i was looking for a thread about him and didn't find one. if it does exist, mods pls scrap this one!
But really whats this guy about? The only time i hear of him is when he's linked with a transfer to Milan. Not when he scores, not when he's had a great game, not even when he has a rubbish game!!!
Someone please help.

But main medias (in Europe) rarely write something about Brazilian players unless they already play in Europe, are in the Brazilian NT, or are linked with an European club ...

Neymar seems to be one of the "next big things" (which is a funny expression for him as if I'm not wrong, he's very small), and despite that, you don't hear much about him in Europe.

Brasiliero made several comments about Hernanes in the "Kaka's father..." topic, and he did one just yesterday or two days ago ... ;)

Jst read Brasiliero's post on Hernanes and co., and i have the impression that Hernanes isn't having the best of seasons. Add this to the fact that he's young, and you have a (relatively?) cheap but (very?) good player. in other words, a bargain. I jst hpe B & G see this opportunity!

Our natural heir to Pirlo, wiht a bit more leg speed...

They wanted 15 million for him, but Leo is trying to bargain something 4 him...

I know other sides including Juve were interested, but perhaps they have lost interest?! We should hope so

How much will he go for as he isn't having the best of season's so I have heard , that and he probably will not be in the Brasil squad for the world cup can they really want 15-20 million or even higher. Some of the south american clubs surely realise (especially with the global downturn) that european clubs won't pay extra few million anymore they can't , the money from european clubs buying south american players is lowest in memory the january when they usually do their best business.Only 8 million paid for the guy that went to Atletico Mad can't remember his name , but hopefully something can be sorted out maybe 10 + rising after appearances and trophy's and such.

Yep, Jay...
The problem is that Hernanes plays for São Paulo. An well organized team(finances also), and that doesn have a Cruzeiro style(well organized also, but knows as a hungry seller). If São Paulo don't find the money they want, they will not sell, they would hold on the player to win more titles... Cruzeiro care less!

S. Paulo turned down the 15M of Barca and Cruzeiro at the same time, sold their best player(Ramires) for just 8M to Benfica. S. Paulo, Santos, Internacional are hard to negotiate. On the other hand, teams like Fluminense, Flamengo, Cruzeiro, Vasco sell easily...

But I do agree with you the economy plays a huge factor here. But while the world suffered a lot, we in Brazil almost didn't felt the effects of the World crisis. We grow less than expected, but our economy is still strong. Wow, sorry for the off topic :)

Imo it will depend on Hernanes... If he ask to leave, São Paulo will facilitate. But we have 2 problems: First, can't see Hernanes forcing his way out. It's not his style. Second, Berlusconi "banana's price" comments when Milan bought Kaká. Unnecessary and classless... São Paulo only sell Kaká for so little because he was on his last six months of contract.

There was no need for that trash talk, and people here still remember that words...

I hear ya.
But Don Silvio is classless and money play's a huge role for us seing as we are not willing to spend any , I mean Yepes really Yepes if he was just backup then fine but we know better ...Back on topic I like what Ive seen of Hernanes which is just enough to form an opinion but if he was only half the player he was it would be an imptovement atm.
Is there any chance of him coming to Milan I mean I look at names we are linked to and I honestly just don't see proper transfer's happening.

Wasn't that Sao Paolo who was saying anything about bananas (regarding Hernanes price)?

It's what I was saying on another thread, the journalists here are hard on him. Look, yesterday he scored 2 goals(the second, 5º of the team a great goal in a counter)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gWx11Q7lp0
...and still, I heard people asking for more of him. Unfair...

Imo, the problem with Hernanes today is to be effective all game. Unlike some time ago, he tends to disappear for minutes in some games. Nothing out of this world, and I think knowing is out of the next WC plays a huge factor here...

As I said, I would welcome here in Milan any day...

Didn't hear it, Siregar...
If they said that, it's another proof of what I said regarding Silvio comments in the past, and the bad feelings it left.

It started after Kaká explode into Serie A in the first season. Berlusconi in a press conference(about politics) was asked about "that new sensation of Milan and Serie A", Kaká, and he opened his mouth to do a joke and said that bought him at banana's price...

It became reason for jokes by São Paulo rivals and press, and people of the club(they are in majority Mi(Bi)llionaire) didn't like that. They didn't swallow the comments by Silvio, and I don't blame them. How do you do a amazing purchase like that and bad mouth your partners?? You can't close a door like that... Ok, closed a door is a little too much, but his comments clearly left a spot in the relationship between the clubs...

Wow, I never knew Berlu said such a thing Brasileiro. But I agree that joke aside, it's disrespecting the Sao Paolo management. And I believe what Siregar meant about this banana reply was when being asked about Milan interest in buying Hernanes, the SP president replied like "And what are they gonna pay us with? A crate of bananas?"

I didn't heard that reply(by SP president), Nalx... Thanks to clarify it for me. Now I understand what Siregar wrote.

As I expected, the Banana's comments didn't generated buzz in Europe, but here in Brazil, things were different. The problem is, the actual SP president is from the same group of the one Silvio's "joke" offended.

Sure, they will do their business if Milan want really Hernanes, but I doubt things will be pro-Milan like it was with Kaká...

Imo Leonardo presence will play a huge role in negotiations, if it's all true.
