After viewing the ridiculous events that led to the postponement of the match, I can only agree with the sentiment that Milan should be awarded the points.
Atalanta, the club itself, has to be held accountable for the actions of their fans...regardless of what a protest is about, the majority of the "fans" at the stadium, wanted to see a football game...kids crying because they couldnt get to watch a match? For what? So some few idiots could stop a game which 100 times their number wished to see?
A team captain, with tail tucked neatly between his legs, going to beg some clowns for permission to play? What is this? What is Calcio and Italian society coming to?
But the bottom line remains that no steward, no police officer, no one moved to stop these hooligans from their infantile and ridiculous actions...I mean really...who died and made them God?
Kaka is right to state that stars wont be attracted to a league where their families cannot watch them play in safety. (theguardian, channel4.com)
Unless Italian society acts on this incident, they can only expect worse.
Again, the three points to Milan...and Atalanta to play in a neutral/empty stadium for the rest of the Serie A season.
