It is hard for me to understand when someone isn't ambitious.
Football players want to win trophies, want to play at big clubs. Very few choose to stay in a small club. I understand it's a safe environment but where's the challenge?!

I'm glad you mentioned that business example because I just transfered from a small Audit company to a big Audit company (one of the Big4)... everything was working for me, but I wanted more. You understand? I can do better. I will start as a junior, but in time I will achieve more there. That's why I can't understand him. If he knows he's good, than he's confident that he will show his class to the new coach and earn his place in the team.

But enough. You're right, he's not coming. Luckily we have Seedorf
Can't say Gourcuff is not ambitious. He stayed at Bordeax and wants to win the CL with Bordeax. Look back 15 years, and you will find that ManU was not a big club like they are today. Cantona, Schemechial, Keane and even Giggs can all play the big clubs at that time, but they all choose to stay with ManU.
Also, we all think Milan is still a big club, but the fact is, other people might think Milan is becoming Arsenal. Look at it this way, there are rumors of clubs offering Pirlo, and Pato after the sale of Kaka and Milan was actually thinking about it. But do you see rumors of Rooney leaving ManU?

I admire you taking the jump at your job. BUt it is different then what I said. I view Bordeux as a club with a chance to get bigger, like winning CL or always playing in CL for the next 5 years. On top of that, I doubt your new job requires you to move to another country and starts your life from phrase 1.

Anyhow, no point talking about Gourcuff as he is really gone.
