Dear Milanmania users,

I'd like to apologise to all of you for my over-the-top posts about Gilardino. Yes I still can't stand him and am glad that he's no longer one of us but I've probably grown up a bit since my hate-posts. Gila was rubbish no doubt but not everything he did was bad, in retrospect. Also if we still had him today I'm sure our team would have been in a MUCH better condition. People used to post at length about his intangible contributions, his knock downs and involvement in the buildup play. By and large I neglected/ignored these because I stubbornly held to the view that he was an out-and-out striker and the fact that he seemed to refuse to apply himself and integrate himself to the roles required by the team upset me deeply. However, in retrospect and without the clouds of red and black emotion to blur my vision I see now just how valuable he could have been to us....especially if placed alongside Pato.

I have come to this realization after tirelessly defending Clarence Seedorf from many fans who seem to wish him ill :dontkn: After all that Clarence has done for us I find it extremely ungrateful that fans would turn on him this way. I fully acknowledge that he has been s**t ...but that is no reason to relentlessly spew personal insults at him....Then I realized that I was doing something quite similar wrt Gila. And for that I apologise...not only for degrading our player but also for being a nuisance.

Glad to see one of the "worst" (I mean, most active lol) Gila haters :D apologising about that ... without joking, you just showed maturity there dru !! ^^

I don't remember how many times I tried to defend Gila after your posts and the ones of Mrki ...

Let's hope that the Seedorf, Carlo, Galliani and other players haters will mature soon ... there is a line between criticising sometimes and hating (by criticising a player even when he plays well for example) and this line shouldn't be crossed.

I honestly don't know if you have to apologize at all. It's just a different matter of opinion, even though there is always a better way to express a voice unheard.

Now, what really brings you back here? Reveal your true motive lol...

Nothing really. It's just i find myself defending clarence seedorf a lot at r&b. And it's not so much that i'm a fan of the guy. It's more out of concern for the level of disrespect for a guy who has given and sacrificed so much for milan. But if i'm brutally honest i was just as bad re gila. I mean it's slightly different and gila never gave as much as clarence and all but the principle remains. I guess i'm paying for my deeds. I think this is what you were trying to tell me Jeff. But at the time being a new milan fan and all i was a bit too passionate and not nearly reasonable enough so most of my apology goes to you. (Although you were VERY rough/arrogant with me...Had to say that  Hey i wasn't all bad :D )

Yes i agree. Make no mistake. I still think that he's $#!t but he isn't absolutely the "useless cowardly giant" that i portrayed him as. I dare say that we'd have done a lot better if he was here because he was the only thing resembling an aerial threat we had. Because of him kaka really had more space and the difference is all too clear this season. Despite his being a horribly crap striker, he was very useful...sad thing is that alongside ronaldo/pato he would have been even more prolific. Getting Dzeko to me is getting him all over again...but this time we'll be more appreciative

for the bold part, nope; I wasn't really thinking along that line, but it's important to be consistent.

I'm not sure arrogant is the right word; but yes I'm rough with people. In fact, I think it's not 'rough', it's 'tough'. I don't think I let go of potentially disorganized opinion easily. But now I have become a lot more lenient and am ready to listen.

For example, I am quite convinced that Carlo should just go; but some are asking him to leave for the sake of leaving, but doing that is not going to help Milan. Anyway, that's another topic then...
