And don't forget, alot of teams play with 4 solid midfielders, with 2 out and out DM's and a roaming Pirlo, we will die against such teams.

I am more in favor of Pirlo in his traditional holding role, anchoring the midfield, and the defense, but in some games I would prefer to play a solid 3 man midfield or even a solid 4-4--2 with 4 midfielders and some natural wingers to add some depth. Some tactical variablility would be nice considering how big our squad is.
Rino and Flamini is more than enough to cover on the counter attack...it's not like Pirlo won't help at all. Also if we have a PROPER DEFENSE, Rino and Flamini can lock down any counter attack easily. I just hope we can get a proper attacking game going because ever we started playing that 2 DM thing, our attacking game has diminished considerably. We're no longer a threat to teams to the point where they have to adapt their tactics to defend against us. Now it's just man mark Pirlo and Kaka and game, set, match. Until Pato came onto the scene of course..
