Thanks for your recomendation, I'll set my time to it. Musashi is a japanese legendary swordman, I haven't read the book, but hearing a lot of him, especially his rivaly with Kojiro.

Currently I'm learning about Taoism, focusing on the Tao te ching. Do you like this book and its phylosophy?

Reading about religions helps me a lot, too.

R3K is the best novel about the clasical chinese military & political strategy. If you are interested in books like The art of war from Sun tzu, you'll catch the meaning. Red Cliff is a good film, the content is quite different from the origin, so it gave the audience another view, despite of being more american & europe oriented

I think so, they just look alike.

I was taught a part of Ramayana in high school for classical Indian literature, Romance of three kingdoms is the chinese counter part. It is interesting to learn about other cultural heritage. However, life is short ^^

Yes, basically aum is the most well known and widely recognised symbol within Hinduism, which is essentially where it's origins lie. Other religions, like Jainism and Buddhism also use aum, but again their origins come from Hinduism too, though there are some differences in the religions (depending on perspective).

    Happy Diwali!

I don't really have a religion. By searching knowledge about the mantra: Om (aum) mani padme hum, I become obsess of it. Many Asian religions talk about it.

Is the mantra coming from Hindu?

thanks man. the thread mentions Rashid Al Maktoom, but Rashid is actually the father of Mohammed Al Maktoom..the one interested in buying Milan is Mohammed. I don't think Rashid is still alive.
