Of course the main difference Mourinho hasnt felt untill he came to serie a is that Italian fans dont live for papers and tv shown about Beckham and Mourinho's stupid statemantzs which sound like they have been said by child comparing to what is Carlo saying lately... Mourinho really dissapointed me with his behaviour here.
EPL is, tactically, except 4,5 clubs HORRIBLE! There are clubs out there who are completely unable to adopt the way they play to certain match. There are coaches out there that wouldnt get a licence in Italia. and so on. Cappello said: " There is no such coach in theworld taht can come to Italy and learn italian coaches somthing, in here everything about football in known." But I dont agree on Ibra-Drogba: Ibra CAN play with his back on the goal, even better then Drogba. And Ibra is a reason Inter is not 5-6 points behind us. Still, the difference is tactical approach of other italian coaches, which does not excist in Portugal and England ( except for big 5 which are coached by Ferguson, Benitez, Scolari and Wenger ). The other ones are ridicuious. If you have time, take a look of a, lets say... Bolton-Wigan and you'll see that there are no tactical variation at all. Strenght is a main carecteristic of EPL, while in serie a its tempo changes and tactical planing. Forza Milan! ![]()

I think Serie A is probably more technical than most other leagues, but i think you can make a case for other leagues quite easily. Some of the arguments here are quite weak and very circumstantial.
As for Dutchie-Milan's post about Santacroce being a Milan fan when he was younger, what difference does that make? Raul dreamt of playing for Milan too, doesn't mean they're going to make the move to us.

I think Mourinho's mistakes are several:
- didn't consider that italian media are very different from british ones - didn't consider that with the huge amount of good homegrown coaches, we would have never liked a coach who claims to be the prophet of football on Earth - didn't consider that italian society is deeply divided and nervous, so his attitude has been taken very seriously and probably misunderstood by media and fans in general - didn't consider that 4-3-3 is a typical EPL module, while in Italy it never was successful - didn't consider that italian coaches of lower teams (some of which he disrespected, like calling Beretta "Barnetta" ) are as tactically prepared as the big ones On a less serious note, did you guys read what Lo Monaco, Catania's Director, told Mourinho? Firstly he said that Mourinho should be beaten up with a piece of wood, then he declared that he was misunderstood, and that Mourinho should be shut up with concrete in his mouth, but these are just folcloristic sicilian expressions ![]()

yes, Gio, I read that, but that was probably a couple months ago... Still Mourinho finds a way to be more notable during the press conference than on the pitch... and he keeps making enemies... I don't think he will be in Italy for a long time...

BREAKING NEWS!!!!
Nesta To Quit Football - Reports Milan defender Alessandro Nesta could be forced to retire from football at just 32 years of age as a result of on-going injury problems, according to La Stampa... The Rossoneri stopper has spent more time in the treatment room than on the pitch over the past few seasons with an on-going back problem. He has missed a number of important games for his side and he may end up missing the rest both this season as well as in the future. Turin-based newspaper La Stampa claims the former Italian interntional may have no choice but to hang up his boots as a result of his injury. It is believed Nesta has problem with a slipped disc in his back and he has been allowed to fly back to Miami to see a specialist. Reports suggest the stopper may even need an operation which could put his career in jeopardy. If Nesta does need the operation then the chances of him returning to the game will be slim. The Italian has been a great servant to the club ever since joining them from Lazio in 2002. Milan fans will be hoping the World Cup-winning defender doesn't need surgery so he can return to the pitch sooner rather than later. ---------------------------------------------------- I hope he will be back but we must not count on him!!!! We sould be a very good CB! I think we sould buy Zapata or Santacroce in the winter in ant cost! |

you cant say on buying a player at any cost in milan.
lately we calculated all economical aspect precisely, even for a player who comes for free, player who comes for treatment and player who comes for practice in short time to regain a place in his NT ![]()

Actually I believe in the Cigarini's rumor as it makes a lot of sense.
So next year, Milan will have Cigarini and Canini(also secured first option) joining. |
