail for your posts since your R&B forum days.

Late reply but my girlfriend and i had dinner there the night after the derby! Apparently Silivio went there the night of the derby for a late night dinner! Anyway was very nice and would recommend it! We made a reservation through our hotel which is advisable!
