This is my squad for the nex year:

players out:
Dida- big man, I liked him, but his time has came.
Cafu, Maldini, Stam- too old and not stable.
Gattuso- he runs a lot every match and very emotional, except that he pretty worthless. We just look not strong in the midfield like we used to, and even got ourselves humiliated in that area by Lyon and Barca infront of our own fans... that says it all.
Seedorf- same reasons as Gattuso, and I also tired of him. Time for a change...

Players in:
GK- whoever: Coupet, Frey... there are many good young goalkeepers out there.
Heitinga- great defender playing for Ajax and holland national team. Everyone who follows Ajax and dutch football will agree with me.
Chivu- no need to explain.
Shwainstiger- best german player for sure, and not Ballack. Him and Heitinga are very flexible and can add much in the midfield and attack. This kind of players that can do all: defend, hold the ball, be creative and support the attack are the basis for every great team.
Gerrard- same as Gattuso but with talent. Not only he is the engine of the team, but also can score and set up another players.
Diarra/Mancini- if u want more muscles and possesion than Diarra, if u want more creativity than Mancini.

Players to stay:
Nesta- maybe the best CD in the world.
Pirlo- has very crapy season, lets hope he will improve next year. He should stay, because when he plays right he is the best in his department.
Kaka- the future "Totti" of Milan, ofcause he should stay.
Sheva-....
Gila- same as Pirlo, he had a crapy season. But remember when he hitted Barca's post, the way he "steal" the ball from that two defenders, not many in the world can do that...

Also Ancheloti should leave, no point for him to stay. The best replacement I can think of is Hiddink, maybe the best coach in the world, the problem is he isn't available... maybe van Basten than?

Well this is my squad for the next season, hope to hear what u have to say. I know that there was a thread similar to this, couldn't find it though...

Heitinga..is good but not sure if ajax can give. We shud have had swapped him for stam hehehehe
chivu..tired of him, his thread has been there for 2 years and there hasn't been any serious stuff. Recently i had heard that berlu is going to get roma a tv right deal which wud give them 80 mn euros in all (haah that freakin big) and instead of that we wud get chivu!

schweinsteiger...yeah he is so good i don't think he is defender he is attacking midfielder, istead i was thinking abt podolski, who is in soon to be relegated team - koln, who is equally good.

gerrard forget it, first of all he won't be sold and even if he is it wud be around 50 mn pounds so that liverpool has money to build their new stadium

diarra man u or real will snatch, what an awesome player and mancini has done gr8 this season but again its very unrealistic of him coming to milan

goal keepers... hmmm we have to get some1 gud. I see it this way:

new castle had taken a big loan to buy the money minded owen from real and they haven't done anything new with him so if they are in a big debt then we shud snatch shay given from them. he's 30 and saving new castle's a$$ alot of times.

milan squad 2006/07:

Goalkeepers: Dida, Kalac, Fiore

Defenders: Maldini, Nesta, Oddo, Cafu (if he wants to stay), Gallas, Alex, Jankulovski, Kaladze.

Midfielders: Pirlo, Kaka, Diarra (of not him id keep Ambrosini), Gattuso, Seedorf, Vogel, Serginho, Rui Costa (if he leaves, some one like Sneijder), Mancini.

Forwards: Shevchenko, Gilardino, Inzaghi (though i prefer Adriano ), Amoruso (if he leaves, Tavano/Kuijt/Suazo)

Just let me underline one thing: I do appreciate a lot our corrent players, but if we want to be competetive on the same level we used to, than there are painful changes to be made.
I estimate that the squad I offered may cost us 50-80 millions, if we will be willing to spend such ammount of money than it's possible. I think there will be a big change in our transfer-market policy, I know we have the means for it. The day when we were great team that dominated europe are all over, then we needed a little make-ups once a while and know we need a huge reconstruction.

Lets look at it:
Heitinga can cost us like 5mil.
Chivu- I know Real offered for him 15 mil, so we have to do at least the same.
Shwainstiger- 10 mil I think will be enough. And as for his position, well I saw him playing also as a defender... I think he played us as a defender. And that is what I talking about, a player that can play every where.
Gerrard- it's possible, things in football change sometimes. If we spent 24 mil on Gila, we can spend 30-35 on Gerrard. It's all depend on him, if he'll want to come than it can be done.
Diarra/ Mancini- it's hard to me to evaluate this two players... do u think 20 mil will be enough for each one?

So it's all together is like 80 millions, but don't forget we can offer our corrent players in exchange. We can lower this sum by offering our players, let's just say to 50 millions total (80-30=50).
I just can't see which other options we have, that changes have to be made... Just let me tell u though it will be strange to see our veteran players playing in different colours, Gattuso in Liverpool or Seedorf in Roma... it will take some time to get used to it, and to see so many new faces playing in milan jersey.

P.S. just saw some new guy in the midfield Bloudek in our squad for Messina game, at acmilan.com... know who he is?

Both teams above qualify for "dream" teams and I honestly don't see how this thread is any different from the one we already have - actually it's more like 10 such threads that have already been started and merged and started and merged again.
It's nice to "dream" of heart-stopping line ups but let's get real - for next year, Milan will get at most 2 defenders (make that one if Cafu decides to stay), a midfielder (don't expect him to make the 1st page headlines), and maybe, just maybe a striker if in end Amoroso is deemed not reliable enough. Even a fully attainable player like Mancini looks like a dream-one to me let alone names like Diarra, Gerrard, Adriano, Schweinsteiger, etc.

Well if Zlatanov is right we should forget about Scudetto and CL... but hey watch out TIM cup, here we come!!!!!

alex, even though some people may share your dream, zlat is right... that's how the team reality works...

This is for dream team or a reality ?? most there will be 3 in and 3 player out that all.

u think 80 million, or 50 million is just anything?? ...

id love to have adriano here for example, same with diarra... but the two alone would cost around 60 million...

realistically... i think we will go for someone like oddo, gallas, and probably sneijder if rui decides to leave

the players i mentioned are who id like to see here, and if u dont include adriano and mancini in there i dont see why we cant do so

hey, you never know, plus, if rui and vogel/janku leave, we might end up getting 2 midfielders ... mancini and Bresciano don't sound that bad.

Alex's realistic price is more like twice that (even in this case I would consider him something close to a bargain, though). I read somewhere that Chelski value him at 10-12 but I am not sure if even that won't be an underestimate.
For Gallas, I guess we would have to pay some money, not his full market value but still not exactly for free - ~5 mil is what I have read being mentioned.

I personally believe that should it be possible to get him for 20 mil, that would be a great deal for us ... players like him you don't find any other day, and he's like 24-25 with a great deal of experience. Problem is Lyon are NOT forced to sell him, so they can protract the deal and milk the buyer as much as they wish. My guess is he will end up either at Real M, Man U or Chelski, when they decide to replace Makelele. Unless, Pirlo or/and gattuso leave, I just don't see us going for such an expensive player.
Ajax is asking for 12 mil for Sneijder and I doubt they would agree for anything less than ~10mil
As you see that's an extra 20 mil on those 39-40mil you suggested ... and that's without any jaw-dropping transfers like that of Gerrard or Adriano or Henry. Business aint that simple as it seems from the fan's point of view. The club's gotta be run and run smart as we don't have any extra money to splash around and spending a lot has never been a sure recipe for success too.

I totally agree. Diara will be more expensive that Essain (23million). Plus all the player above were not transfer listed or want to leave i think(except gallas). So unless we offer a high price only we can get them.

By the way Milan is not a high spender. We will only buy player if there is a need of example our key player is gone. That why we get Gila for Crespo replacement at high price only unlike chelsea or Madrid.

Mostly only 1 player above will end up in Milan which is possible to be Gallas only by the mean time..But we still need something in reply as Mourinho want him to stay.

but i never said that we will go for all the players i mentioned... read my post again, i said i expect oddo, gallas and maybe sneijder if rui leaves...

the other part is what i would hope for

Kaladze has been in great form lately and forms a great centre back duo with Nesta. I hope Kaladze and Nesta will be our most used central defenders next season!
