New LB sugegstiong 2009/10

Obviousuly after seeing the preseason, one area which the club and us fans have generally flagged as a concern is the LB position.....

Any suggestions? Remember, considering MGT's spending habits of late, we must be realistic!:

Srna, Luis Felipe or Criscito.
but also RB is possible, De silvestri, Rafinha... there are options!

i'm sure at the end of last season we were linked to Srna? would of been nice.

The 27-year-old is widely tipped to join a bigger team this summer, with the likes of Milan keeping tabs on him too. Nevertheless, Bayern appear to be sitting in pole position to sign Srna.

1. Srna is a RIGHT winger, not so much a full back.

2. Would be too expensive, as he's got a rich, long term contract with Saktar

He's one player we can be sure isn't coming to Milan.

your info is wrong amigo! Srna plays as a fullback at shakhtar!
and in case you didnt notice, zambrotta can also play as leftwingback, so no problems there.

convincing srna wouldnt be the problem I think, as serie A is much more atractive than the ukrainian league. but you are correct when you say he would be an expensive buy. but he for sure is quality!!

Genova recently bought Criscito, so I dunno if they are willing to sell at this point. Plus, he is probably worth some 15m right?

Zambrotta as LB and Atnonini as RB
Backups, we have Janku, Kaladze and Oddo

End of Problem

This is a B&G type solution to a problem

Antonini is not Milan material. He is far from enough with respect of his quality to be Milan starter.

I prefer to use : Antonini is not worse than Janku. So, both are not capable to be Milan starter as fullback except Jankulovski to play as (attacking) midfielder.

What happened to all those who say Albertazzi is the man and he will be the next big thing for MIlan......Doesn't he plays LB????

For real, Milan will not sign any LB this year.

1. They will give Albertazzi a chance to show if he can sticks with the rest of Series A.
2. Antonini and Janku may not be your ideal LB but they are better than 70% of the LBs out there and from the names that had been mentioned sofar. With the exception of Cissohko, the others, Santos, Maxell, Heinze... are really not much better than Antonini and Janku.
3. Lastly, if both Janku and Antonini failed completely or injured, Zambro will move to the left and Flamini will play as RB. As I really don't see how Flamini can get any decent playing time if Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambro(captain) and Seedorf are all healthy.

Flamini is our best midfielder this year, he should easily start over Ambro... if they want to rotate Gattuso and Ambro in one of the other midfield slots that works i guess
