to sum it up: personally I don't find the phone conversations between Moratti/Facchetti and Bergamo proof of any wrong doing. Thing though is that we were screwed for more or less the same kind of phone calls. In other words, we had no Swiss Sim cards.

So the scandal ain't so much about what was said in these tapped phone calls, but why they forgot to included them in the Calciopoli Trial back in 2006.

An aricle published 2/3 days ago sums it up square and fair IMHO. Very briefly, that article suggests the following:

When interrogating witnesses, Borelli was not interested in Inter affairs but in Juve and particularly Milan.

Guido Rossi (former Inter Board member) for the 1st time in football history applied an Olympic Interpretation to happenings. When Marseilles back in 1993 was stripped of the Champions League, Milan was not awarded the Trophy.
Same thing happened for ther 1927 Serie A Title whick was revoked from Torino.
Guido Rossi awarded the 2006 Serie A Title for ethical purposes to the club that had been lightly sanctioned for Passaportopoli (Recoba) and to the very team that was forced to surrender hands up a Youth Trophy for having falsified the Passports of 2 players included in the squad and least but not last having Vieri tailed.

But one thing is ethics (thanks to which Inter built a super team void of contenders) the other is reason. The outrage and fury of us Milan fans is the disparity of treatment-

most opinion makers predict that a political solutions will be to possible outcome of this Calciopoli2 Affair. Italian Football could not tolerate a repaet of 2006.

Possibly Inter will have the 2006 Scudetto revoked: end of story.

For sure their image will turn out to be not so immaculate, for sure they'll quit the White Tuxedo attitude, their common mainstream perception is that of a club of cons and hypocrites.

Bottom line though is that they've achieved in what they were pursuing. The annihilations of rivals and since it appears that our Board ain't willing to spend, the thing might go on for some time.

Hats off to the Gang of Honests

Thank you for the sum up.

My opinion won't make a difference obviously, but all should be treated equally if there is real evidence of wrong doing.

By the way I have said this before, not only related to calciopoli itself but in general when calls go Juve's or whoever's way. A call favoring a big club over another big club is really silly games. If it is favoring a big club at the expense of a smaller one then it really is a crime. Yes I am Milan fan, a big club, but I stand by that opinion.

Thanks Diavolo, the news is appreciated. Unfortunately, it's quite possibly best for Italian football if all that happens this time is Inter's 2006 scudetto is revoked.

Juventus request return of 2006 Scudetto

Juventus have requested that the two Serie A titles they lost due to the 2006 Calciopoli match-fixing scandal be returned to them.

...

Juve say new evidence produced in a Naples criminal trial linked to the scandal shows Inter were also involved in the affair and have asked the Italian soccer federation to take away the 2006 title from the European champions, who deny wrongdoing.

What matters the most to me is that they take it away from Inter. It's the last thing on earth that makes sense they have it now.
