In 1908, the FIGC forbid the entrance of more foreign players into the Italian teams, but 3 big teams decided not to admit any players from outside Milano, or not Italians... those teams (Milan, Genoa, and Torino) were suspended from the competition.
Some of the Milan members felt this policy wasn't right, and they left the club to form their own, where players from other nationalities were accepted... they created the Football Club Internazionale Milano... remarking Internazionale... now you know why...
