Milan vs. Sampdoria

Still early I know, but it never hurts to get a goal in mind. Next game Sampdoria will visit the San Siro to challenge Milan.

Latest news on injuries:

MILAN - Doctor Massimo Manara talked about the situations of all the injured players with Milan's doctor Massimo Manara:

Favalli
'He has started the physical work. He is clearly improving. On Monday he should return to work with the group.

Kaladze
'He has been checked and it was confirmed his old scar has caused a lesion. But the pain is decreasing. More evaluations will be made on Monday when he starts doing physical work.'

Nesta
'His physical work is proceeding more than positively. From Monday he will be back with the team completely.'

Senderos
'He has clearly improved. He is also set to rejoin the team next week.'

Pirlo
'An ecography evidenced that his lesions are turning into scars. From today he incremented the physical work, there will be one more check in 15 days.'

Borriello
'He was checked this morning. His muscular problem is completely resolved. He will be available next week.'

Flamini
'He didn't answer the call up of the national team because he suffered a trauma to his right ankle in the match at Cagliari. He was subjected to an x-ray check, so he will stay out for 5-6 days."

Forza Milan!

if no injuries occur during the Qualifiers, our team (including Nesta and Borriello) should be able to beat Sampdoria

Hahahaha! I adore those 5 days injuries just before two weeks pause for internationals. For Doria:
-------------abbiatti------------
-zambro-nesta-senderos-antonini----
--------------flamini----------
----ambrosini-----seedorf-------
--------------dinho---------
-----pato-------boriello-------

Kaka, Marek, Kaladze will most likely be unfit to play due to intense regime/traveling. And Zambro is a palyer that CAN play that ammount of matches. While I would love to see Senderos with Nesta. Aldough Maldini will most likely play.

Flamini, Boriello, Pato, Dinho, Seedorf will have ewnough time to recover so that should be fresh.

Pato is also with Kaka in Brazil, but i still think they both can play..

Kaladze is still injured btw... dont think he was call-up for the national team...

and indeed, i'd like to see Antonini instead of Janko

Can't wait to see Nesta back in action...THE most consistent player for Milan. If only he didn't get injured so often

MILAN-SAMPDORIA: THE DISCIPLINARY SITUATION
10/14/2008

MILAN - Milan will have just one player suspended for the game against Sampdoria scheduled for Sunday at 3pm at Sani Siro and valid for the 7th matchday of Serie A: Gianluca Zambrotta. No players are carrying a yellow card. Also for Sampdoria there are no players cautioned, but two players will be suspended: Pietro Accardi and Daniele Dessena.

I dont mind a Bonera-Nesta-Maldini-Janku Defense tho :P

with nesta back our defensicve problems are over. borriello should start as he is so important. borriello should be partnered by pato with kaka in behind. we will win 3-0

I read Inzaghi was injured in the friendly match with Tirana, is this true?

I think it's a bit much to expect Nesta to come in for this match after only playing 1 match, he needs more time to gain his fitness.

Sampdoria were playing great football before the International break, so if they continue where they left off we'll have a tough match on our hands.

Samp is not the same team from last year, they are struggling big time this time around. They have a solid squad on paper but for some reason they don't seem to be getting the results. They did play well against Inter and Juve though (i think).
