Calum Davenport

Just read about the news. The West Ham defender had each of his legs stabbed several times, and he won't play soccer again, fighting to not have his left one amputated....

It is sad that these days, players must be insured bcs they are deliberately targeted.

[bLOND !-,-!]

Yeah. I remember Kaladze and his situation..... wonder how he managed to pull through? Perhaps he used the loss to play better?

It's not just about the commercial side of sports these days that puts these blokes in danger. These thugs that attacked him were looking for personal revenge, and the fact that they attacked his legs makes me sick.....

"In 2001, Kaladze's brother Levan, a medical student, was kidnapped in Georgia, with a ransom of $600,000 demanded.[16] Georgia's president at the time, Eduard Shevardnadze promised "everything is being done to locate him",[65] despite this the only time that Levan was ever seen was in a video where he was shown blindfolded and begging for help.[66] Roughly four years later, on 6 May 2005, Georgian police officers found eight dead bodies in the Svaneti region and it was speculated that Levan was among the dead.[67][68] 21 February 2006 was the date when Levan was officially identified among the deceased[16] after tests from FBI experts.
The local media claimed that the ransom was paid by Kaladze's family[69] although another source says that Kaladze's father attempted to meet the kidnappers, who fled as they believed he was followed by the police.[9] Two men were sentenced to prison for the murder; David Asatiani for 25 years and Merab Amisulashvili for five years.[69] On 14 July 2009, Kaladze's wife Anouki gave birth to their first born son in Milan. The couple subsequently named their son Levan, in memory of Kaladze's brother.[70] "

Unfortunately in the uk we have a lot of wasters who like ruining successful people lives because they are jealous and weak. I just hope Callum is able to recover from this tragedy and the thugs serve some serious time for their actions. Hopefully something come out of this and davenport will be able to become a better player or a better man he still can accomplish targets even if he can’t play football. I remember the likes of yobo and palacios becoming greater players because of their individual family tragedies.

yeah it's a shame that happened to davenport, most footballers use personal tragedy to push themselves on and play better, like oba martins, his mother was killed by an exploding gas tanker, but he urged himself on and played better in memory of it.

but with davenport, he'll never play football again he might have his leg amputated and he might even die

The second one is being charged with serious bodily harm for hurting Calumm's mother.... The first one is accusses of attempted murder.
