Fifa 09: Love it
Think that Pato (79) is underrated compared ot the vastly unproven Balotelli (at the start of the season)......
Suprisingly, Mertesacker is the highest rated CB at 87..... and we were linked with him!
As for some of my purchases through manager mode, many of my signings were the same as Arsene Wegner's, like young talent Barazite. Only I bought him for Milam b4 he did for Arsenal in real life lol!
Expect to see Abbiatti and Pato rated much higher next season, but Dihno to go down a bit....
The guys that make FIFA games can't rate players if their life depended on it. LOL at Mertesacker being highest rated CB, a player that don't even start for his club.
I think they are fairly accurate, but the main fault is that almost every decent young polayer can develop into a superstar! Pato once went to 98 (out of 100)!

yea i think it's disrespectful almost that pato is a 78 im like wtf?! lol, but atleast nesta is a 88 and zambrotta a 83, what i hate is that unless you make gattuso drop back in the back midfield hes a 83, when we will know he can play the wings with no problems.
I love Fifa 09 !
Formerly with Milan :)
Now, I play with Tottenham.
Sergio Asenjo (from Valladoid in La liga)
Corluka(RB)---Caceres---King---Bale(LB)
C.Ronaldo(RW)---Huddlestone(CM)---Turan(LM)(from Turk leaugue)
----------Modric(CAM)-------
-----Dos Santos(CF)-------
-------------Cardozo(ST)----(from Porto i believe)
Cardozo my 6'4 targetman, maybe Milan should get him ! :1d31:
I just eliminated Barcelona from CL. Onto the semi final, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid and me are left !
FOr me, Fifa 09 is too easyyyyyyyyy!
Also, in MGT mode, basicallt no other team buys players besides yourself..... If I join a smaller team and finally get the prestige to join mIlan, they still have their old players like Favalli and acquired no one! Seems like the real Milan!

No they are not. I seen how Maradona was a expert header of the ball. Some really slow players are really quick. soem are great just because they play in a great team and some are worthless just because they play in a bad team. At least they have got better over the years. FIFA games just some years back was horrible when it came to this.

Anyway, it's the same problem in PES ... but I think they try to fix these mistakes (Konami and EA Sports) to make their games more realistic.
PS: Did you never notice in PES that bad teams have only slow players ?!

OR how all ENGLISH players are SPEED DEMON.
The funny thing is that when I play PES in the ARCADE, the pace of the game is extremely slow and it is actually a lot of fun than playing on PS3.
Which one this year guys. PES or FIFA.... I have a Wii and might try out Pes?!
Any thoughts

IF you have WII, I have no clue as I don't know how the controlling will be like.
Personally, PES is still much better than FIFA in terms of gameplay, realism(not the stats of players, but the actual play-like dribbling, ball bouncing off players...), development and just better.
FIFA is only good b/c they got license for almost all the teams around the world.

I will be eagerly checking the reviews, and won't mind sacrificing licanrse relaism if PES is superior......

I disagree, I found FIFA to be a better simulation of football this time around (comparing the 2009 versions). PES was a favourite of mine over the last decade, but ultimately it's not made a good jump to the new generation of consoles.
I am hoping it gets better, bcs CHampions League mode and " BE A legend" ON pES is worth lack of licenses!

FIFA has it's equivalents of those modes. If I remember rightly the last PES had the official CL license, but besides that there was no difference.
Be a Legend in PES09 is horrible ... I don't have any pleasure to play it.
I can compare both PES09 and FIFA09 on PC as I have both of them on my other computer. I still play to PES, whereas I haven't played for months to FIFA09.
But if I'm not wrong, FIFA09 improved a lot on PS3 and XBox360, but not on computers ... whereas PES almost didn't improve on PS3/XBox360 but improved a little on computer ...

I think when it comes to PS3 and Xbox360, games tend to dazzle you with its graphics instead of gameplay itself.
That Be a Legend thing is something that I did not even play or start at all.
Master League is still awesome, and the CL part will only last about two games. As it will be cool in the beginning with the music....but after awhile, it is just the same.
What I don't like about PES is how all players tend to run instead of holding their positions esp in defense, where other computer control teams tend to know to hold defensive duties. On top of that, I hate it when players like Oddo, Kala, Seedorf and Emerson actually are good players, they actually run in the games, where as Maldini will need subbing at 60mins b/c of no energy.
But graphics are far better on computers you know ... I mean, if your computer allows you to use all graphical options in a good resolution, then there is no comparison possible.
And more important ... it is so easy to update the shirts, etc on computers !! :D
(even if it tends to be the same on consoles ... but aren't consoles becoming small computers nowadays, except for Nintendo ?)
I don't like the Master League actually ...
I have made up my mind: Pes for my Wii and Fifa 10 for my PSP!
HEre is new feautures for FIFA-
Manager Mode
The Manager Mode for FIFA 10 has been revamped and has had a multitude of issues and criticisms addressed according to EA Sports; 50 key improvements in total. Among these improvements are:
The transfer system will be more authentic, as money is not the monopolizing factor in acquiring a player. The acceptance of the offer will be based on factors such as the number of players in your squad in the same position, and the promise of European competition outside the domestic league. Furthermore, obtaining a player will be more realistically prolonged as the manager must deal with competition for the player by other clubs. Also, now one can submit bids in for several different players, and if the club accepts, then you as the manager has the choice of approving the transfer. So for instance if bids for three different strikers were submitted, and you only needed one, if the clubs of those three players accept the offers, you have the choice of choosing which of the players you actually want to have.
The financial matters in the game will be based less on a team sponsor and primarily on the board of directors, who will provide two overall budgets: Wage budget (the amount of money provided every year for paying players) and Club budget (the money associated with buying and selling players as well as team improvements).
There will be a Board Difficulty setting, in which players can decide how "generous" the board is financially.
The Player Experience and Growth System has also dramatically changed. The manual XP growth from FIFA 08 and FIFA 09 have been abolished; player growth will now be determined by in-game performance, demands placed on the player, and achievements based on the player's particular position. There will also be three categories for gaining experience: Mental XP, Physical XP, and Skill XP. Younger players with higher potential will gain XP much faster (especially in Physical XP) and each player will have an individual growth point, which in turn promises more authentic gameplay.
Results for simulated non-user matches will be more heavily based on team strength and not appear as "random" as has been the case in the past. This will result in more realism and eliminate instances from the previous title where stronger clubs were fighting relegation and clubs with weaker players were winning the league.
Pre-season friendlies will be introduced to the next-gen versions of the game, which will be organized by the club's assistant manager for a chance to flatten out any wrinkles in a club's lineup before the domestic season begins.
A Live Season feature has been implemented within Manager Mode. As players' forms rise and fall based on performance (within Manager Mode itself, not real-world events), players will receive a temporarily higher or lower rating along with temporarily higher or lower stats to implicate the authenticity of player form.
Kit numbers can once again be edited.
The fatigue of players will be more authentic and realistic, eliminating the problem in which lower-level teams suffer from incredibly low energy levels throughout a series of matches.
The AI of other teams across the Manager Mode world has been improved significantly. Opposing clubs will rotate players more often based on factors such as fatigue, player form, and even the relative importance of a match (i.e the lineup for a top team in the early rounds of a domestic cup will consist of lower-level and younger players as opposed to a full-strength squad).
Total Football Experience will be a new feature in which football news around the Manager Mode world will be visible, including player transfers, fixtures and results in foreign leagues.
A new mode which has been revealed is the "Set-Piece Creator". Using this, runs can be assigned to specific players for different directions. It is not known yet whether this will be available on online play, as revealed by producer David Rutter.
A new feature, the Assistant Manager, has been implemented. When he is activated, he will take care of the line-up and rotate the team's squad based on importance of the upcoming match. For example, if the next match is against a low rated team, he will make sure that players that normally are on the bench will play. [4]

FIFA 09 is awesome for PC in my opinion, just because of the whole mouse controls thing that they just added. Still the mouse controls could be improved alot with stuff like doing tricks and such, hopefully that'll happen in FIFA10.
I won't make a decsion till I see reviews....
There aren't enough stadiums in Fifa 09. FOr some reason, the Bundesliga has the most official stadiums, and not even Madrid has their own ground! For Serie A, they should have Genoa's Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris....
Actually how about Napoli's ground? The third largest after the San Siro and Stadio Olympico.....
You know how Torino plays at Stadio Olimpico di Torino, and that juve is getting the Dell Alpi renovated?!
Then Fifa should make this stadium official, bcs Juventus will be sharing it whilst their own stadium is being refurbished.....

The official thing is all about licensing.
As for your post about features added in FIFA10. TO me, it seems like they just copy what Football Manager is doing and putting it into their game. Which is great in my opinion.
