Whilst not his biggest fan I did love his music and know them all pretty much. My childhood was all about Michael Jackson back in the 80s and you simply couldn't get away from him in those days. Despite his many controversies, the reaction he's had after his death shows how many people his music touched.
May a very troubled man, but a genius musician and entertainer whose music may well have touched billions rest in peace.

This is one of those times where you can honestly say the individual is in a much better place now. Clearly someone with psychological problems left unchecked for far too long. Hopefully he'll find the peace in death that he couldn't find in life.

Yes, he had talent. Yes, a lot of people loved his music and were influenced by him. But, he became a pathetically self-absorbed and tragically flawed character. Weird is not an inappropriate adjective to describe him. And he became "weirder and weirder", if I can take liberty with proper English. An attractive black man in his youth who became a plastic-faced white man who did everything to look like a white woman. Loved to hang out and sleep in the same bed with young boys. Married woman simply to have his own kids. Hung those kids out of windows, waving them around to papparazi stories below.
I feel for those 3 children of his who had to put up with a very weird "daddy". I feel for how they have been affected and probably will continue to be affected for the rest of their lives.

No one Rests In Peace...there is just oblivion...no happiness in a better place...no soul to go there and be with a nonexistent god. Whatever happiness he had, Jacko's happiness was here and here only.
Live life to the fullest....tell the people you love that you love them everyday...do good...be good to others...be patient and tolerant with others....treat others with respect and kindness as you would have them treat you....BECAUSE THIS IS IT ,MAN....nothing beyond. No hell. No St. Peter at the pearly gates. No 40 virgins waiting for you.

I always felt sorry for Michael. He was an odd character, without a doubt, but he was the victim of a physically and mentally abusive father who pushed him beyond any reason and robbed him of having a childhood of his own. I've always believed that the reason he acted in such a childlike manner and always loved being around children was because he reverted into a second childhood as a substitute for the childhood he never had.
As for his skin color and his plastic surgery, he was a victim of a disease known as vitiligo, a skin disorder characterized by permanent white spots on different parts of the body. He had the surgeries to cover up the effects of the disease and that's how he ended up looking like he did. I don't know if you're old enough to remember, but for a long time Michael always wore a glove on just one hand. People thought is was some sort of fashion statement, but the fact is that vitiligo usually starts out as white patches on the hand or around the eyes. It seems perfectly logical, in retrospect, that he would wear a glove to cover up those first signs of the disease.
Anyway, I was really sad about what happened to him. Despite all the fame and fortune, he lived a very difficult life. At least now he's found the peace he never had in life. It's just a shame it happened just as he was preparing to get back in the saddle again with all those sold out shows in London. He'll always be remembered as one of the true giants of the music industry.
:(
This song explains so much about him
People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things...
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I've never known...
Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I've had

Although I'm an atheist, in moments like this I wish that I'm wrong, and that there is a better place for him...
He was my music idol for a long time, and I was looking forward to his comeback. I saw a story on CNN, that he told his friends, after the last rehersal "I'm gonna conquer the world again" :(
Absolute musical genious, he was brilliant! Always admired his talent and his music. His singing and the way he performed in concerts. Aldough he never was on the top of my music list as I prefered classic rock, but he is absolutely brilliant.

Reconsidering my earlier remarks. They seem harsh...insensitive. He WAS a brilliant artist. Wish he could have pulled himself together, come back and done those concerts in England. Wish he had had his childhood like any other kid and not been abused. I am an atheist but I wish there was a better, happier place for him to go. So much achieved...but so much promise not fulfilled. Tragic. He did leave a lot of himself in music that will never be forgotten.
I remember I used to watch a Cassatt of MJ's videos in the early 90's. Now I know it was the B;ack and White video with that black panther dance etc. After that I never saw any other video of MJ. Some times I wonder why he was so famous. Few months back after his sudden death, the collection of MJ's best songs was shown on Fox History Channel and after watching them I was very very upset about his death :wow: He truly is the best entertainer. I am not a music/dance expert, but one thing I know now that MJ was different from the other and I doubt if anyone could do thing like him again. The more I see his videos, the more I feel for him. In my opinion, he wasn't treated rightly by the media :stress:
Plus I feel that he should have never done that terrible surgery to change his skin color. He looked much better in is original color. That 'Thriller' video is out of this world and MJ truly ROCKS! :devs:
