Yes, it was disappointing the way that he left, but he'll always be a Milan hero.
My guess is, if you ask him what are his favorite memories from his career, many of them will be at Milan. I think he realized what a mistake he made leaving.
Finally, despite everything that happened Milan made out big time financially with his sale, even though they squandered most of it.
