I think everyone is missing Graeme's point.
In the Premier League All-Stars tournament a number of PL teams put in squads made up of ex-players, fans and celebrities. The winner got £50,000 for the charity of their choice.
Oh and it was an indoor tournament (6 or 7 a side) on carpet, had sin bins (the ref would issue a blue card and send them to cool off
) and a powerplay period when any goal scored in the final minute counted for 2.
So you wouldn't really have MVB & Maradonna up front as the latter obviously played for Napoli. I think most of it was by invitation only so you couldn't really pick the teams.
