AC Milan vs Fenerbahçe: POST GAME COMMENTS

The game thread was getting out of hand in terms of keeping track of the squabble between the Turkish fans and editing vulgar comments, etc. Hopefully this will give us a chance to keep it clean and immediately edit/ban any returning posters seeking only to 'stir it up'.

So, after knowing who our saviuor was from yesterday "SUPER KAKA", I still want to point out that small teams with vivacious free flowing football give us a lot of F***ing headaches, mostly because our ageing guys don't have that versatility... I hope we could get a solution to this... FAST. 'Cause you guys are being foreknown for that all over Europe... I wanted to say that although I didn't see the last game.

Fave Players: Maldini, Nesta and Kaka. NO MORE Sheva!!
Oldman is on a distinguished road
First of all THANKS GOD that Kaka and Sheva saved us from a draw game which could make us down for the next games.

Secondly, I do appreciate if other fans could behave appropriately when visiting our forum rather than fighting each other and not discussing about football or the game.

Next week will be another CL game....Will it be the away game against Fenerbahce or against PSV or Schalke 04?? Could some one who knows explain which team are we going to face??

Don't blame Gattuso for the mistake he made against Fenerbahce as I believe he doesn't do it deliberately but aiming to prevent Dida from the danger.
IMHO Rino is still needed by MIlan but of course Carletto must explain to him when and how to defend better unstead of giving out PK to the opponent.

1st test has passed successfully and there will be another 5 games to come.....
If we can win 3 more games out of 5 then we wil go through and hope that we are top of the group.

Ok, so if I may, and we all try, lets keep this thread to comments about the actual game, and not garbage battles between supporters of two clubs, none of which happen to be Milan.

My thoughts:

A good game, despite Carlo´s wierd selection of both Ambro and Rino to play contemperaneously. IMO, Vogel could have started with Serghino, and one subbed for Pirlo in the second half..Carlo did it the other way around, though with good results...Sheva´s goal coming from a rebound from a stinging shot by the Brazilian.

I am quite sure that had we started with Max, Vogel and Serghino, we would have scored more goals in the first half...but my hindsight, as with most others, is 20/20.

Overall, an average performance, with a few noteworthy exceptions:

Dida: Didnt have much to do, but did well when he had to: 8/10

Kaladze: Stuck close to home, as Cafu was bombing up the flank, solid game, and good shot in the second half, which brought out a good save from the Turkish keeper. 7/10

Maldini: Excellent game, with just one or two errors: 8.5/10

Nesta: No mistakes I can recall: 9.5/10

Cafu: Impressive to see the Brazilian´s work ethic...always running, good crosses for the most part: 8/10

Pirlo: Tired visibly in the second half, where his passes seemed telegraphed, or inaccurate, excellent first half: 7.5/10

Gattuso: Usual mindless running, and his over enthusiastic tackle in the box on Anelka (who was diving in anticipation of such a robust shoulder tackle)resulted in the penalty: 6/10

Ambro: "Di real Big Man" to use a Jamaican expression: Stood tall in the middle, broke up attacks, usually fairly, all round an excellent game: 8.5/10

Kaka: What can I say? The inspiration for the Milan victory, the magician of Milan. Got us the lead, got us ahead, helped to seal the victory with a world class pass to Serghino, whose shot set up the Sheva tap in: 10/10

Vieri: Barely had an impact, had several chances, but all in all, a VERY disappointing outing, from the Italin international...causing me to coin the new name of "eeediat Vieri" every time he touched the ball: 4/10[eediat is Jamaican for idiot)

Sheva: The difference between his activity and that of his fellow forward was like night and day. I realise the difference in their styles/roles, but somehow, Sheva made Vieri look like the finished player he may very well be: 9/10

Serghino: NR...though his stinging shot created the second goal

Vogel: NR...mistake in the middle could have been costly, but not a bad outing.

Gila: NR (not enough time, but good off the ball running)

Carlo: Again bemused and stressed this pundit and fan out completely with his team selection, but his tactics, and subs were sound, if not inspired. Used the rotation well, except for the Gattuso/Ambro pairing. All in all, ok: 7/10

and there you have it, folks.

NR for serginho??? His presence changed the whole game! The reason Kaka was able to score that second goal is because the Fener defenders had to account for the wide runs of serginho and weren't concentrated in the middle - which is why Kaka was able to run right through the centre and score that magical goal. Serginho's game = 8/10!

The game reminded me of Milan vs Celtic last season. 1-1 until a fantastic goal from Super Pippo and a deflected Pirlo free kick(I think) in the last ten or so minutes. I'm looking forward to Pippo returning in the next couple of weeks, though it may take a while for him to regain his form.
I was hoping Vieri and Gilardino scored yesterday, just to get some confidence and maybe start a goal-scoring run.

if i may interject here for a moment......

now i am not one to mince my words and i usually say it as i see it...so he it is....

Nadir!!....i respect you as a fellow fan for my great team and i have learnt over time to allow you alot of room with certain comments becuase in the past some have been borderline....but i beleive you totally insulted abyss without proper reason. calling her an idiot was not required and had it been me in her position i would have procedded to rip you apart with all types of insulting and foreign language......

In fact i think alot of you reacted very poorly in that thread...and i was shocked and upset.......

now i would have written u a private meaage about this...but i figured this needed to be open to the public so that all can see that fair is fair here in MM...no matter who you are , a fan or not...a certain amount of respect should be maintained thorughout all forums and posts.

I do hope u do not take this the wrong way and try to understand what i am saying and where i am coming from.......

I will always respect you and all my other MM family here but when we cross the line someone has to step up and say it.
