- Why are Milan colors red and black?
When the team was founded, the original members took the red from the city flag (like the English flag) red cross over white background (like the right side of today's Milan emblem)... and following the English trend of the striped shirts, they used the black because it was intimidating and powerful...
The red/black combination looked so dark and powerful that it didn't take long before the team was called: Il Diavolo (the devil)
