Seeing that miracles indeed exist in football, with the funny, unexplained yet coincidental element of what goes around comes around, should any flirtatious encounters with Signora Fortuna occurs next week we should be due some good fortune in our favor. In fact, I would even go as far as saying that some good karma is long overdue for us, given the dramatic turns of events which went against us in Istanbul

Historically, we've always bounced back to win the Cup with Big years after some previous ominous events in the previous campaign. For example:

We lost in the 93 final to a Marseille team on dope, despite having possibly 80 to 20 percent possession, and a shot on goal count of 30 to 1, only to recover to beat Johan Cruijff's Dream Team Barcelona a year later despite being the underdogs and missing 2 of our best defenders in Athens.

We lost in the 95 final to an Ajax team due to poor finishing, with a coach who not only refused to play a fit Il Genio in the final, but would later with a somewhat act of treason shatter the hearts of our tifosi having led our rivals Juve to 2 scudetti (yeah 2 since Juve will retain the scudetto this year ) The outcome of the 95 final too was decided by a legend who once wore our colors with distinction, and a player who would go on and represent our club colors.

The unfortunate events in the 95 final was again offsetted by our win in Manchester in 2003 where along the way, we were smooched by Lady Luck's kiss of kismet with a late late goal against Ajax, and an away goal elimination of our cugini :jester: In Manchester, on a night where gameplan and goalscoring chances were concerned, we were unquestionable the better team despite the views of many critics labelling the match as an anticlimax borefest of anti-football

I'll not dwell much of the heartbreak of Istanbul again, though to a certain degree Lady Luck, who after a sizzling sensual night of rendezvous with the Merseysiders in Turkey, turned her back on them in Yokohama for some pulsating, passionate Paulistas instead

So far, we've not been compensated for the ill-fated events in Istanbul but having seen the above events happened during my years as a Milan fan and being a believer of karma we should be due some favorable change in fortune With the utmost impossible task of outscoring Barça in their home ground :scared: it would indeed require a miracle for us to reach 7th heaven in Paris next month May the miracle appear next Wednesday

Forza Milan
