That just pisses me off, especially since it comes from the same subhuman who also cheered the flare incident in '05.

People are free to criticize Dida for his gameplay until they are blue in the face, regardless of what anyone else thinks, and it's my problem if I choose to get all touchy about it. That's why there's black and white. If you think he made an ass of himself for the dive tonight, you'll get no argument from yours truly. What's done is done, and all I care about at this point is finding out why he did it.

But there is absolutely no excuse whatsoever in condoning the fan's actions. That crosses the line and it makes me sick. Have we honestly reached the point where we're so displeased with a player's form that we want them to face physical harm? Had the fan been brandishing a weapon, nobody would be cracking jokes about it. For God's sake, we have more class than that.

Like Baggio said, we don't know exactly what happened. I've looked at other sites, and descriptions therein of the attack (semantically speaking) are all over the place. This was a bizarre incident and I am reserving judgment until more information becomes public. If he's guilty, he'll be disciplined accordingly.
