Messi and Ronaldo do have the goals, but they have so much more than just the numbers.
Pato doesn't seem interested at times to track back or put an effort, and the team members (from Ancelotti, Seedorf, Ambrosini and today Oddo) have told Pato to train harder and mature more. He doesn't seem to be taking any advice his team mates give him. His decision making is his worst aspect, he is amazingly good at doing the wrong decision, almost every time.

I agree with what you're saying and would also like to add that to get the best out of Pato I think he has to be played closer to goal. That way, the only thing he has to worry about is putting the ball in the back of the net. Seeing him try to build up play and missing 5 metre passes over and over again is quite frustrating given his immense potential.
That being said, he is very young and should be given time to develop. He has immense potential and I believe that if he fulfills it he'll become the best
striker in the world.
