Joining Bayern
Luca Toni has revealed how he had already signed a contract with Milan before eventually joining current club Bayern Munich.
The prolific hitman signed for the Bavarian giants this summer from Fiorentina and has had an explosive start to life in Germany.
Many experts wondered why none of the big Italian teams came in for Toni, despite his status as one of Europe’s best goalscorers.
"You all know that I was near to joining Inter two years ago and even Juventus,” said Toni.
“However with Milan I went further - I had already signed the contract.
“Even with Roma, at the time of Lodigiani, there was an approach.”
