Any film scoring 65+ on my rating scale is a good one for me. So yeah, The Tourist (2010) is a good film. Light entertainment if you like
The problem is that both Johnny Depp & Angelina Jolie, arguably the most famous iconic figures of Hollywood are in the same movie for the first time & fans were expecting some thing more than just a good movie. Maybe they were expecting a blockbuster type of movie. So just a good movie was not enough for the fans worldwide. That is why this film has been criticized by many on the forums etc.
In simple words, its a decent film. You can watch it at least once. The film you should really REALLY avoid is Stone (2010). It was embracing
