View Full Version : What 'IF' we win the Scudetto?!
Even after 6-0 and 7-2 aggregate defeats to the hands of rivals, along with some of the worst performances in the club's history, one has to admit that they way Inter has played in Serie A this season, ACM has still a slim chance of winning the Scudetto.
The question is what IF ACM really some how manages to win the Scudetto? What will happen after that? ..........

Galliani will say we are a team of winners and we dont need no new players.
Agree, we will see the same 11 player again next season . galliani will say this is a competitive team..
He will say that no matter what, we can win it and it will be good for the team and the coach
Our team will be full of confidence.
Our coach will have done an excellent first season (rookie of the year :D) despite the loss in CL.
We will get some money from our first place (TV rights for next year).
If Leonardo doesn't leave, he will be in position of strongness with our management: he will be able to say "I give you a list with the positions we need to reinforce, I give you 3 names for each position, your job is to bring one of the players for each position or I leave". Why ? He will be a fans' favourite because fans know that what he has achieved and could still achieve is a lot better than what we should have expected. And our management simply can't do (too) bad decisions again this summer as they are probably afraid by the way our stadium has become almost empty in Serie A ...

What Geo said , but somehow I can see that man saying fine leave I won't buy A, B or C I won't spend 10 million on 1 player are you mad , leave if you want.
Berlu really has no intention of spending say 10 million on a defender 10 on a midfielder and certainly not 40 million on Dzeko I don't think Wolfsburg will want Huntelaar they want 40 million , plus after this season Huntelaars price has decreased a bit.
I'll take the league this year because it may be the last thing we win for awhile . Lets just think of the probable.
1)Pirlo until he is 34.
2)Rino until he is 34.
3)Ambro until 35.
4)Zambo 2 more years.
5) Janku ,. Oddo , Kala , Dida , Pippo , Favalli ,Roma will all leave soon will they be replaced doubtful. The future of the club is not bright Im only going on what I see I don't think any money well not more than 7 or 8 million anyway if even that.We sign young guys alot revently but lets be honest if 3 break into the first team and become starters with 1 being world class that will be awesome but thats unlikely.
Ofcourse the long term goal of management may not be the same as ours , we want league titles champions league victorys.
They are probably content with just making the CL and getting out of the group make a bit of money don't end up in debt.
Sorry for the rant...lol

We will celebrate.
B & G will come out and state that the team is full of champions.
Leo will not get nearly as much credits as he should.
No spending.
Leo will be fire in Sept, as players in Milan will have a WC hangover.
Tassotti will take over.
Leo becomes Juve Coach in Dec.
Juve win the League.
Milan comes in 4th but since Serie A loses a CL spot to Germany, Milan will play in Europa League.
Dinho leaves Milan and head to Brazil to join his party friend Adriano.
Pato is transfer to Real or Chelsea to balance the book since there is no CL competition.
Seedorf continues to play and before every game we hope Seedorf will deliver but he fails time and time again.

That will never happen !! :D
I think you were of course ironical, but Leonardo already stated that IF he leaves Milan someday, it will only be to go to Paris (for a management post, I don't remember) ...

Well I know for instance that one of my friends were betting with me at the beginning of the season, he mentioned that if we win Serie-A this season, he gonna cut off his finger.
So, if Milan do win the scudetto, I guess someone has to lose one of his fingers then :grinser:

1) Leonardo would be fired and Berlu will make Ronaldinho Captain :r11:
2) Pato will be sold to Chelsea to balance the books :respect:
3) Onyewu given a contract extension and plans made for another beckham loan
4)Adriano bought- his name splashed in gold on milan.com :3band:
5)Nesta declared "finally over his injuries" so no defense reinforcements needed for the championship team :bri:
6)Berlu declares his interest in Cristiano Ronaldo. Milan recall Ibrahim Ba.
7)Kaladze Favalli and Inzaghi given improved contracts. :1old:
8)Pirlo outrun and bossed around by Daniel and Christian Maldini in training
9)Milan secure lucrative Sponsorship deal with Depends (http://www.us.depend.com/) Favalli made posterboy for the latest sporting line of the Depends. Berlu given lifetime supply.
10)Milan reaffirm their commitment to youth by winning the race to secure the signatures of the hottest kindergarten talents in world football. In other news Berlu secures the hottest high school talents in Italy to lead the Napoleon's bed pilot project.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Curl come on baby you know its killing you inside that we have a chance to be -1 this weekend from merda?
Come out of the inter closet and telll us you're a inter fan.Inter fan? Dude if we win i'll be happier than you. But success is a double edged sword for us. We've steadily declined since our CL. Manure won and replaced CR7 with valencia, tevez with owen barca replenished etc. What do we do? Keep selling/ losing our heroes (
Kaka, $heva, Carlo and Maldini) without the slightest idea of replacement expecting the little remaining soldiers to shoulder the burden. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME WE HAD A DECENT LEFT BACK FFS? :wth:
I just don't get why some people thought by not winning Serie-A, Berlu will start to invest again. While this might be the "general" thing to do, to improve your team when you failed to win silverware during the previous season, but what did exactly Berlu do when Milan failed to even qualify to CL? Bringing in quality players? Hardly!
It appears to me that Berlu has lost interest in investing further whether we do win it or not, so I'd rather win Serie-A! Who knows if winning it would improve our marketing value and therefore leading Berlu to sell this club at inflated price. Hopefully the new owners would be a little bit wiser.
Just my 2c.

Paolo Maldini 2008, not so long ago.

Paolo Maldini 2008, not so long ago.
Maldini is not plaing LB for a while now..I`d go in 2004 when we had Serginho and Pancaro as Lb, who actually were very solid.
I think that Antoni is developing very good under Leo..
Paolo played most of the 2007-2008 season as a LB. Remember he was our best player as LB against Arsenal in the UCL round of 16 match? Also Paolo played 2004-2005 as a LB also with Stam and Nesta as CBs, although I always loved to see him play as a CB in the last years of his career :pp20:
Will we ever get a defensive partnership like Maldini-Nesta? :moan:
Nesta out for the rest of the season!
Kiss Scudetto good-bye!

Ohhhh come on flame. Bye to Scudetto? It wont be easy but its not like we lost goal R80 and Pato for the rest of the year.
We just need to always score more goals. See defense problems solved.
I think whether we win or don't win the Scudetto, this team needs some serious changing. Midfield is bad...defense is in shambles and the offense is still lacking something to be amazing. Given Nesta's constant injury problems, we need to start looking for a great partner for Thiago Silva just in case Nesta can't play very much next season. There's just too many holes in this team and they need to be addressed sooner rather than later.
Most likely, although this may sound strange, this would be bad for us..... Berlu will gain the cocky "it was all me" attitude, and no players and most importantly, youth will come in.....
Almost each year we sign WC (or WC potential) and youngster. However, things did not always go well.
01/02 and 02/03 we spent great to get Redondo, Rui, Pippo, Nesta and others with smaller price as Seedorf, Rivaldo, Pirlo (young ^^), Kaladze, JDT...
03/04 Kaka, Cafu: young (WC latter) and WC
04/05 Stam, Crespo. Youngsters: Coloccini, Digao
05/06 Gilardino, Vieri (good for 4th striker), Janku
06/07 Ronaldo, Oddo. Youngster: Gourcuff, Grimi
07/08 Pato, Michelangelo Albertazzi
08/09 Ronaldinho, Zambrotta, Flamini. Youngsters: Cardacio, Viudez, Filipe
09/10 Thiago Silva. Young players: Adiyiah, Hottor, Verdi
I do not include the useful squad players (Beck, Hunter,...) or youngsters from Milanello (Paloschi, Abate, Astori,...). The signings of player like Hottor, Verdi,... we made each year, but not as actively as this season.
The players who are both young and playable are both rare & expensive. Cristico, Ranocchia, Bonucci,... are all loaned out first, even Chiellini took this road.
I do not want to protect B&G, but we must believe them, because there is no other way :D

I am NOT going to speculate whether we'll win the Scudetto or not. I will just say that if we do, I am getting a Milan tattoo (and yes, I'll take pictures and post them here).
Tonight's game made me think though. Nesta is out for the rest of the season, and obviously that is a big blow, but... What I saw from Milan in the second half told me that as long as we keep possession and attack our opponents (and our defensive midfielders do their job), our defence won't come under a great deal of pressure. That is probably the key to our impressive season in the league too, because to be honest, we have never looked SOLID at the back this year. Yet we've only conceded one goal more than Inter...
At any rate, to paraphrase Leo: I'm taking this one game at a time, and then we'll see where we end up.
Right now I'm just hoping we can avoid any more injuries! However, maybe this is the right point of the season for our more experienced players to show what they can do, now that we're struggling with injuries. We're out of the CL, so we'll have one week to recuperate between every game, and if this title race turns out to be a tight one, then who would be better qualified to handle the pressure than a bunch of 30+ year-olds who have been in this kind of situation many times before?
Forza Milan!! :5schal:
Who is with me that Milan's doctors are all screwed up?

Who is with me that Milan's doctors are all screwed up?
Yeah seriously. So much money invested in the Milan Lab, and they couldn't detect Nesta's injury before it got really bad. And honestly, an achilles tendon doesn't just snap either, there must have been some signs before Becks was injured.
Is it Milan Lab, or is it the people?
Who is with me that Milan's doctors are all screwed up?
i'm with u bro! too many old doctors, maybe?
I'm just not sure if it's the people who have qualification issues or is Milan lab. Milan lab can only do that much; it's the people who make the calls at that end.

I hate to say it but I think it has to do with the team doctor giving the go ahead to play players who should be rested than playing hurt.
There are a lot of ways to make a player feel fine even if they are injured like drugs or physio...Team doctor should be the one who protects the players but I have a feeling that they are force to clear those injured players due to lack of squad depth.
Now I am not saying B & G or even Leo were involve in convincing the players to play hurt but one might wonder if that is the case or not.
Kaka said that the training in Madrid is too light in comparion to in Milan.
After the success of 2002-2004, MilanLab proud of the rejuvenation of old player like Maldini, Costacuta and we sign another one: Cafu.
However, many players left Milan after long term injuries (then drop form): Serghinho, Cafu, Emerson,... they are old then we did not notice. But even Sheva and Kaka left after suffered injuries more frequently and failed to perform then.
I think, the reason is the "overclocking" method of training MilanLab gives. Maldini has the superhuman fitness so he endured, Costacuta did not play much. I doubted Redondo's case is the first error of MilanLab. Ronaldo is famous for being fragile, but he was not so at Barcelona and Real, the problem rose only at Milan (Inter then AC).
Therefore, I make bigger hypothese, top Italian teams like Milan, Juve, Inter use hard training method to be more competitive as Inter & Juve suffer many injuries, even more than us (?).
If that true, they have reason to do so, but they must recalculate.
If a player has no contact with other player (in training or matches) and collapse, there must be problem. Ronaldo, Pato, Nesta, Beckham and who's next?
This is only a hypothese. However, I really feel uneasy about the fact.
I'm just not sure if it's the people who have qualification issues or is Milan lab. Milan lab can only do that much; it's the people who make the calls at that end.Agree with your suspicions Jeff. Also there's no reason to doubt that Berlu may have cut the funding at the lab as well
